This is my first time visiting this place. I needed to get some donuts to bring it on Saturday morning for my church communion. I wanted to check out how good this place is before I buy more. But I did not know that this place was accepting only cash. I was going to go across the street to take some cash out, but this young man named Levi was offering to buy donuts for me I said I was OK but he still wanted to help me out. It was just 4 pieces of donuts but Still I could save a lot of time from his generosity. And he was glad to help me out saying we are all brothers in the Lord. And I promised him that I will come back to this place on Saturday morning to buy donuts for my communion. God bless this young man and this place.

Wow the size of these donuts are something else, they’re like 1.5 times the size of a krispy kreme donut. I like them that way, not because you get more donut for your buck, but because it really adds a delightful soft chewy texture. There’s plenty of variety for me, I don’t care that a donut shop has a hundred different creations topped with gummy worms, wheat thins, or cinnamon m&m idiot sprinkles on top. Just shut your fat ignorant mouth and buy a chocolate twist or an apple fritter. The only thing I’m not a huge fan of is the actual chocolate or maple frosting they have on their donuts, its REALLY sweet, sometimes it’s nice other times it’s just overbearing and I can barely taste the flavor. I don’t want to give this place lower than four stars because their donuts in general rock with their unique fluffy texture. I recommended getting their donuts with filling, stay away from the maple bar or cake donut. Also, don’t get weirded out by the owners, I was confused at first because I thought they couldn’t understand me, but really both the husband and wife are extremely soft-spoken, you can barely hear them that really caught me off guard. They’re very nice people though, anyways try their donuts, because its good.

Very good donuts, larger than normal. What I liked is that the old fashioned donuts have a little extra chew and aren’t overly frosted. The sitting area is sparse but the donuts are good enough to make a stop here.

The old man working is sooooo sweet! Came in on a detour while heading to the pool place next door. Coming in, the place was pretty empty. But eh who cares… less wait for me yay~ They’ve got an amazing selection… it was so hard to choose! They also have seating which is nice. Soooooo many yummy delicious scrumptious delightful donuts to choose from. ***Oh but a heads up!!! They only accept CASH*** Ever since I was little we’d pass by this place and I would always want to try it. And lo and behold, 19 yrs later, I finally did! Took me long enough… but it was worth it. These donuts are definitely quality-made and was worth the $ 1.25-$ 1.75 each. Coming back verrrrry soon! I really hope they’re getting enough customers around… they still had quite a bit left when we came at around 6ish after our phở dinner. My new go-to donut place!

I was sad when they closed their location near I-5 and thought what and where am I going to go now. They said they moved to the Original Doughnut place but that was no the case. They moved more into the Tacoma area, I didn’t find this out until after I moved. Check them out because they are a smaller doughnut place.

The donuts are good size, and taste good and very friendly service here, but main reason I wont give them 4 or 5 stars is they dont have a large selection of donuts to chose from. They’re Blueberry filled doughnut was very good! Wish they had some strawberry ones!

These are the type of doughnuts you see in an average office. I had to check them out just to get a feel about what kind of doughnut/pastries I can find in the Tacoma area close to work. If it’s late in the afternoon, I’ll generally hit this place up since my other *favorite* shop I go to is either sold out or it’s slim pickins left. The quality is consistent, I think they are a bit pricey for what they are– but when you see the sugar high everyone at work gets… it’s worth it. This is my back-up doughnut place.

Monday morning, fresh donuts, little shop and fresh coffee. It reminds me of the donut shop my grandparents use to own. This place, while not nearly as fancy as krisppy kreme is 100x better! The ATM on the inside is broken but they take cards. I will be sure to come here for my next fix as its cheap and they have a GREAT apple fritter.

Childhood favorite(: Half of my childhood, I grew up in South Tacoma and my parents and even grandparents brought me here! I just got off school and had 5 mins to spare before I get to work. I had an instant craving for these doughnuts out of nowhere. My sister bought some for me a month or two ago. But she didn’t get me what I like best. My all time favorite is the … *drum roll please* TWIST! YES. I think we can all agree that one is a lot of people’s favorites. Well 5⁄5 in my family at least(: Wow. I have to say, I overlooked how big in porportion their doughnuts were. I used to just eat food for taste and what not but now I’m all about texture. I ordered 6 pieces. 2 twists, 2 maple bars(oh my next… in line favorite), blueberry filling, and the apple fritter. Apple fritters are so good. But always have been too big for me to finish in one«session». Haha. Like other people mentioned, the doughnuts best part is the fluffiness.(Everyone think about the little girl from Despicable Me movie, its so fluuuuffyyyyy). Yup, that is my reaction each time I come eat doughnuts from here. That is like once a year too, sad. I recently came back from California after 1.3 years so I will be back more often now!

I agree, I love these donuts much better than some other overated shops. Soft and fluffy exterior, sugary with a slight crunch outside. The batter is superior. Very friendly customer service

Good donuts. I’d go here over Krispy Kream 4 out of 5 times. Their apple fritters are worth the extra $ 0.50.

Big, fresh donuts– still warm when I stopped by around 9am. Tastier than most supermarket bakery donuts but at a higher price. I think the sugar content may be quite a bit higher as well: I felt kinda nauseous a little while after consuming two of them too quickly.

The best donuts EVER!!! I no longer live in WA but every time I come home I stop by and get a dozen. Light fluffy sweet but not too sweet… fabulously delicious.

Its decent and close to I-5 used to go here on Thursday mornings to bring donuts to my troops. The donuts were always fresh and the soldiers liked them. They weren’t outstanding though. If you need something that is decent and resonably priced then this is it.

I spotted this place on the way to Lakewood Donuts and thought I would give them a shot next time I was going to get donuts for work. Wednesdays are our warehouse runs and knowing we would have a couple of hungry warehouse guys around, our floor decorator myself and two sales guys I knew a dozen wasn’t out of line. I got a dozen cakes for $ 6.99, they were fresh, tasty and pretty good. Not anything to tell you to bring your relatives here when they come into town for a visit but good enough to go again!
