Frank’s Donuts & Muffins

Very friendly shop. Good prices, great doughnuts. They offer real milk, a clean shop and rest room. Plenty of seating on the day I visited, Tuesday morning.

Delicous and the owners are way nice. Got some complimentary donut holes. Plus they open early at 3am which is a plus since my shift starts at 5am when the rest of the donut shops open.

I love this place! They have a very convenient drive thru, and the dough nuts are just like the old fashion ones we all know and love! Could not recommend them more, also the price is more than fair!

My first donut shop visit since moving to the area and I was not disappointed! I got a dozen variety and while we haven’t gone through them all yet, I can definitely say I’m in trouble with their raisin bar! I’ve never had a donut like that and it’s my new favorite! I also enjoyed bites of the apple fritter which was also yummy. I can’t wait to try the strawberry cinnamon roll!
The staff was very friendly, helpful, and promptly welcomed me to the store.
I only deducted one star because I’m a cake donut lover and was sad to see the small area of cake donuts without much variety (no chocolate or blueberry that I like). I might revise my review later since I did get there later in the morning; maybe their cake donuts go fast first thing.
Overall, I’ll be going back but hopefully I can find my cake donuts at another shop.

Stopped by this morning to grab a couple dozen for the house load still sleeping. 5 kids, four adults, $ 16 later and everyone was happy.
Keep in mind this review is coming from an ex donut shop management type person who was taught the fine art of donut-​Ing from a master…
The place itself was very clean. The display added 5lbs to my behind the moment I walked in the door.
The gentleman behind the counter welcomed me and immediately made me feel at home. He was very patient while I picked and chose (something I never mastered) and knew the meaning of a «bakers dozen».
Having read the past Unilocal I HAD to get a cream filled. It was perfect. Apparently that situation was corrected. The lines in the center of raised donuts will tell if the donuts «proofed» (raised) enough, too much, etc. the «proof lines» were perfect… So I knew I was getting a nice fluffy texture without soaked grease like the grocery store donuts. Okay TMI.
I also witnessed an act of compassion and community that I will not go into detail about… Let’s just say it blew me away.
Buy donuts here. You will not be disappointed.

Best donuts in town by far. Never leave without that dozen. Get there when they open in the early morning. Hands down. Gets me the ITIS.

They have been some yummy donuts. The prices are low. The staff is friendly. I love the donuts and my family s. I would like more glaze on my donut holes. Just saying! ;)

Pretty good donuts. My only gripe is that they were a little heavy/​dense. I like a light and fluffy donut.
They had a good variety and are reasonably priced. $ 9 a dozen also really friendly and polite.

Been coming here since I was a baby. My family loves this place and they are VERY affordable! I know for a fact the doughnuts are freshly made everyday! 100% family owned and because I come here they always offer to have me set up my own tab because I forget cash — using any card adds a $ 0.50 fee. Not their fault though, they get fee’d themselves. I always decline the tab because it is worth $ 0.50 extra, the food so delicious!!!

Yes yes yes. Soft and spongy cake donuts, but not too dense nor too airy. Perfectly flaky bar donuts, with balanced glazes /​maple /​chocolate, and sometimes even sprinkles. There is nothing to kid about here, these are the best donuts around. The only thing you’ll be sad about is how many your taste buds will tell you to eat before you body catches up and you’ve overloaded on sugar.

Best donuts around. Friday and Saturday they have a bacon maple bar with a full slice of bacon on it, yum!

LOVE this place. I gave it four stars because they run out early but they also open really early which is a big plus. I also don’t like the instant cocoa. When we want donuts we always get up early and get a dozen or two so we have plenty for the whole day! I don’t like maple anything but hubby LOVES the maple bacon! I would up the stars if they didn’t use instant cocoa, I don’t mind them running out early as they open so early that they make up for it! Shows how good they are!!!

Good Donuts here, reasonable price, they do have drive through, but be forwarned, get here early as they run out of donuts a lot of times! Been here a couple times with a very little to chose from, and been here early in the day with a nice selection of donuts.

I have been meaning to try this local donut shop after hearing about how «delish» this place is but never got up early enough to make the trip as I was told that I need to arrive bright and early to ensure donut availablity, not just selection but actual donuts being available at all as they run out quickly!!!
Seeing how my sleep schedule is null with a newborn, I took the opportunity of using my 4am feeding as a wake-​up call for donuts and made my way down to Frank’s, Finally…
Driving up, I could smell the delicious scent of dough and walking in I saw cases and cases of donuts… oh yeah, it’s on!!!
Their dozen is 15 I believe? or maybe she was extra nice but I got about every flavor available and then some and the price was unbelievable low!!!
I have to go again and try their huge muffins!!!

Light, fluffy donuts served up with a smile! They open at 3 a.m. and their closing time is advertised as 2 p. m, however, they will close early if they run out of donuts. I got there at 11 a.m. and they were almost ouf of donuts. Luckily I got the last 2 bacon maple bars for my boyfriend’s birthday. He was truly happy.

The first two times I came here, they were COMPLETELY out of donuts. I mean, not one thing left.
By some good fortune, my friend called, and they had two bacon-​maple left. Good friend (anyone who risks a speeding ticket for food is a good friend) grabbed the maple and a glaze.
These donuts are amazingly delicate. It’s more than just soft. The glaze they use is not that sweet. Depending on your preference, this could be a good or bad thing.
I like that they use a whole piece of bacon. Makes the bacon more than a novelty, you can actually taste the smokey-​bacony-​ess.
My friend likes it better than Voodoo. I’ve never had Voodoo. As my friend correctly stated, this donut would be the product if Krispy Kremes and Lakewood’s House of Donuts had a baby.
I really wish Unilocal had a .10 rating system. I would give this place just under four stars. I’d knock them just under 4 because if they keep running out of donuts, seems like a management issue.
But they do have a drive thru.

I love there donuts! They are the best donuts around! This morning I stopped in at 0530 and they added Bacon Maple Bars… Can you say YUMMY! Not to crazy about the muffins… But they rate way better than VooDoo donuts that was on the food network!

When Frank use to be here the place was decent, now it is just ok. Still loads better than a grocery store and a decent selection but just not what it used to be. Would recommend this place for the casual donut buyer.
