New Adventures Day Care Center

I agree with the last poster. This daycare is terrible at getting in touch with people on the waiting list. We got on it when I was 8 weeks pregnant. Never heard a word from them or a call back until I reached out a number of times just before the birth of my son. Still no room but they said they would contact me in three months… When my son was almost a year old, I got an email asking if I wanted to remain on the list. You’re joking, right! This place is clearly an administrative nightmare! If you’re not an employee of Multicare, don’t waste your time. They don’t care about your business. If I could give it zero stars I would!

I’m sure the daycare is good, but most people will never get a chance to find out. I was put on the waiting list when I was 18 weeks pregnant with my son. Six months later, when my son was several weeks old, I inquired about our status on the waiting list. I was told that it would be at least another YEAR before they had an opening. I was never told that it could take anywhere near that long when I was out on the list. Bottom line: if you aren’t an employee of Multicare, don’t bother, and be prepared to lose the $ 25 application fee if you do decide to be put on the wait list.

New Adventures Children’s Center is the best day care center there is. Our son has been going there since he was 12 weeks old (now almost 3) and we all love it. All the lead teachers have been there for years (not months) and a lot of them have early childhood development degrees or some sort of formal training. There has been nearly 0 teacher turn over since we’ve been going there. In fact, even the teacher assistants have been consistent the whole time. Our son learned baby sign language and so many other things that I only wish I had the time and knowledge to teach him while working full time. Of course they’re on the more expensive side, but it’s so worth it. They are part of Tacoma General Hospital (MultiCare) so they are heavily regulated which is great. Also makes me feel good that Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital can be seen from the day care windows (just in case). I recommend New Adventures to any mom who will listen. There is always a waiting list so get on it while you’re pregnant or a couple months before you HAVE to have care.
