The Dog House Saloon

I probably won’t be going here again. The service varies wildly depending on who’s working. One of the bartenders is really good, the rest are awful. Even when it’s not busy I usually have to sit at the bar for ages before they acknowledge that I’m even there. And good luck getting a second drink.
Also, the last time I dropped in for a quick drink in the early evening, I decided to put a song on on their jukebox, as no music was playing. There were only a couple customers and a couple employees present. After I paid to play one song (a pretty mellow song too) one of the employees began loudly complaining that someone would put on music and made the bartender go turn the volume down. Correct me if I’m wrong, but why have a jukebox if you’re going to be mad when customers put money in it? So after that, I sat at the bar with an empty glass for almost ten minutes while the staff hung out at the other end of the bar ignoring me.
Sadly this is one of the few places to go in Tehachapi on a Friday night, so they can pretty much behave however they want and offer terrible service. I guess it’s easy to be a popular bar when you have no competition.

This is a local bar with a big heart! They serve drinks that are legitimate, no short shotting of drinks and no overcharging for drinks you did not have. They are honest! They have three pool tables that are well kept up and level. Out back is a large outdoor patio that has a big fire ring and a campfire going, informal but clean concrete floor under the stars great time.
List goes on, go see for yourself.

First time here for Mt. Festival, Wow. What a great experience !!! Outside there is a Rock stage. Dance floor, beer bars, covered tables, fire pits, taco stand. Inside, there are pool tables, dance floor, Dj and the longest bar I’ve ever seen. Great atmosphere. Truly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Would recommend this to anyone in town.

Passing though and pulled over to wet whistle, WOW is all I can say! Happened to be The Dog House Saloon’s 4^th Annual Anniversary and it was Amazing Great Customer Service great deals on Drinks, Beautiful friendly Bartenders. I just couldn’t leave. So yes I stayed the night and fell in love with little Town of Tehachapi.

Such a fun place to have a drink and dance! We will definitely be returning to this great place. Relaxed atmosphere and fair prices. Wonderful addition to Tehachapi!

I will NEVER go to this bar again. I’ve been here twice and both times the bar tenders were extremely rude! They keep records of receipts and tabs on post it’s!!! When we asked for an actual receipt printed from the POS system we were told to leave and never come back followed by unnecessary foul comments from the staff and owner. I really doubt a couple cocktails and three beers is $ 100 plus. The owner Cliff is extremely unprofessional and doesn’t serve customers based on politics, sexuality and races he doesn’t like. I understand wanted to have policies on behavior in a bar but to be homophobic, sexist and racist are three strikes in my book. Disgusting customer service and ownership tactics if you ask me. Move into the 21^st century Dog House.

Passing through T town on a Friday night with some time to kill. Happened into this lil watering hole with a cool cigar and MC apparel store attached to it. Not to crowed with a cool Dj playing some good ol tunes. Had a couple of strong drinks and some good convo with friendly locals. 2 super cool lady’s tending bar. Nice outdoor patio, 2 pool tables and dart boards. What else do you want when your the new kid in town.

Best place in town to feel safe meet new friend relax and enjoy a great atmosphere. Cliff is a great host and owner. All the bartenders are friendly and beautiful.

I was at the Dog House when president Obama was elected and the owner Cliff ordered all customers who voted for Obama out.
Another time I was there and he refused to serve a group of customers who were homosexual.
Because of this I will Never return to the Dog House Saloon, ever.

Definitely my favourite bar in town. The bar tenders are always nice, personable and prompt with service. Almost always busy on the weekends, but not in a bad way. Prices are decent, and if you buy a sweater from them you get discounts on Tuesdays which pay for themselves in the long run.

This place was surprisingly the shit, for lack of a better term. We drove by our first night there and made a decision not to go in because we didn’t think the people that were there would be kind to us «big city» folk but we decided to give them a chance the following night and had a blast. Plus, they have awesome and CLEAN bathrooms which literally makes any place great to me.

Great place to grab a drink. Nice to go into a place and just grab a drink from some great bartenders while listening to some good music from the DJ. Definitely the best bar in Tehachapi.

fun place, the music really sucks though, I went there last night and they had a mobile DJ person there, and all I heard all night long was country music. I realize we’re out in the boonies here, but really? Country music? Other than that, the bartender was really cool she’s a total sweetheart.

Cold beer, nice bartender, ok music. Not bad at all.
