The luxury treatment begins when you meet us at the drop-​off point. Simply arrive at our new location and come to the covered check-​in point. Our staff members will meet you and load your luggage. As you ride away in our shuttle, an insured staff driver will move your vehicle to our covered and secure parking facility.

Travelers are whisked away to the specific terminal for their flight. Valet Connections will handle your luggage complimentary and drop you off for your journey. Upon your return, Valet Connections will pick you up at your terminal, and bring you back to your vehicle 24 hours daily. You will arrive at our facility to find your vehicle running and ready for pickup.

Valet Connections started operating in January 2011 at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW). Located within close proximity of The Detroit Airport, our customers are transported via the free shuttle service to and from the airport terminals.

I’ve used this service multiple times and am a member of their loyalty program. The last time I used the service, I returned home and noticed a huge crack and large scratches on my front bumper. I called immediately only to be told to call back in 6 days. I understand things happen, but not dealing with a loyal customer even after 10 days is unacceptable. I will NEVER use this service again.

Pros. Competitive price, shaded building where you drop off and pick up your car, even has cart like an upscale hotel.

I’m upset that this place has such a low rating! I’ve been using them the last 3 years and they have been nothing but stellar. I would caution you if you read other reviews after this that some of those people have unrealistic expectations when it come to airport parking. If you read the fine print at booking time you’ll understand the terms and services they provide. A couple of these clowns are complaining that their cars aren’t always parked indoors, well duh it says it right at the bottom when you make your reservations!
The staff is friendly and you never seem to wait very long which helps make the travel experience less stressful. The bus is quick and drops you off at the terminal and is easy to find during pick up at the end of your trip.
My car has always returned in good condition (sometimes a little dusty but nothing a quick spray of a hose can’t fix) and is parked in their indoor facility for me to step right off the bus and hop in.

NO. STARS!
Do NOT use Valet Connections unless you don’t care about finding scratches on your vehicle that were not there when you brought your car in. The form you sign when you check in releases them from being responsible for any damage that may occur while your car is parked there. Also, after I returned from my trip and called them to pick me up, it took 30 minutes to reach them and 45 minutes altogether until they showed up. I also don’t like leaving my keys with an airport parking lot. Maybe someone took it for a drive and that’s how the scratches happened.

Disappointed. My car, less than 2 months old, was left outside. Covered in leaves and filthy. It was clear that they moved it in right before we were delivered to the parking garage because the lights were still on.

I don’t know why this place gets so many awful reviews. My experience was straight-​forward, easy, and good. Found a coupon and paid online, brought the receipt to the counter, gave them the keys, and got shuttled to the airport. Then, when I got back, I called for a shuttle, it came within 10 mins, got my car, and drove home. No damage to the vehicle, no overcharges, nothing. Just cheap, easy parking for my car. Give it a shot!

I’ve used Valet Connections on 2 separate occasions when going out of town for more than a week.
The price is better than the closer airport parking lots, and there is dropoff/​pickup area is indoors, so nice in the winter to get your luggage and onto a shuttle protected from the cold/​snow. Because of the distance, add on extra time (15 – 20 minutes) to get to the airport so that you’re not having to rush to catch your flight.
The biggest negative is the shuttle back to the lot. You call a number on the ticket after picking up your baggage and they will send a shuttle towards your terminal. However, even though I arrived at 2:00 am and called before getting to baggage claim, I still had to wait another 20 minutes. The shuttles are also taking people to various other hotels in the area (another couple was going to the quality inn), so even on the way back you may have to make a few stops before getting to Valet Connections.

Valet Connections rocks! In addition to inexpensive rates and reliable shuttle service, VC’s customer service is fantastic. I inadvertently left my brief case in their lobby on Thursday night, something I discovered upon arrival at my Lansing home (2 hours away). My mother came in last night, with a 45 minute window between the time her plane landed and the time her bus left. Kyla worked with me – calling me several times, thinking through options, assuring me that I would be reunited with my brief case eventually – and a shuttle driver was able to hand off my bag to my mom in time for her to make her bus. Saved me a lot of time! Fantastic customer service and all around great company.

