This place is tucked away one street down from the busy Pac Ave. They have Pool tables, Darts and Skee-Ball. If you are feeling lucky they have a plethora of Pull tabs to choose from! Each time I have gone they have had Karaōke and with some decent singers! I have not tired the food yet but from what I have seen it looks very good!

Saw the coug flag today 5 stars! Need in a few times, cool bar, good drinks and atmosphere… And the coughs are going to the sun bowl so that’s cool that they put the flag up

It’s a very comfortable setting. You feel very welcome here. Drinks are very reasonable priced. Food is too and they give large portions. Their **motto size matters**. I believe everybody should stop by and say hi.

Last time I’ve been to this bar a waitress was rude. She was yelling at a customer because it was time to close down the bar. She wanted him to down his beer and leave. He was being disrespectful however she was sober and working. She yelled at him and said«drink your f***‘n beer and get the ***k out!» She has dark hair about 5 ft 6 or 7. She has tattoo and wears glasses. If you do not like your Job… Find another one. One thing I do know about customer service is you are the face of the buisness. It’s hard to maintain your patience at times because let’s be real several customers can be assholes, but your dealing with intoxicated customers. You have to be careful how you deal with these type of customers because she almost started a full on bar brawl. Also I noticed that there are no bouncers at the door or working at all. NOTSAFEATALL. And I wasn’t asked for my ID to check if I was 21 the whole night and this happened twice. Who knows how many minors party in this bar.

I agree with Tamara, we’ve had the same experience with this crazy Karaōke jockey! Great service from the wait staff when it’s not packed, but HOLDTHEPHONE if you want to experience a considerate, timely, fair singing period… FORGETIT, the jerk is on his period! Keep looking for a replacement HARDLUCK, cause we come around only every other month waiting to see if the jerk has been replaced! Otherwise we’d be there more often… And bring our peeps too!

Drinks were good, the bartender actually made an effort to make the drinks in the style we wanted. The womens bathroom however. wtf man. 3 stalls and 2 of them broken. The doors looked like painted slap wood as if replaced. The 2 broken stalls had the locks broken in such unique ways. The kareoke was loud. they need more than 2 pool tables. So yeah great drinks but ya go deaf from the kareoke and pray you can get privacy in the bathroom if you’re a lady.

As I have said before I am not really going into hitting any of the bars in the area unless they are ones in Seattle. Steve and I have been to the Hard Luck twice now mainly because we have friends that like to go here because of the karaōke. The first time we were here we actually got something to eat here and in all actuality it was not that bad. We got a massive plate of nachos which had to be shared by pretty much everyone in our party(we were there for a birthday party). One of the best aspects about coming here is that they have good deals for pitchers of Mac and Jacks and Steve and I both enjoy that beer very much! This is kind of a sports bar and kind of caters to the«lighter» Harley crowd so there are a few people that come in that are kind of rough but as I always say, safety in numbers. All in all if you come here just to hang with friends and have some drinks then this bar is ok but the place lacks atmosphere and character compared to the bars that you go into on Capitol Hill in Seattle.

Was going here regularly for a while when I lived in the area. They have good bar food, specifically the wings. I’ve only had their AMF’s and long islands. The bartender knew what she was doing and kept us entertained as well as attentive with the pull tabs. They have karaōke on Saturdays and it’s overall a good environment and good food.

I don’t drink much any more so I have never been here for drinks so I cannot commit on the service when I am wasted or buzzed. I have eaten here many time & I must say that the staff has always been friend and courteous to me. The food to me is great I specially like the large garden salad with some chick added(real chicken no processed stuff) I also like the Tuesday night $ 1 tacos and they were trying out the $ 1 burritos on one of the nights that I was there they were made with fresh ingredients and tasted very tasty. Hope this help with you dinning needs

Wasn’t happy with the drinks that’s for sure. They made my drinks in small plastic cups… and beer was served in a nice tall glass so that was good. I loved the atmosphere that they had with everyone having a good time.(Saturday before Halloween) and the terrible thing that happened closer to the end of the night was a bar fight. My first one. To whoever the group was. Thanks for ruining everyone’s night.

Edit — They don’t listen to their customers — that’s the same thing that happens to every bar that goes out of business. Sorry but if they can’t even watch a local Unilocal and get it, they are not going to last like some have. — — — — — — — — — – That said… This is POTENTIALLY the best karaōke in all of Tacoma/Puyallup Good music system — but it was played too loudly especially for the space given — the singers couldn’t hear themselves to keep on key — and that’s the same for professionals; if you can’t hear yourself even the best of singers WILL go off key and add a bit of beer… yeah, turn the music down a bit, and get the monitor, if there is one,* in front of these singers* so they can have the BEST chance of putting their best foot forward. There are no books so you will need to bring your DATA device connected to the net — interesting but I don’t have a data phone or other wireless device. I think it’s GREAT not to have sticky and outdated(!) Karaōke listings. I asked why the bar was not in the Karaōke category since they started this back in February — I was told that the owner«does that» but that it would be passed on — geeze, *I hope so*, they either WANT more business or they are satisfied with a great bar, decent prices and few people on a weeknight — they can do MUCH better :) The DOWNSIDE for me was customers who kept keeping the door to the patio open so that the smoke POURED in — tobacco isn’t good for a bar — many more people don’t smoke but they don’t come to «bars» to Karaōke for this one reason, the doors are not kept shut and the smoke isn’t kept to a minimum. I understand that people want to hear their friends or participate in the music but please do it after you are finished with your cigarettes and PLEASE blow it OUTSIDE instead of blowing that last puff into the bar — not good for ANYONE. I hope this place stays and that they start having contests for Karaōke, they already participate in DARTS tournaments — and it’s a nice setup with their trophies adorning the spaces inbetween showing that they really are passionate about DARTS. Last but certainly not least, my suggestion EVERYSINGLE«SPORTS» BARORKARAOKEJOINTOUTTHERE: Take the TIME to set your TVs to CLOSEDCAPTIONING — it’s frustrating trying to figure out what is going on on ESPN or ANY channel when the words aren’t there to at the very least READ. Now! Please get passionate about Karaōke TOO :)

A huge improvement over the old Tipperary that use to be there. Gone is the smell of years of cigarettes, stale spilt beer and mold. Servers are friendly and accomodating. No fryer, though. That means no greasy food that goes great with beer. Malibu chicken salad was enormous but the dressing was overpoweringly sweet. The two of us couldn’t finish half the nachos but bigger is not always better. Some parts of the menu were hard to read in the dimly lit tavern. I’m past my Karaōke phase but it looks like a pretty good set up.

One of my favorite joints to visit. The bartenders are are always friendly and the drinks are always cold. The food is super tasty… the nachos are a huge portion, be prepared to share those with 3 of your closest frirends. They are a great place to have a gathering for a bday party or what have you, too.

They did a nice job refurbing this former dive. It is nice with a good atmosphere. Plenty of TV’s, a couple of pool tables, several dart boards, and a good menu. Prices are reasonable too.
