I was the recipient of an anniversary cake that my bridesmaids ordered this past week. They wanted a replica of our wedding cake. Not sure who they collaborated with, but the result was delicious, beautiful and reminiscent of our wedding cake. It was chocolate stout w/​ganache and buttercream frosting. So yummy! Thank you so much.

This is an AMAZING «mom n pop» place! The owners are friendly and the food is outstanding. Although I have no aversion to gluten, their GF products are delish! (Something that is difficult to pull off) It’s a bit off the main strip, but worth it! It’s our go-​to stop any time we are in the Tahoe City area. :)

I’ve only ever worked with the owner’s on a business-​to-​business capacity. They are a phenomenal couple and run an exceptional company! You can judge a business a lot by the type of owners that manage it and based off of my interactions with them I can say with confidence that you will not be disappointed. If their food is half as good as their professionalism and positivity then you’ll be experiencing a little slice of Heaven!

You had me at lemon bar. And then you got kombucha! And then you got cold brew coffee!!!
Always quality ingredients, not too sweet… the mission to find impossibly delicious chocolate cake has ended! Just what I needed!!!

I ordered a cake for a 50th wedding anniversary, and it was absolutely decadent and delicious! We actually had to make a last-​minute change and move the celebration up by a day (due to weather), and they were very accommodating. I recommend Sugar Pine Bakery highly.

Buyer beware. Poor quality bakery. I can get better from the Starbucks in town. Alternatively, I’d gladly drive to Sacramento or the bay area for better products. The owners and the family should be ashamed for running this business with their dishonest service.
I feel badly for the locals for the limited choices with driving distance in this area but those that have experienced actual decent bakeries should know better.

So thankful Allison was able to make cakes and cupcakes for our wedding! They were so delicious! Allison was very sweet and accommodating. She personally had a tasting with my husband and myself and showed us the many possibilities and options for cakes at our reception. Our guests loved the different flavors. Our personal favorites are the salted caramel and the strawberry with cream cheese! for our cutting cake, we had a delicious vegan chocolate cake with almond icing… I will be eating delicious cake for breakfast for a week! Thanks Allison for making such sweet treats for us!

A tiny sign from the main road and long enough drive to start questioning your detour. But oh my it’s so worth the trip. Get here early and have a latte and a sticky morning bun. X

YUM! Allison (the owner) makes the best carrot cake! She made the cake for our Sept 2015 wedding and it was a huge hit! When we were looking for a wedding cake, we tested lots of bakeries throughout the Reno/​Tahoe area. Sugar Pine Cakery’s carrot cake was unrivaled. The quality, texture and level of sweetness was perfect!
Also, Allison was always willing to make little Carrot Cake take away boxes for us to munch on when we would make trips to Tahoe for wedding planning. So great!