Cheap, but be aware, you will wait to get picked up and dropped off. Def not the place for you if you like quick service. They only run 2 – 3 vans and it causes some big delays. This is probably how they keep their costs down, which allows for the cheaper parking prices.

First I love the new facilities & they have made great improvements to the shuttle service (frequency which was my biggest complaint) while keeping costs in line with previous expectations. My only only remaining criticism is the website. Beyond that it’s my favorite way to travel to the airport.

I have to wonder about people complaining about their vehicles being parked outside? Listen up! Cars are made to be outside. This does not hurt them.
The whole concept of inside drop off and pick up was what appealed to us. Unfortunately the early February morning we dropped off, the garage door was frozen shut! Not their fault and they assured us our car would be inside and warm when we returned. It was. We got out of the shuttle, loaded our luggage into our vehicle, put our coats back on ;-(and easily got on the highway for the last leg of our journey home.
The price was right.
The service (with the unavoidable frozen door situation) was as promised.
As far as my car being outside… who cares? I was in a warm climate! ;-)

I regularly use Valet Connections parking when I travel. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. They have an indoor waiting room with comfortable furniture while you are waiting for the shuttle. When I get back in town, my vehicle is always there in the indoor pick up lot so it is relatively warm and dry, even in the winter.
The only negative that I have encountered is that the wait times for a shuttle to or from the airport are a bit longer than the other off-​airport parking lots. The wait times usually average around 10 minutes. Sometimes the shuttle is there and waiting for you and sometimes you have to wait as much as 20 minutes. I have never had to wait more than 20 minutes. The way I look at it is that I am saving $ 4 or $ 5 per day to wait a few extra minutes. Since I generally give myself plenty of extra time on the way to the airport, I have not found the few minutes of extra wait time be be an issue.

This location is nice and cheap, but there is some false advertisement as far as «covered» parking and «shuttle service every 30 mins» is concerned.
Last winter when I returned my car had snow at the top and another time it was wet because it was raining outside, so no there is no covered parking! Unless it was snowing and or raining indoors. Your car is parked inside and as soon as you leave they park it outside till you return. The management should say that on their website (it’s okay, we understand) instead of flat out lying.
Also their shuttle services to the terminal is extremely slow! It’s not as advertised. Twice, I’ve had to wait almost 1.5 hours at night, just waiting for the shuttle. My flight arrived at 12 midnight, I called at 12:30am and the shuttle showed up at 2 am! And both times they were full of excuses.
So, I guess for $ 5.99 you get what you pay for. The other parking locations may cost more but their shuttle service is more reliable and you know your car is being parked outside, because you parked it there yourself. Buyer beware!

I feel bad for giving a 1 star rating because so many things were great. But… that last bite is what you go home with.
Last Thursday I noticed there was a groupon for parking, it stated you could buy two days for $ 6 or four days for $ 12. I called to verify how to purchase as I was only seeing the 2days for $ 6, but you could buy multiples. The lady working was so friendly and helpful, she said it wasn’t a big deal, just order two 2days to equal four days.
Arrived and had an easy check-​in, shuttle driver to airport was friendly, professional and prompt. Came back today, we were picked up by another really great shuttle driver. We were so impressed with the whole set up, we travel throughout the year and it would be great to not use a cab or find a friend each time. Well… we are back to square one.
As I went to pay, I pulled up my groupons only to be hollered at by the male desk clerk! I tried to explain and tell him the arrangements made earlier this week, he refused to hear it. Throwing up his hands and not making eye contact with me.
Truth be told, it was a difference of $ 6. I can afford $ 6…but this is just not a way to do business. What would happen if I used them for one of my longer trips?! $ 60, $ 100 rip off… And who yells at anyone?!
Very disappointing, for what could have been a great opportunity for three more trips this year. I hope their team gives him more training, he is bringing down the rest of the business.

