Sam’s Environmental Cleaners

Been using these guys since 2012 and I’m quite satisfied with their service and would recommend them to others. Price was my first thumbs up with them.

I’ve been a client of Sam’s for over one year now and I have had nothing but great service.
My fiancé also brings his shirts to be laundered. The staff is helpful and friendly. Couldn’t be happier. I have tried several cleaners in the area and I’m glad I finally found a place I can rely on.

This got one star because I couldn’t give them zero in the app.
I’ve been doing business with Sam’s cleaner since they opened well over a decade. Literally spent thousands of dollars in those years as I wear business clothes daily. Sam’s never did a great job, but I was a loyal customer and give people chances to improve.
Many times I would be away on a trip and unpack a freshly dry cleaned shirt to find stains and issues.
I’ve always suspected missing garments, however I have many and could never pinpoint what was missing.
The straw that broke the camels back was when they lost my suit jacket in November. I brought in my suit with a large order and only got the pants back. I didn’t realize it was missing as I picked up a very large order that day.
I went back several times asking them about my jacket. Every time they said they would look for it and give me a call, which they never did. Now I have to spend several hundred dollars replacing that suit. Sam’s cleaners never offered to reimburse me or said they were sorry.
They’ve lost my business forever and I would recommend no one uses them.

Staff is Great and Helpful! I started coming here after having a bad experience in town. Since then I keep coming back with clothing and uniforms and always satisfied! I recommend.

BEWARE!!! Terrible customer service. Poor quality work. Do your self a favor and go somewhere else.

WORST CLEANERS EVER!!! Don’t spend your hard earned $$$ here!
They lost/​gave away one piece of a three piece outfit and the outfit is ruined without the missing item. I have gone back over half a dozen times and walked out unsatisfied each time, at one point they told me that they would replace the missing item by making me a new one. The missing item is a cream colored shell that goes under a lace top. I said that would be fine, then when I went back to pick up the shell I was told that they had decided against doing that for me and that they would be doing nothing at all.
Secondly, I had taken one of my husband’s sports coats into be cleaned and pressed. Picked up the Coat and it actually seemed MORE wrinkled than it was when I dropped it off. Took the very same coat to a dry cleaners I have used in Fallbrook and the coat was returned to me looking flawless!!!
DON’T GO THERE!

I always get my clothes cleaned here, never had a problem! A few times with last minute emergencies and they were always able to help me out when I needed them next day and even same day! Amazing hours since I work so much I can always go before or after work and I still make it in time to pick up my clothes.

I love this place! I needed my Halloweencostume altered fast for a Halloween party, so I needed a same day alteration. I went in at 10 and they said to come back before they closed later that day and It was ready! Lupita was really helpful and nice about it and had me talk to the alteration lady right before she was leaving to do it that same day.

The establishments seem so not to care about their clients. Took some shirts and jackets to this cleaners. The ink marks and stains were still there. They act like you are bothering them to do it over. It only took a few minutes so I’m wondering if they even touch my clothes rather, they just iron them and put them in the plastic. BEWARE!!! LOOK EVERYTHING OVER. Make sure you have the coup or you will be paying a very high price

I forgot to pickup my drycleaning over the weekend and had to have it before monday morning… they quickly responded to my facebook message and arranged a time to let me pickup on a sunday. Thank you for helping me get out of a bind!

My husband took his button up shirts to this cleaners to be washed and ironed. He got his shirts back half ironed. One sleeve would be ironed while the other one wasn’t. The shirts were pressed with wrinkles in them. The bottom of the shirts weren’t even touched by the iron. The front of the shirts were ironed with wrinkles. I was appalled by the lack of workmanship from the cleaners. The point of us taking the shirts to the cleaners is to have them done correctly so that I don’t have to do them!

