As opposed to traditional moving companies, Elite Moving Labor provides licensed and insured movers without the truck, commonly referred to as ‘moving help’ or ‘moving labor’. Our movers are clean cut, friendly, polite, reliable and experienced in all methods of self service moving, including rental trucks, freight and mobile storage. We work closely with many of the major brands like Penske Truck, Budget Truck, Movex, Pack Rat, ABF and more.

Our service allows you to have your truck or moving method loaded or unloaded in a professional manner to maximize the total space and avoid damage during transit.

We also provide packing services, driving services and on-​site moving options for consumers renovating, home staging or moving within the same complex.

We also provide services to commercial businesses and office locations. We work closely with property management companies, leasing agents, building managers and more to provide labor solutions for moving.

History

Established in 2004.

We began in the Washington D.C. Metro area under Pacific West Moving in 2004, offering moving labor to Maryland, Virginia and D.C. residents. As we grew we acquired several Budget Truck and Car locations and opened new offices along the east coast.

On January 1st, 2009 we re-​branded under Elite Moving Labor to allow for greater awareness of our service segment, moving labor. Our main call center and administrative offices are in Tampa, FL and we maintain full nationwide operations, overseeing over 400 of our own internal moving crews and third-​party contractors. We service 15,000 moves annually within the moving labor industry.

As we move into our seventh year in operation it is my continual goal to help mold and shape the moving labor industry into a respectable and regulated segment. Today the moving labor industry is still widely under regulated and this gives companies like Elite Moving Labor a bad name which is why we fully support organizations like the American Moving Labor Professionals Association (AMLPA).

I recently used this company for a move from Saint Louis, Missouri to Denver, Colorado having read all the great comments on the internet about them. My advice to you is never use this company, it has been the worst professional experience of my life. As you can imagine mostly all of my valuable items were damaged, the only items that did not sustain damage were the items I specifically packed into boxes and had them transport. I own three leather couches, all three sustained damage (one of which actually wound up with a hole the size of a half dollar directly on the front of it.) Now I understand damage is part of the process, which is why companies have insurance. I just received a phone call from the owner and operator of this business to submit a claim and his exact response was «I don’t know how to handle this. What do you want from me?» Needless to say as a customer who paid good money for the company’s service, I am absolutely shocked. My next course of action will be to contact a lawyer and to sue for thousands of dollars in damage done to my items. Also, the same parent company unloaded me in Denver. Two gentlemen who have been in the moving industry for 30+ years who stated that it was the worst load job they had ever seen in their professional experience. Every piece of wood I own was directly in contact with metal, which resulted in scratches on every piece I own. Not to mention only 4 of the 10 furniture pads I provided were used and the moving straps I bought specifically for the move weren’t even used (they actually had not even been opened, the plastic was still on the package). I say again, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE A SCAM AND TREAT PAYING CUSTOMERS EVEN WORSE. I WILL BE REPORTING THIS TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. 0% CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.

Stay away from this company. They promised a 12−2pm arrival and didn’t show. In fact, I had to call them at 2pm to find out where they were. The mover then said they were running an hour late. 3pm rolled around, I again I had to be the one to call. They then wanted me to reschedule the next day (if you can believe that). I had to return the truck and by 6pm, only 3 heavy pieces remained. This dishonest company is keeping my 50 dollar deposit. This business is a broker, a middleman. All they do is try and hire local movers and take your money. Do your self a favor, save money and hire direct. They are dishonest and a rip off.
Update, the better business bureau called me to let me know that Elite Movers would refund my deposit in return for me removing any negative posts, online, essentially trying to bribe me… I rejected this offer because THEY are in the wrong. Their own website states Guaranteed scheduling…“we always arrive as scheduled”. Obviously they don’t always arrive as scheduled. I expected an honest company w integrity to say, we apologize for not contacting you to let you know we are running late and since our movers never showed, we are refunding you your deposit. Sadly they never did, because they don’t care about their customers…

They were great on the front end — polite and efficient but when we got it to our destination and went to unload the truck things were terribly packed, had fallen, boxes busted open with contents all over, and many broken items. They put our lawn mower right next to/​slightly on our rocking chair and ruined the cushions!

These guys did a great job with a difficult «in home move» involving a large and heavy office desk as well as several heavy oak file cabinets from an upstairs to downstairs location. They were very timely and completely professional, insuring that I was satisfied at every stage of the move. I would not hesitate to use their services again or to recommend them to friends and family.

I have moved many times in my life and used many different types of movers. This was by FAR the WORST experience I have ever had. The packers were 1 hour and 15 minutes late (past the latest window). They did not properly pack or wrap anything. They did not empty the dressers before loading them onto the trailer. Many things were broken. They took DOUBLE the time I booked them for but said they’d cut me a deal «off the books» if I paid in cash. They also refused to put the ramp back in the trailer at the end of the evening. I could go on and on. However, when I called elite overs they were completely unconcerned and unresponsive. HORRIBLE experience. If I could rate then ZERO stars I would.

I was looking for another moving option moving from Manhattan to a suburb of the city and stumbled upon Elite. I was beyond impressed with their professionalism, efficiency, and communication! I had 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom worth of items to move. My original scheduled time was on a Friday afternoon around 5pm but when I received a confirmation call the woman I spoke with mentioned how ridiculously busy traffic would be at that time trying to leave the city and suggested I move up the time to save costs. I’m BEYOND glad she suggested it and not only did the crew show up early (by about 15 mimutes) of my new scheduled time, they called me when they were close and even brought wrap to professionally wrap items (much better than I had) before loading them into my truck. I will absolutely be using them for future moves. The total cost was $ 270 for 3 hours which was a steal compared to other movers in the NYC area (range of $ 600-​$ 1000). Absolutely recommended if you have your own truck or can rent one for cheap (I was using ZipVan).

I live in Denver, Co. I was searching for a local company to provide moving labor to unload two pods. I had a horrible experience with so many local companies (particularly Grass Roots — beyond unprofessional!!). I just gave up and decided to go with a «national» company. I signed up online with Elite and it was extremely easy. Before my move date, I got a call from Jermaine at The Wright Move — they are a local company subcontracted by Elite to do my move. The guys that moved me were really professional, courteous, and went above and beyond with what they were doing. They were on time, stayed UNDER the quote and even offered a third mover at no additional charge. I got the best of both worlds — comfort of a nationally recognized company and the satisfaction of hiring a local company who was simply the best of the best.

I hired Elite Moving Labor to load and unload a one bedroom apartment Penske truck. They communicated very well, they were on time, they were friendly, and very professional. Most importantly though, they handled my belongings with care and asked questions about moving things that may have been fragile or important. I recommend them to anyone and will be using them for my next move.

Called this company the same day we needed to move the contents out of out 16 ft pod because Purple People Movers cancelled on us last minute. They came an hour after we called. They stayed exactly to the quote. Two awesome movers came who were really friendly. They moved a full 16 ft pod in 2 hrs without complaints. Pretty inexpensive and fast. Would definitely recommend them!

Don’t use this company. They did not provide the people to unload our truck. They did not even call us to say no one would be there. Brandon lied saying we would get a phone call if they were going to be late. His customer service is not open on weekends and would not have helped if it was because he did not have anyone to move us. They called to say our deposit had been returned to our credit card. As of today it still has not! Run from this company!
