I wanted to like this place more than I did. It’s a nice-looking place and the menu looked great, but all in all I was rather disappointed. The place was empty. I know it’s a holiday weekend, but a few other places on Broadway were filled. We were here because of the groupon and while I have enjoyed many of my groupon purchases, this one won’t be a repeat. We ordered a bottle of Riesling to go with dinner. For an appetizer we had beef tataki, which was artfully arranged, but not the tastiest. After reading a lot of mixed reviews about the sushi I decided to go with a hot dish and ordered the chicken tempura for dinner. It was good and they give you a lot of vegetables with a very decent amount of chicken, but they don’t bring enough sauce and the service was a bit off. For a place that was empty the service was very strange. They would come, practically bark at us, and then disappear. My date had chicken in sambal sauce, since it said it was spicy and he likes spicy. It wasn’t spicy in the least. At the end of dinner they pretty much just brought the check and we had to ask to get things wrapped. Food is ok, nothing to write home about. Prices are somewhat high but not out of line with other Asian offerings in the area. Still, I felt like something was missing and I doubt I’ll be back.

sushi thai turned out to be another one of those places I’m glad I tried despite the mixed reviews. went with the groupon, service was great, place was pretty empty when we went, and the food was delicious. try the oysters! fresh, delicious, and presented beautifully. sushi was also good, will be coming back for those oysters especially soon, and drinks were strong and delicious. the lettuce wraps were okay. overall good casual date night, thanks.

My wife and I enjoyed this place a few times even though a couple of those times something seemed off with the food prep. Sloppy, sushi didn’t hold together. Just a little loose around the edges. Well we both had a Boston roll for lunch, no other shared food and now we are expelling out of both ends. Won’t be coming back. Going to call them and hope they get on it.

First off, they have way too few people working at a given time. It took us a good five minutes to be acknowledged by someone and brought to a table. After we sat down, it took approximately 10 minutes for a waitress to come to our table to take our drink orders. The Thai curry soup had a good coconut punch and was loaded with eggplant, black mushrooms, and onions. My only gripe is that there was an excessive amount of onions. It literally looked like someone grabbed a handful of onions and tossed it into the soup bowl. Also, there were whole basil leaves in it. The chef could have at least chiffonaded or chopped it into smaller pieces. The hot and sour soup was good and had just the right amount of vinegar to contribute to the sourness. The shrimp gyoza were mediocre at best. They didn’t taste homemade and we were genuinely disappointed. However, the dipping sauce was nicely balanced. The kani salad was presented beautifully and delicious. There was a perfect amount of mayonnaise with the crabmeat, cucumber, and tobiko. We ordered the Chicken Udon Yaki and Shrimp Pad Thai. The udon was cooked to the right consistency. However, the chicken was overcooked and the vegetables lacked a crunch. The salt content could have been amped up. The Pad Thai was different, in that the sauce was redder than expected. The good thing is that there were plenty of shrimp in it! Thai cuisine is all about the balance of sweet, salty, bitter, and sour; I think all those flavors were accomplished in this dish. It was the best thing we ordered. When the check arrived, we saw a mandatory 18% gratuity. Seeing as the service lacked, we did not want to give $ 7.20 for a tip. The owner stated that it is a suggested tip and that our card would not be charged for that amount and we can instead put our own desired tip. Looking into our online banking, the«suggested» tip is how much we were charged. We will file a dispute against them if this is not fixed by tomorrow. It’s essentially theft.

My significant other and myself used Seamless to order a meal due to us working all day. We waited an hour to get our food(which is something I expected) but the driver was rude. He called me at 9:23pm and told me to hurry up and come downstairs. At 9:24(21 seconds later. Literally), he called again and asked how long would it take me to go downstairs. So I went down and gave him a piece of my mind without the need for being rude. After spending $ 50 on a meal and $ 7 on an almost mandatory tip, I’m $ 57 broker and my stomach was not satisfied, neither that of a man’s. I should have just cooked! We asked for pineapple fried rice and just got fried rice. We asked for teriyaki chicken and just got white meat with a brown sauce. We asked for general tso’s chicken and got sesame chicken. The broccoli was the best part. Oh how appetizing! If you want broccoli, this is the best place to go to. But beware, it shouldn’t cost you $ 57.

We’ve gotten delivery from here numerous times. The sushi is decent but it isn’t anything particularly special. Based on that alone it probably would be a 3.5. I’m giving it a 2 because every time we get delivery the bag smells so heavily of cigarette smoke and it is really off putting. Thankfully the food isn’t affected by this and my bf normally unpacks the food or I think I would have a hard time getting past the memory of the cigarette smoke while I ate. One time when we were eating at the restaurant it started smelling like smoke towards the end. We mentioned it to the waitress as we left and she didn’t seem too concerned, they probably don’t realize how off putting it is. She just explained they probably left a window or door open and the smell was coming in from outside. We mentioned it so that they were aware and might want to know it was affecting the overall experience. So we’ve tried but we are starting to look for alternatives in the area!

Definitely not authentic. It’s Asian food for Westchester. Mildly tasty, frozen, syrupy. Heavy upsell. Don’t buy it. You’ll regret it. I did.