Price hike!!! Rude staff!!!
I really liked this cleaners until today. They recently raised prices like I’ve never seen before. $ 32 for 2 sport coats, 2 dress shirts and 4 ties, PLUS a $ 10 same day fee. The man working the counter in the morning did not say a thing about an additional fee!
When I asked about the increased prices the clerk just laughed and asked where am I going to go instead. Well, the joke’s on you. You just lost a steady customer. Last time I use this cleaners.

This place did a TERRIBLE job at cleaning my BRAND NEW comforter. There was hair and lint and and dust particles ALL over the comforter when I took it out of the plastic bag. NEVER again will I go to this place for any cleaning. I wish I could give them zero stars. I’m so disgusted.

I have been using this cleaner for about a year. My experiences have been good. The prices are reasonable. They will provide one day service if requested without additional charge. The quality of the cleaning has met my expectations without any issues. I once asked them to sew on a button for me. I expected to pay. The lady immediately sewed it on and told me that there would be no charge. That demonstrated attention to customer service. I encourage the ladies behind the counter to smile from time to time. That would improve the experience and would lead to a 5-​star rating from my point of view.

Being going here weekly for years. After thousands of shirts, not even one broken button. Definitely recommend.

Great service and better prices. The Unilocal check in offer works great. They take the «one free item» offer and apply it to the most expensive item on the ticket. These guys are great about providing the best price to their customers, especially Unilocalers.

Price is cheap. I used to bring my clothes there all the time until they lost my $ 80 pair of pants. Employee told me she would research and call me later that day. Never got a call back. Then when I called they asked if I had already picked it up with the rest of my other clothes that I have brought a few days later. I showed them my ticket. Even though my husband still goes there they have lost my business for good.

