Great experience dealing with these folks! I bought my Fiancée’s engagement ring from here and she is in love with it. (She picked it out first which is the way to go) the price I paid was ½ to even ¹⁄₃ of the price some of my buddies paid. I had the ring appraised and the cost was well under the appraised value. I also purchased my wedding band for a great price with a LIFETIME warranty. They were very helpful but not pushy like some of the reps at the big name jewelry stores I visited. Bottom line: good people, good prices, good service and supporting local business.

I recently purchased an estate platinum and diamond eternity band online from Gesner Jewelers.
The experience was great! They were extremely helpful with all of the questions I had and I even ask if they could send me pictures of the band on someone’s finger and they promptly sent those pictures over via text.
I was very hesitant about buying something like jewelry online but they made the buying process wonderful.
I did not need the ring sized so the turn around was within 24 hours! I couldn’t believe that it arrived so soon.
I did really appreciate that that have a way to make an offer on their website and I got an excellent deal on the ring I got.
I did take it to be appraised and I was told that the caret count was not correct even using their own appraised stone size and count. I was told on their website that it was .86 and the highest my appraiser could calculate was .76 carets.
He did calculate the retail value of the ring using his measurements (.76) and I still got a great deal even with the .10 Caret discrepancy.
I would and probably will buy from them again.

I recently purchased an engagement ring here. A beautiful antique ring, Edwardian era. My girlfriend absolutely loved it and the workers at the store were very friendly before the purchase, including the owner Frank. The 1 star comes from the customer service after the purchase. I was already leery about buying from a small jewelry shop especially because we’re moving out of state soon but went ahead with the purchase because of how much she loved it. In fact, she’s obsessed with it! So if you’re buying for a female who is very particular about her jewelry, you should be very cautious buying from this store. Here’s why: After the purchase she found a very tiny defect in the ring where it looked like something was polished off. (Sometimes you don’t really notice the small things until you have the ring on for a few days) The defect wasn’t minute because I even noticed it when it was brought to my attention. She took the ring in and after explaining it, the owner put on a crooked smile and gave her a look like she was crazy. He then took the ring to the back of the store and told the guy who works on the jewelry. They both looked up and chuckled at my fiancé. Very disrespectful. They did fix the defect but the solder they used ended up being a completely different color. So when my fiancé went to pick up the ring, the defect stood out even more now with a yellow-​gold like mark on this platinum ring. The store clerk gave her a funny look and said that’s just how the solder looks. Eventually they finally gave in and coated it with something to blend in with the platinum. A couple weeks went by, and we noticed that one of the diamonds was loose. You could literally shake the ring and hear one of the diamonds rattle. She took it in and Frank denied that anything was loose. Told her there was nothing they could do because she was hearing things and he made her feel crazy. She came home in tears really questioning if she was hearing things. This pissed me off. The next week guess what? The one diamond that was loose fell out and the diamond was lost. We called Gesner and they said that none of the diamonds were loose and we must have dropped the ring or something.
Needless to say, we went to another jeweler who far exceeds in customer service (most do). The ring is fixed and they even reinforced all the other diamonds.
Now Gesner does have some beautiful rings/​jewelry. I can’t deny that. And they will probably drop the same lines they did on us as you look at the rings «honestly, I think the ring you have in your hand is the most beautiful in our store and it won’t be in here long!» (I’m sure most jewelry stores throw this lame line out) but the difference is in the customer service after you buy. If a female is obsessed with the engagement ring (as they should be) and they find something wrong with it after staring at it for a few days, the same jewelry shop should not look at her like she’s crazy and brush her off just because the purchase was already made. They should own up to the defect and fix it the right way. I will never buy from Gesner again and recommend anyone who is particular about the details in their jewelry look elsewhere.

I ordered a ring and it seemed like it was going to be a smooth transaction. At the last minute before purchasing the owner decided he wanted to charge $ 500 more because his previous quote was 6 weeks prior and thought now the ring was more valuable. This should have been my first indication that something was wrong, but I loved the look of the ring. Shipping was quick and upon receiving I brought the item to a local jeweler to insure the ring was what I was told. The jeweler not only told me that he thought the item was over priced but that there was damage to the prongs and they would have to be rebuilt to hold a stone. When I asked Gesner about why the ring had not been fixed previously before sending to me he just stated that there was nothing wrong with the ring and that my jeweler has no idea what they’re talking about (my local jeweler handles estate jewelry so they do know what they’re talking about)
Upon pressing further they said they would fix it when I sent the ring back and that my jeweler should have told me damage happens when you remove a stone. (so we went from absolutely no way there is any damage to yes of course there is).The whole situation was very unpleasant and felt unprofessional as I felt I was being attacked for asking questions. The matter of the situation is that the ring should have been in good standing condition when I received it and not need more work knowing that I wanted to place my own stone in it (especially because I paid the extra $ 500).
I would have used this place to do a custom wedding band but I just feel like the owner is trying to squeeze as much money out of me as possible so I won’t be doing that. I would just like to warn others and make sure you’re not getting taken advantage of as I was.

