Aikido North Jersey is a full-​time traditional dojo. We teach Aikikai style Aikido, a Japanese self-​defense art that is non-​violent yet amazingly effective.

Men, women and children of all sizes and abilities are invited to join us and discover the art that develops your body, your mind, and your spirit.

We have appropriate programs for all age groups, beginning from the age of four. Everyone in your family will benefit from our healthy, exciting and enjoyable training.

History

Established in 1997.

Aikido North Jersey was founded in 1997 and began operating in Englewood, NJ. The school moved in 2006 to much larger quarters at our present location in Teaneck, NJ.

Business Owner

Jerry Zimmerman is the Head Instructor and owner of Aikido North Jersey. Zimmerman Sensei has over 28 years of training and teaching experience and his rank is Godan, Fifth Degree Black Belt. He is a Shidoin, Senior Instructor and Examiner, certified by the International Aikido Federation and the United States Aikido Federation.