The WEIRD Vintage Shopper here. I have to report on the heinous TAILOR at Sam’s.
Every fashionable woman knows the secret to looking great isn’t always how much you spend on a garment – it’s the fit! My 2 tailoring problems are a gap at the back of the waist, & a gap at the back of the collar. [Seems like the back of me is saggin’ everywhere.]
I had a ton of stuff, but only brought in 2 items until I could see the quality of the work. But when I mentioned I had stacks of clothing the gal at the counter said, «You’ll get a much better price if you bring it in all at once. Don’t worry; he’s an EXCELLENT tailor.» Said man showed up, so I also asked if he could MAKE me clothes as well. He said yes, but gave me his home phone & said he should come to my house if making garments from the ground-​up. He said it’d be more time-​efficient & I’d get a better deal [I’m paraphrasing]. Made sense, so I told him I’d give him a call when he finished the alterations.
So, I brought in more – & I mean MORE. Blouses, tops, skirts, dresses, pants, shorts, blazers, leather & coats. This was roughly ²⁄₃ of my wardrobe. [Yeah, seems like a lot – but thanks to the tailor, I have way less now]. I got there & had a slight communication problem – I don’t speak Spanish & the tailor doesn’t speak much English. Oddly, he didn’t take my measurements, but I tried on a pair of pants & a leather blazer, & he marked them. That seemed to be all he wanted to do [I guessed]. I asked him how long he needed. He said 2 days. [2 DAYS?] I gave him a week. I came back, but only a few of the items were ready. [Shocker.] No one had even called to let me know & I live 30 min away. [Rude much?]
I got home & tried on a leather blazer – what I felt was the most difficult item to tailor – & it fit like Lucy & Ethel. I sighed. A thrill ran thru me. I’D FOUND HIM – THE 2ND MOST IMPORTANT MAN IN MY LIFE… Then I tried on the pants. The sag at the back still sagged at the back.
Being the sweet, patient, nice gal that I am [wait, is my husbad (not a typo) reading this?], I brought back the items that needed re-​tailoring [is that a word? I know ‘that’ is a word, I meant re-​tailoring] to give him a 2^nd try. I thought praise might ease the sting & I strive to concentrate on the positive, so I mentioned the tailoring he did on my leather was beautiful work.
Next, I asked him to take my measurements & I tried EVERYTHING on for him to pin [I was there over 3 hrs]. Plus, I had the girl at the counter serve as an interpreter [not kidding], so I felt comfortable I’d get everything straightened out. [I told you, I concentrate on the positive.] This time he said he needed 3 days. [Either this guy is snorting Speed, spends too much time in Fantasyland, or has 8 more pairs of hands hidden under his shirt.] I told him to take his time.
Finally got the re-​boots, & staggered into my bedroom with my 78 items. [I counted. My Antique Eastlake Bed had so many piles of clothes on it, it thought it was in a new version of «The Princess & the Pea.”] I tried on garment after garment. My clothes looked like the wardrobe from a sci-​fi flick – a bad one. Rabid! I wanted to up-​chuck my just eaten In-‘n’-Out burger & fries. [That’d be another crime.]
What a mixed-​up bag! [Not ME, the quality of the work.] Leather skirt: A. Blouses: F. Shorten sleeves on jacket: A. Skirts: a hideous freakish nightmare: F-​! It was like I’d found the Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hide [not a typo – he should hide – in shame] of the tailoring world. Dr. Jekyll apparently alters leather like a sew-​happy biker, but Mr. Hide isn’t even a tailor – he’s a MONSTER!
I paid over $ 500 for tailoring on clothes I’d either have to pay someone else to fix [if fixable] or toss. I asked for a partial refund & was told, «The tailor will make it right.» They asked me to give him another chance. [If he couldn’t get it right the 1^st or 2^nd time… a 3^rd?] Again, I asked for a partial refund: Mexican Tailor said NO. He asked for a 3^rd shot: Full-​Blooded Italian Me said NO. Him NO. Me NO. Him NO. Me NO. [It was a Half-​Mexican Stand-​off.] [And I’m not a bigot. I love Brown White Black Yellow Red & even Blue [Smurfs].
I noticed I’d been charged twice for 2 items. I asked for a refund on those & would just forget the entire horrendous experience [I didn’t even tell all – Unilocal has a word limit]. Then they got nasty! The counter girl accused me of trying to cheat them by having the tailor do work for me on the side at my house! Say WHAT? It was the classic, «We’re guilty, so we’ll try to make YOU look like the criminal» scenario. [It’s criminal!]
In the end, the items I could wear: 3 pants, a leather blazer & skirt, & 2 jackets. I never got a cent back. I tossed most of the clothes [some brand new; some irreplaceable vintage pieces. Rabid!]
My sage advice: if you want inconsistent, unreliable, schizophrenic tailoring, go to Sam’s.

I dropped off a dress for cleaning three days before I needed it! It was silk so had to be dry cleaned. The lady in the morning told me to come the following day after 4 and it would be ready! I came at 4:30 after work and he rang me up (big mistake make sure to ask for your items before you pay). Then she went to get it and said oh sorry it’s not here! I was extremely upset so say the least! So she started to call someone for help, luckily the other girl asked what it looked like and started looking around!
She found the dress and luckily it was cleaned but not pressed! So they gave me a couple bucks back and I took my dress and left!
I will give them the benefit of the doubt and probably go again, but I will make sure I’m not in a rush to get the stuff and not pay until I see my stuff!

This is where we take all of our clothes that need dry cleaning. We have never had any problems with them. Their prices are competitive — especially if you use the 50% coupon that comes in the monthly mailer. I still haven’t figured out what their regular prices are because they always advertise some sort of % off. I think they are using it as some sort of advertising gimmick to catch your eye. Regardless, if I take my clothes anywhere else, I’ll be paying the same price, if not more.
I have not had any problems with customer service and have never had any issues with my clothes. Trust me, all it takes is one error and I can easily find another dry cleaner — fortunately, I have not had to do this.
One thing to keep in mind is that dry cleaners are not miracle workers, sometimes there are stains that just won’t come out and there are some items that should not be dry cleaned or laundered.
