Oren Asseraf went to college at the California State University of Chico. He was studying to work in the lab as a Microbiologist. He was able to pay for the school by working as an EMT. While going to school, he regularly came home to Los Angeles to help with his family business in the construction industry. Over time, he noticed a trend with the environmental hazards people were being exposed to during construction and development. The rest is history. Fast Forward 7 years, Oren created Home Biotesting. With the background of an EMT, Microbiologist, and the Construction Industry, Oren was able to create the perfect blend of environmental health services. From asbestos testing to mold inspection, home biotesting goal was to do it all. Today it stands as an environmental company ensuring the environmental safety of homeowners and construction sites.

This review is an easy 5 star. I live in tarzana and I wanted to remodel my home. I looked into doing it on my own but I was worried about the popcorn ceiling in my kids bedroom. I assumed it was probably asbestos since it is a very old home (1960 something), but my wife convinced me to double check it just in case. I did a quick search and found Home Biotesting. I figured if they are based in Tarzana I might as well give them a call. Oren answered the call and was very helpful on the phone. He came by the next day and tested my home for asbestos. He answered all the questions I had and even gave me a few laughs. Two days later I got the report and it turns out there wasn’t any asbestos at all. Saved me a ton of money. I could imagine that I would get that answer no matter who I called but I’m giving home biotesting and Oren a 5 star because of his promptness. He was very friendly throughout the whole procedure and even helped us out long after the inspection. People like that deserve some credit.

What a great company. I searched for an asbestos testing company in Tarzana and found Oren. My dad needed to get his home inspected because of the popcorn ceiling in his home. All the mesothelioma commercials were getting to him.
Oren was helpful throughout the entire asbestos inspection. Not only was he quick but he was really informative. He answered all the questions me and my dad had for him and was chill about it.
We got the results back two days later. My favorite part about this company is that he was helpful even after the job was done. If There was a reason why this company deserves a 5 star review then it would have to be that extra mile of effort home bio testing gave us.
I also feel more informed about mesothelioma. After all those mesothelioma commercials airing during the football games I feel better having a better understanding of what it is. Random I know but it is the little things that count.

Highly Recommend these guys. I found Oren and his company on google after searching for an asbestos testing company in Los Angeles. I needed to test my house for asbestos to make sure I’m clear for some permits. Oren got the job done quickly, and we had our reports in only a few days. He was always available throughout the process and afterwards. I highly recommend Home Biotesting to anyone looking to efficiently deal with asbestos concerns in their home.

I’ve worked with Home Biotesting for several months now. I was recommended to them by a friend of mine, and I’ve been working with them ever since. I work with a lot of properties and run into environmental problems here and there. Oren from Home Biotesting is the main consultant I work with and he is wonderful. He is very knowledgeable on the subject and always prompt to respond. Great staff and great company.

These guys are great! My dad wanted to remodel our family house, but it was pretty old. The demolition contractors told us that we need an asbestos survey before they can start. They recommended Home Biotesting. We figured we needed multiple quotes but these guys were easily the best. It seemed like half the companies were lost when I said I needed this for a permit.
We called and said that we wanted an asbestos inspection for a demolition permit. We got a hold of Oren and he walked me through the whole process over the phone. Very friendly and sweet. He was able to schedule a time the very next day and got us the report a few days later. It was perfect because we needed that report for permit processing (obviously sooner the better) and Oren did the whole thing in a few days!
So thankful for finding this company with such a friendly staff.