Ordered the shrimp tempura roll and a couple of pieces of sushi. Taste was good but the food fell apart way too easily. A bit pricey in comparison to the quality. The Thai curry was good but different taste than one would expect. Pad Thai was probably the best dish but still didn’t meet expectations. Waitstaff seemed to be talking about us and looking over quite often and the meal was not pleasant.

I love thai food. This is not thai food – it’s chinese takeout in drag. Ordering Pad Thai and getting something that tasted like vegetable lo mein felt like finding out a cute girl had a penis. Gross.(no offense to the transgender community) Everyone please be aware that when a place is called«Sushi Thai» it is obviously a chinese knockoff of Sushi and Thai.

We were a party of eight at Sushi Thai restaurant and were greeted with friendly smiling staff, the place looked very clean(including the bathroom), décor was appropriate for«Asian Fusion», the table settings are very nice, and the napkins are cloth. While we had eight people ordering and asking for substitutions on some items and other special requests, I didn’t think that everything would come out as ordered, but it did and the servers knew exactly which person ordered which dinner, etc. Staff was extremely attentive and we ordered sushi as well as cooked entrees that included chicken and shrimp dishes. Some with white rice, some with brown. There were a lot of variations around our table and everyone agreed that the food tasted fresh and delicious. I will definitely go to this restaurant again.

The service was fast and super friendly. The menu had a great selection and the food was fresh and delicious! I had a party of 12 and they got everyone’s order correct and made us feel welcomed! Fantastic establishment to dine at!

Would have gotten 4 stars but our appetizer was disappointing. A $ 12 order of boneless ribs that served with sweet potatoes cubes were lacking in tenderness and quantity, to serve a portion that small it should be extraordinary. Our entrées on the other hand were very good as was my wife’s Blue Monday cocktail.

The food is good. The service sucks. That is not the reason for the eh, it’s just Meh– 2 star review. I really wish I could give it a 2+5 or something because… It is NOT the food it is the the service. It sucks. They just don’t seem to get that half the dining experience is done out on the floor. We go out to eat for food and service. If I just wanted food I would make it or get take out. The staff will sweep, they will argue, they will stare, linger too long, abandon you with out water for too long — all of it. They have even once started to shut off the lights on us. I have gone 3 – 4 times. I will go again. I just won’t give it my recommendation. My vote step up the service end of the deal here if you want to stick around. Or drop your prices. You can always be another take out place… And as always the interior is one of its perks. An inspiration for any home design showroom.

Went there last week with a group of friends. We ordered from the M-Th $ 19.95 four course prix fix menu, soup or salad, appetizer, entrée & desert. Tom Yum Goong was nice, not spicy enough for me, everyone liked their soups(2 Tom Yam’s, 2 Hot & Sour &1 Wonton). We also ordered the Eggplant Dumplings, stuffed with shrimp & scallops, very good but TOO sweet. Next appetizer course, Pork Dumplings, Vietnamese Salad, Chicken Lettuce Wraps, Seaweed Salad & spring rolls The Vietnamese Salad was way too sweet, otherwise everything was OK, the diced Chicken wraps were the best we all agreed. Entrée round, 2 Chicken Curries, Manchurian Beef, Sushi & Wok Basil Shrimp & Scallops. Manchurian Beef — wwwwaaaayyyy TOO sweet. Sushi was all rolls. Desert — Ice Cream, 2 deep fried green tea, 2 green tea &1 vanilla. The deep fried batter was too oily. We expected the portions to be smaller but they were not so at end of dinner there were doggie bags. It seems the kitchen is too heavy handed with the sugar

I’ve now been twice and both experiences were about the same. The interior is nice, comfortable and generally acceptable. Unfortunately the service both times has been poor and the quality of the food is subpar at best. Seems like they’re trying hard, but giving two stars is generous. More deserving of 1 star, but they seem nice.

Three stars because the sushi is good but the Thai bears little resemblance to Thai. Could it be the Japanese interpretation of Thai? Maybe, but that’s not what you have in mind when you order Thai food. In Thai restaurants in Japan do they leave the stringy, chewy pod skin on the peas? That is new to me. Nice ambience, not too noisy. Stick with the sushi.

The food was ok. It was tasty but overcooked. The place was clean. The service was acceptable. The noise level was intolerable. In an an uncrowded restaurant I thought I was in a boiler factory. The acoustics are terrible. On top of the loud conversation and smashing dishes, they had horrible, modern music, maybe the kind you would play at an science fiction movie funeral. In addition they had bright primary color lights flashing below the sushi bar. You could do experiments on sensory overload. I think the North Koreans did brainwashing using this technique.

I liked this place. The only reason why im not giving 5 starts is because i feel their thai menu is a little in the short side. I would love it if they had drunken man noodle, black noodles and just more dishes. The music was also a little annoying during dinner(i felt like i was in a night club) traditional thai or asian music would be more appropriate. The soups were DELICIOUS! Love the fact that they were spicy! I had the spider roll and spicy salmon without rice and both were great! Cant wait to go back and explore the menu. The staff very friendly and attentive.

Service is excellent, friendly and attentive. The food is very good and the avocado rolls are like silk! We are vegetarian and this place has many options. They happily make menu items with tofu in place of the animal. This will be our regular spot. Lovely atmosphere, full bar and clean. Very happy camper!!!
