I do not write many reviews, because to be honest most places do not leave an impact on me good or bad. But I have been going to Dr. Regwan for almost 3 years now. I originally found them through a group on. Which i paid like 40 $ for and recived a eye exam as well as a certain dollar amount off of my glasses, everything was great. I then received insurance through my corporation and continued to use Dr. Regwan again also providing excellent service and top notch glasses. I left that company started working for myself and purchased another groupon. I went back and purchased a new pair of glasses. About 6 months down the line my glasses broke, I took them back and Dr. Regwan replaced them no problems, no issues, no questions. I was playing basketball in them a few months later (just plain stupid) they snapped in half. I took them back to Dr. Regwan and again he went above and beyond to make sure I was happy and well taken care of. Again I have been going there for years now and I do not have a single complaint. Very happy customer.

My fiancé and I bought groupons for eye exams at FY Eye. I found Dr. Sol to be very professional and knowledgable about the eye. He explained to me in detail what to look for in healthy eyes and gave me a clearer understanding of eye health. He explained every part of the eye exam and really made me feel comfortable in the chair. We had special circumstances and he accommodated us at every level, with a smile. There was a sense of family. We got glasses that we love and left happy! All in all ¹⁰⁄₁₀ experience for us.

Unfortunately the owner or manager of this business has resorted to fabricating lies as a response to a well deserved negative review I gave them last week! This is not surprising considering the bases of this business is built on misleading customers to begin with. They claim I was looking for a freebie or even a credit back for using a living social Voucher!!! Wow, the nerve to make up lies like this. Not surprising from a person with no morale. The facts remain the same. The Living Social and Groupon vouchers for this business are gimmicks and traps. The customer will end up paying considerably more for prescription glasses than going to a place with no vouchers at all. This is exactly what happened to us. We got high quality bifocal lenses for about half the price this business wanted to charge us WITH A VOUCHER!!! On top of that they were rude to us and now they can’t take it when I am calling them on it! Sir stop fabricating lies and stop ripping off people like that. Oh, and yes contrary to your fabricated lies we did have a living social voucher but requested and received a full refund. This is what everyone else can do as I explained in my first review. You are a fraud and a liar with no morale and I will keep exposing you to people as it should be. Wish all «bad seeds» as you claim could expose frauds like yourself as I am doing here. Have you ever heard of the expression «too good to be true» or «you get what you pay for»?
I bought a pair of designer sunglasses for about half the price of how much Sunglass Hut sells them. Thinking I got a great deal, I left the store happy.
Unbeknownst to me at the time, I was ripped off because my sunglasses turned out to be fakes! Yes fakes! I never would think in a million years that a licensed optometrist would be selling fake sunglasses. There goes my hard earned money down the drain. So disappointing. Screw this place. I am never going back. Shame on you.
Also, take a good look at the filtered reviews and you will see many fake 5 star reviews that were filtered. Pay attention to the date they were posted along with the Unilocalers’ limited history. Again, shame on you Sol (he doesn’t deserve to be called Doctor).

Not very convenient, the hours on the Groupon, their voicemail, answering service and website are all different, I get the feeling they open and close whenever they want each day. Nice staff. Exam seemed solid. Not really a better deal than all the other places, seemed like it at first, but not in the end.

So rude and unprofessional with their dealings with customer. All I needed was my prescription faxed, however from receptionist to Dr don’t know the proceeder, yer try to sell you their products!!! I got yelled it and telling me I am the manager and the doctor, yet hangs up the phone. Do it right from the beginning instead wasting people’s time. Consumer go after service not the price or not the products because they are everywhere!!! Save your money and go somewhere else!!!

Dr. Regwan is great. Very patient and well mannered. Solid selection of frames and decent prices. I wish the exam hours were a little better, but can’t win em all.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY HERE. RUDE AND LATE STAFF. WORST SERVICE EVER.
My Fiancé arrived at early at 10:20am to redeem his groupon. The signage said they would open at 10:30, the guy didn’t show up until 10:50. He was rude and told my fiancé to come back at 3pm citing that Karina, the woman in charge of handling the groupons, would be in at that time. I called to speak with the manager, the guy who answered the phone stated he was the manager, said he had car trouble and that’s why he was late. I told him Karina said my fiancé would be able to redeem the voucher and that after waiting 40 minutes he expected to do so. The man cut me off and said that it was only 20 minutes. He only got ruder from that point yelling at me over the phone and hanging up after i told him «not to fucking yell at me because I was a paying customer.»

One of the most lovely experiences I have ever had at an eye doctor! I have been wearing contacts and glasses most of my life and I have never had a doctor be as thoughtful and friendly and Dr. Regwan. He really took time with my appointment and even answered a bunch of questions I had about Lasik. Friendly staff and a very clean, organized shop. I am glad to finally find an Optometrist that I can stick with longer than one visit. Many thanks!

One of the best experience i had. My girlfriend and I came here accidentally cause one of the eyeglass shop nearby does not have an optometrist. When we got in we were greeted by the beautiful receptionist (i forgot her name but I’m sure it starts with one of the alphabet, optometrist fault he confused me. Lol). We signed in and before I sat on the chair she told me that the doctor is ready to see me. The doctor did a thorough eye exam, more detailed than the one I had in cedars sinai.
Yesterday I came in to pickup my eye glasses and again, I was greeted by the same receptionist but now there’s two of them. Very friendly and helpful. I was there about 5 minutes in and out and eyeglasses already adjusted but had to comeback today to readjust cause apparently my face is disfigured and uneven when I smile.
Overall I’m more than 100% satisfied with customer service and care. I highly recommend this place and would definitely come back.

