Laura works out of her home, not St Helens Ave as stated on the website. When I got there the carpets were rolled up due to the smell of cat urine on the rugs.
I am getting married in a few weeks. I asked Laura about getting hair extensions and being able to swim in the ocean and pools before my wedding in Hawaii. She said it would be «no problem.»
After I paid her 50% of the amount — $ 322 — I went home to find out from my sister that keratin-​based hair extensions do NOT do well in the water. They bulk up and some people have had to have their hair cut out. It’s a thing: right there on google if you search. I emailed Laura back to ask for more detail, asking if you could really swim with them or not. She then said that I would have to make sure they didn’t stay wet. Well, I’ll be in Hawaii swimming! I will not have access to a hair dryer on the beach.
When I went to my hair stylist, she told me that I do not have the right kind of hair for extensions: too thin and fine, and that they would pull my hair out very easily. Long story short: when I paid her the money, there was no stated policy on refunds. When I emailed Laura 4 hours after we booked the appt to cancel due to misinformation, she said there would be no refunds. After I resisted, she told me that she would refund a small portion but would keep the money for the hair, since she had ordered it.
Laura now tells me that if I don’t pick up the hair that she will use it on someone else in a few months if I don’t pick it up. If that’s true, why not give a full refund given that I received the wrong information?
In sum, I am now having to dispute the charge with my credit card company. They say I will get my money back because she has no stated refund policy anywhere (they took a screen shot of her website section on prices for references), but what a horrible, horrible experience.

Making an appointment with them is a little difficult, but I walked in and talked to the gal that worked there and set up an appointment right then. I was impressed by what I saw when I walked in. Exquisite decorating and a lovely aromatic smell that had a calming effect. The gal was also very friendly. I have an appt set up and have high hopes for this place judging by the google reviews. Update to come.