I ordered a ring online fron Gesners website. Due to me not being from the states, there were some issues with the paypal payment, and when I contacted Gesner they were very helpful. The actual item I bought was stunning, and the description of the item was accurate. I also got a nice gift box and a certificate. I very much recommend Gesner Estate Jewelry.

The customer service I’ve experienced working with Gesner has been unparalleled. I recently purchased an antique, Art Deco style engagement ring for my partner in January 2014. I was a little nervous about purchasing a ring online over the internet without seeing it in person so appreciated their reasonable return/​exchange policy. The piece arrived in the mail and was more beautiful than I could have imagined. I took advantage of the layaway option and Shanel and Frank were friendly, helpful, and a pleasure to work with.
Upon return from a recent overnight excursion, my partner noticed a small diamond missing from the band of her ring. She was devastated and worried about the repair process as she had no desire to ever take it off! I called Gesner immediately and spoke to Frank directly. His words were kind and his concern for our happiness, genuine. I had the ring sent overnight to Florida and within a day it was already repaired and on its way home. It was the most painless 48 hour process ever. We couldn’t be happier with our ring or their customer service. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Thank you kindly.

I purchased a beautiful Art Deco emerald engagement ring from Gesner in September 2013. I could not have been more delighted with the outstanding customer service provided. Communication and delivery was super fast. The ring was exactly as described. They are an extremely honest and trustworthy company. I recommend Gesner Jewelers wholeheartedly and without reservation.

I have never been spoken to by a business so rudely in my life. Beautiful jewelry, but some customer service training is in order.
My fiancé and I bought my engagement ring here and had a nice experience, so we also ordered his wedding band from Gesner. That’s when it went downhill. First, the ring that they ordered for us was too big. Someone at the store sized him, and at the time the plastic ring they used for sizing felt comfortable. When the actual ring came in, it was definitely too large so they re-​ordered a half size smaller. At the time I asked if a ¼ size smaller might be better, but they said a half size would be perfect based yet again on the plastic rings they used to size him. They called us a few days later to say that the new ring was in, but when we got to the store it took them 10 minutes to find it. When they finally found it, the ring was the exact same size as before, NOT the new smaller size. So, they apologized (without sincerity) and ordered what they said was the correct size to be sent to us since we live an hour away. Once the new ring was received, it was way too small.
I understand 100% that these things happen — you can’t always know until you try it. The problem I have is that when I called to see if we could get the ring in a ¼ size, the person I spoke to was so incredibly rude that it brought me to tears. He claimed it was our fault for not speaking up about the size, told me he couldn’t help me and hung up the phone abruptly after not even allowing me to speak. I was calling to ask about how to fix the problem, not to yell at someone. I don’t yell at people; I’m barely even capable of that. I have never in my life written a negative review online OR called to complain to a business. In this case, I wasn’t even calling them to complain — I was calling to ask a question! I called back and spoke to a woman who explained that the ring size we need couldn’t be made, which is fine with me. We will return it and get a ring elsewhere. I don’t understand why I was spoken to so rudely when I called and approached it in a nice tone.
Sure, the jewelry here is nice, but if you run into a problem with your jewelry, be warned that you might have to deal with someone who seems to have a big problem with projecting his own personal problems on customers.

I bought an antique wedding band from Gesner online for my fiancé. Their selection was excellent and presentation of the ring was very accurate. Gesner’s staff were extremely fast to answer my questions, both before buying and after, and the prices were more than competitive. Shipping was quick (and free) and customer service was top notch the entire time. Even free re-​sizing! Excellent experience, highly recommended, we will be back.

Wonderful jeweler. Months before I got engaged, I would go in to try on rings and get an idea of what I wanted. I always knew I wanted an antique ring, but that’s as far as I got. I’m sure every time I walked in they thought «oh here’s that girl again… I wonder if she’s making this boyfriend thing up!» When I found my ring, I actually went with another friend of mine who was also ring shopping. Valarie was so patient and helpful. I think my friend and I spent an hour and a half trying on rings and wedding bands. We both found what we wanted and Valarie put them on hold for 24 hours. My friend and I preceded to nag our boyfriends. Lets just say we both have very gorgeous sparkly rings on our fingers (well now she has 2 sparkly rings, both from Gesner and I get mine in February). When my fiancé purchased my wedding band, we realized that my engagement ring and the band were two different colors, Gesner dipped both rings in rhodium for free and they now look great together.

My husband bought my engagement ring from Gesner Estate Jewelry. The ring is stunning. At least once each day I receive a compliment on it. It is so beautiful and one of a kind. The customer service at Gesner is outstanding. They sized the ring down for us at no charge and you cannot even tell a change was made to it. We went back to the store just before our wedding to have it cleaned. They cleaned it and another piece of jewelry we didn’t even buy from them for free. They’re always very helpful and knowledgeable.
