Being a Mom and Pop establishment i would expect warmer greeting and service, that is not what I got. On top of that they were out of the first two things I tried to order. What I was able to get was terrible(French toast) and over priced. Word of advice, if you do decide to give this place a shot, DONOT order coffee at this establishment…

A small local place with lots of Jesus and God Bless America décor. I have nothing against either of those things… just don’t want to have dinner with ‘em. It was a Friday evening and I was craving brinner(you know, breakfast for dinner), so girlfriend recommended this place. They have something like 101 omelettes but I’d recommend perfecting just ONE before branching out. My mushroom, avocado and cheese omelette was less than enchanting… not up to the standard of say an iHop and not even CLOSE to the Waffle House. The potatoes on the side(home fries?) were pretty much inedible. Her hash browns looked better so that clearly is the way to go… if you must. Food choices are pretty limited in this tiny town but this is one you could safely pass up. Jesus won’t mind.

Food is ok. Tables are always sticky because they’re not wiped down properly. Staff is sometimes friendly sometimes not, guess it just depends on the weather lol

The omelets are very good, big, and imaginative, too! Mine had jalapeño, bacon, mushrooms, and cream cheese. The sausage gravy was very good. I got cottage cheese to keep the carbs down. The iced tea was good too, and the to go cup they gave me was large. We will be back! You may need your GPS to find the place.

This was our first time trying Kelly’s we got sat at a table got our iced tea and then watched two other tables get their orders taken that arrived after us. We waited, waited, waited… When we noticed the other two tables getting their food we got up and paid for our iced tea and left. You only get one chance to make a good first impression. We are now sitting at Henry’s across town. The service and food are always good here.

We have had rides up here with the HOG chapter for the last couple years and each time they have treated us great. They have over 100 different omelets and if you want something not on the menu just ask and if they can they will make it for you. We have had rather large groups on some of our visits and they have never had a problem accommodating us. The omelets are very large and come with your choice of hash browns or country fried potatoes or you can get sliced tomatoes. This is a bit off of the main drag in Tehachapi but worth the short drive up there to it.

Small old country type of place, pretty dated décor, really needs a good deep cleaning and less clutter. Waitress was pretty blah like she’s worked there forever and is tired of being there. I had a bacon cheese burger, sweet potato fries and a iced tea. I have to admit it was pretty good, I was glad it wasn’t a pre-made frozen patty, hand made an cooked just right, sweet potato fries were good and the iced tea was good. Would I come back? Probably not.

Fantastic breakfast… omelettes of course. Biscuits and gravy, bacon, pancakes, all of the basics. Most of the rest of the menu is excellent as well. Fish & Chips on Friday. Good burgers, chicken fried steak and typical diner staples.

Greatest hamburger in Tehachapi !!! And breakfast is the same. Their steaks are good and the best price any where

The restaurant is very tiny but felt just like home! To keep it short and simple, food dishes were HUGE and more than I can finish. Full off of less than half a plate. Very cheap food. The store hours are very odd.

The place is alright. It serves typical diner food with relatively large portions. The décor is quaint and slightly musty. I would compare it to Denny’s. Try their biscuits and gravy, which seems to be their specialty.

I love coming here for the Chicken Fried Steak. It is huge!!! Plus you get 3 eggs, your choice of potato and your choice of toast or biscuits n’ gravy. I always seem to come here when Rosa and the gentlemen in the black cowboy hat is there. His name slips my mind at the moment. They are very friendly and always pleasant to talk to. They also have a TON of omelets, if you don’t see one you want, they will make what you want. There are also lots of other items to pick from. I always tell myself I’m going to try something new but just can’t get over that Chicken Fried Steak. Not a fan of the Biscuits n’ Gravy buy Hey I guess that is my down fall since I enjoy the truck stop Biscuits n’ Gravy(comes in the can). I totally recommend this place to everyone!!!

We have had breakfast here a few times and the food was below average. Twice the meal came back to haunt me latter in the day. One time as I was paying the tab, a customer came in to pick up an order to go, wearing no shoes and had dirty feet and was allowed to pick up his order. I brought it up to the cashier and she seemed disinterested. The eggs were over cooked and the home fries were dried out and unappetizing. The restaurant could use a major cleaning.

The family(husband and 2 bonus kids) went here for breakfast after reading the reviews on here. The kids had been here before and said they liked it. The food was just… okay. I had a mushroom, cheese and avocado omelet that was huge, I will give them that. It was the best omelet I have ever had though. My bonus daughter had the French Toast which got a resounding«Eh.». Hubs got the Sausage and Gravy and it was super bland so much so that he barely ate it and that’s saying a lot. Bonus son got pancakes that got a resounding«Good.». The service was decent, the atmosphere was average for a little down home breakfast place and the coffee was okay. The prices were fairly high — spending $ 50 on breakfast is a bit much in my opinion. Nothing really stuck out for me as a wow. It was a «eh».

food is great but the ambience is alittle stuffy, outdated and dusty. they have a huge selection of omelets and nice charred pancakes.

Easily the best breakfast in town. Some other places may have a specific item I like better but overall the quality of this place is top notch. Great selection of omelets, the best country fired steak, and although this may sound like a simple thing, I just love their sausage links. This is my go to place for breakfast.

My parents frequent this restaurant. They love it, especially the nightly specials. It’s pretty good in my opinion, but not fantastic. It’s more like country home cooking flavors. I’ve had the chicken fried steak, it was awesome… and I had the pork chops dinner which I wasn’t impressed with the pork, it was the cheaper cut chops, but the sides were good. Service is hit and miss. One night we waited over an hour for food, but normally it’s reasonable… but getting refills, etc is a challenge. I thnk they should hire another waiter for the evening shift and all would be good :)

Kelley’s is a greasy spoon that really isn’t that greasy — just delicious. It’s a little hard to find, we sort of bungled into it. We were looking for lunch and wanted to avoid downtown because the Hot Dog Festival was on. Pork verde omelette — great stuff! My husband had a simple bowl of chili. You can tell it’s made on the premises and it is delicious. Iced tea was great. Service folks were very attentive. We will be going back.