My mom told me about Valet Connections and was very excited about it, so I’d planned to use it when I went out of town. Then, I read the reviews here and started having second thoughts. But, the cheapskate in me took over and I did use them.
They are a little off the beaten path, so I felt like I was far away from the airport when I got there. But, it was really only a couple miles away. It seemed like a while until the shuttle picked us up, but I’m generally nervous about timing when I travel, so it really was only 5 or 10 minutes until they came.
I will say that they are very accommodating: one of the passengers only had a few minutes until his plane left, so they dropped him off first. Unfortunately, his was the furthest terminal, so we had to drive around the airport again to get to our terminals.
They were fairly prompt to come upon my return to Detroit, although the first van I saw said he was going in the opposite direction. Hmm. I didn’t care for the fact that the driver was talking to someone else on their system & didn’t seem to be aware that people could hear them; while I certainly understand not wanting to work late and so forth, it doesn’t fill customers with confidence to hear that the people in charge of their commute are unhappy.
I also don’t think my car was actually parked inside the whole time; while it was snowing when I got there and my car was dirty, by the time I picked it up, it looked much dirtier. I think they leave cars outside until the day of your arrival.
Regarding amenities, while the place was certainly clean, nothing was available. I arrived back in Detroit after midnight and really could have used a cup of coffee for the drive home, but the coffee station was all cleaned up and nothing was available. I also went to use the restroom, but there was no toilet paper in any of the stalls.
Still, for $ 5.99/day, it is definitely worth it, and I would use them again.

A great idea in theory, lower price than any of the other airport parking lots, and friendly employees. BUT, bring your patience and don’t come here if you’re running late. When we arrived it took a few minutes to check in and then we had to wait for a shuttle. The whole process took about 15 minutes before we were on the road to the airport.
Our return was also slow. I called them while waiting for luggage at baggage claim. When we arrived back at their place, my vehicle was still outside. There was some confusion at the desk when I tried to pay. The driver took our claim ticket and never gave it to the guy at the counter. And then no one could find it. Eventually he gave in and looked me up in the computer. I paid, then waited. And waited some more. Finally my car was on its way towards us and then… it drove away. WTH?! They were pulling it in to the car wash bay to spray it off. I don’t mean to sound ungrateful but after traveling all day and waiting what seemed like forever for my vehicle, I really did not need it washed. I just wanted to get on the road to go home.
Again, nice concept, low prices, and friendly employees. Just be patient or go somewhere else if time is of the essence.

If you have a beater car and don’t care what happens to it, then this place is for you. Otherwise, read on.
The ONLY reason I park here is because of the indoor parking, but there are a few major asterisks.
1. «Indoor parking is based on availability.» — V.C. staff.
2. «Your car is moved outside on the day before you return.» — V.C. staff. (I usually go somewhere Friday afternoon and return Sunday morning. This means that my car may never seen a roof over its head.)
3. The way some V.C. employees pull in and peel out of the parking lot in nice cars is a little concerning to say the least. I have 300hp RWD car. I’m sure they had fun with it in the snow.
4. When dropping the car off, you are basically signing a form that says V.C. is not responsible for anything that happens to your car.
5. Not worried yet? Read 4 then 3 again.
Today I returned before scheduled time because I took an earlier flight. When I got to V.C. lobby, I saw my car covered in snow and nice. I inquired and was told 1. and 2., see above. Inside my car, I saw my ice scraper, dripping with water and snow, sitting on my front seat (leather seat with suede inserts). The floor mats were soaked as well. The desk person then came to help — he took the scraper and started scraping the ice off of the car’s body. Not the window, but the body. Incompetence — defined.
I thought, floor mats — I can clean. Suede seats — I’ll find a way to restore them. Scraped paint — I’ll buff it out. Whatever, I took off in my car. Then I check my car’s computer and electronic monitors, and saw that everything has been reset or changed.
If you are inconsiderate and cover my seats with snow, it’s fine. If you are incompetent and use an ice scraper on the paint, it’s fine. But purposefully tampering with my car’s computer is another story.
Last but certainly not least — my front bumper/​lip looked like this when I got my car back. That’s not shoddy craftsmanship.
