It’s your usual overpriced snacks to go airport kiosk with exorbitant prices and not enough room to maneuver your carry on through. The lackadaisacal monolingual sales cashier isn’t atypical. There are some relatively healthy choices but the choices aren’t practical. We needed food we could take with us for either the plane or the layover in the next airport but the sandwiches don’t come in adequate packaging for juggling with luggage, and they were fall apart sloppy — it’s hard enough to eat a neat sandwich in those little cramped airline seats let alone one of this drippy fall apart«gourmet» sandwiches. So, I decided to eat my chicken sandwich in the gate waiting area but I still managed to spill on myself. There were grapes in my chicken salad sandwich. Who does that? Now the Chief of Staff found this very amusing, apparently this is common in retirement homes as grapes end up in almost as much cuisine as the ubiquitous can of cream of mushroom soup and maybe my look of shock as I dribbled on my sportsjacket was funny but not to me at the time. My dribbling incident isn’t the main reason for the two stars, I was underwhelmed that the worker in this International airport in Florida couldn’t help the Spanish speaking travelers asking simple questions before me. The kiosk is also not wheelchair accessible, it would even be hard to maneuver if you need to walk with a cane.
