History

Established in 2009.

im Chambers has been involved in all facets of the music business for 20 years. Jim’s career started in the mail room of Sky Records. Chambers worked in the mail room for 5 days before Amy Ray of the Indigo Girls (co-​owner of Sky/​Daemon) discovered he could actively speak «music biz.» Chambers worked with the regional bands Flat Duo Jets, Lava Love, Insane Jane, 58, Pylon, and the Swans.

In 1992 Sony/​BMG recruited Chambers as a product development executive for all SONY/BMG’s alternative roster. Jim worked with the musical acts Tool, Dave Mathews, Matthew Sweet, Outkast, Fishbone, TLC, Usher and many others. Chambers moved to New York City in early 1996 where he was recruited to serve as National Director of Sales for Hybrid Records working with artists Guster, Mike Errico, Art Garfunkel, and Morcheba.