This was a top-​notch experience, both the exam and the customer service for selecting new frames. Dr. Regwan conducted the most thorough and clearly explained eye exam I’ve ever received. Highly recommended.

Came here to fulfill a Groupon at 10:00am as their website, phone voicemail, and everywhere advises. Their window signage says 10:30am. Not until 10:50a does someone finally show up, but then says the staff isn’t there yet to provide any services. I advise them of their incorrect info online and by phone of business hours, he says, «it’s Saturday.» Tells us to go get a coffee and come back later. Abysmal. Disappointing. This business needs help.

I purchased a $ 50 groupon good for $ 250 off a pair of glasses and a eye exam. It worked out nice. The doctor made the experience enjoyable and didn’t pressure me to spend money on any extra services. The eye exam was quick and easy. The receptionist was also very nice and helpful and gave me honest advice on which frames matched me best. I’ll definitely be a returning customer/​patient.

I actually bought a groupon for $ 50 for an Eye Exam + $ 250 towards glasses. I made an appt for 3:30. Showed up at 3:05 only to discover a sign that said they were out to lunch till 3:15. So I decided to check my voicemail from the previous day only to discover I had a voice mail from the girl that works the front desk saying my appt was at 4 o’clock. I periodically get my appts wrong so that why I try to show up early just in case. Decided to grab a quick lunch across the street since I had such a long wait.
At 3:45 I get a call from the front desk girl saying my appt was at 3:30 and if I was coming in. I tried to explain that her voicemail said four o’clock so I had gotten confused and then she proceeded to ask me «well did you call to confirm?». I thought it was a touch rude considering but I explained I was across the street just finishing lunch and would only be five mins. She said they would still take me if I came right then.
I walked in and tried to play the voicemail for her as proof that I’m not a complete dolt but her only comment was «That’s weird I always look at the numbers correctly.». Honestly I make mistakes all the time and I was just glad they were still able to take me. (even though it wasn’t my fault lol)
She guided me through the paperwork and I was able to see Dr. Regwan immediately. I get very pressured by eye exams because I always feel like I’m failing a test. But Dr. Regwan was so polite and considerate taking me step by step. I’m also 7 months pregnant and he still took time to explain hormonal changes I would be feeling shortly that’s would change my vision and what to look for. I was had such a great experience with the doctor I would gladly come again.
Afterwards the front desk lady was very kind to take the time and help me pick out glasses catering to my need and style. We were able to pick a pair that I was pleasantly surprised fit my face just perfectly. She gave me a card and said to call back in two weeks to check to see if my glasses were in.
I kind of wish they did the calling back bc I am hopeless in remembering stuff but its no biggie. And the mix up with the timing didn’t prove to be that big of a deal even though it put them behind schedule. They still made me feel welcomed and as I said before I would gladly come back for another visit! The groupon was a great find as well go show me a family practice that I would have otherwise missed out on.

Dr regwan is a really good optometrist and I felt like he conducted a very thorough eye exam.
As much as I want to support his business, there are a few key things wrong with this office so beware before u buy any groupon/​yelp deals.
1. Their Unilocal/​groupon store credit appears to be a great deal for a pair of glasses. But they have such a limited collection and everything is overpriced. They are selling the designer frames (Prada, Burberry, etc) for more than what the manufacture has listed the msrp as. There are no clear price markings on any of the frames. You pick one u like and his secretary goes to the back to look it up in some arbitrary book and states you a price. The walls are suppose to be sectioned by the price but I saw customers moving frames around so I don’t know how they keep track of that. The pair of frames I picked out was over charged by $ 60 compared to msrp. And his generic frames are really cheap quality (yet still in the 200 $ range) and out of fashion.
2. The lenses are well priced but it takes TWO weeks to get your glasses back. That’s crazy. At other chain frame stores (sams, lens crafters) it’s. 48 hr or less turn around. When I got my glasses back, there was a deep scratch at the front of my frame from where they put in the lens. A $ 300+ pair of brand new frames now with a deep scratch…
3. They take ridiculous lunch hours. Their answering machine says they are out for lunch from 1pm to 3pm. That is a really really long time where you can’t call to ask about the status of ur glasses or to ask about ur contacts Etc. To make it worse, I have called around noon on two separate occasions only to be told by the old gentleman (who I believe is Dr regwans father) that the staff is out to lunch and to call back at 3 pm!!! It’s crazy how can u stay in business and take three hour lunches???

Very poor service came in on a Saturday as soon as I walked in I got a look from both the guy and the girl who works there like what are you doing here…
Asked if I could replace my frames was told very rudely no and showed the door they did not even try to help…
This seems like on of those were shocked to see a black man type of deals wake up people it’s 2015.

Dr. Regwan is a relaxed, easy-​going guy. His calm demeanor helped me feel calm during the exam (I’m a bit of a Dr. Phobe). The practice is super clean. The instruments were sterilized in front of me.
I got some sweet Prada reading glasses out of the deal, and they were made and delivered on time!
This is a legit operation! If you need an eye doc… this is the guy.

So here I am back after I got my glasses. I’m very picky about my look specially If going to pay $ 300 for glasses .
