Specialties

Whether you are looking for an encouraging, supportive and inspiring place to have your child begin their journey in the martial arts, or a place for you to begin or continue your own, we invite you to visit us. We have been serving the metropolitan community since 1987.

We offer classes in Traditional Martial Arts, Krav Maga Self-​Defense & Fitness and Fitness Kickboxing. We offer separate classes for ages 4 – 5, 6 – 8, 9 – 11, teens and adults. Classes are broken up into 3 different levels using our 3 classrooms.

All of our staff are black belt certified and have a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience. Our chief instructor has over 40 years of teaching experience and is on the mat every day teaching and still training.

History

Established in 1987.

We have been located in Teaneck, NJ, drawing students from the metropolitan area since first opening in April, 1987.

Awesome place to work out and learn new skills. Everyone – staff and fellow students – are friendly, encouraging, and fun. I take Krav Maga and the classes are the highlight of my day. Great exercise, but also a huge boost to my self-​confidence in my ability to defend myself using skills and techniques, not just strength. Highly recommend Chon-​Ji Academy.

Dedicated instructors and only dedicated students progress. If you put in 100% effort, the instructors will give you 100% motivation to keep getting better. Tae Kwon Do, Gracie Jiu-​Jitsu, and Krav Maga. A class for what you want to learn or take them all like I do and be fully rounded in several forms of combat.
