In addition, he routinely performs glaucoma surgery, corneal transplantation, pterygium surgery and countless eyelid procedures. He developed a particular interest in treating patients suffering from complications of previous implant and corneal refractive surgery.

In November, 2012, Dr. Andrew Kopstein, a well-known and highly respected local ophthalmologist, opened Tacoma Eye Surgeons at 502 South «M» Street just two blocks from Tacoma General Hospital in the building previously occupied by St. Marks Eye Institute.

Dr. Kopstein received his undergraduate degree, with honors, from the University of Michigan and his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. He performed his residency in Ophthalmology at Loyola University Medical Center.
A Board Certified Ophthalmologist, Dr. Kopstein has been honored with many prestigious awards including recognition as a James B. Angell Scholar and an American Heart Association Fellow.
