Wonderful staff and customer service. It is such a beautiful and peaceful location. I recommend pre-arranging the funeral as the most affordable option.

this place is honestly very nice, the drive up the mountain is a bit long but its worth it, you get a nice view of Sylmar. my mother was actually buried there, within three days of her passing, she was buried in a nice slot that was worth of her. The price was good, it is away from the city so it is quiet.

Chose to post a review for this cemetery as we recently buried my daddy here(may he rest in paradise). When daddy past away we were not financially prepared to give dad a decent service worthy of him. We contacted a funeral director who sold us a property here in Glen Haven. I went to check out the place first and to be honest at first I was a little uneasy about burying dad here. The location is very secluded, away from the city, lonely you could say. But the price was good. The grass itself was very dry which gave off a sad vibe(but we’re in drought). after contemplating the pros and cons we held dad’s services here and wished for the best. The people at the office were very nice to me in helping take decisions for dad’s services. This was the first time I’ve had to take these type of decisions. We had burial on a Saturday which they charged $ 400 more, $ 100 more since I requested a carp and they placed about 20 chairs out for us. The team of employees did a great job at handling my dad’s casket with care. Also we took tamborazo on the day of his services which was really nice that they permitted us to play music as that was dad’s last wish. The team leader«Antonio»(don’t recall his title) was very nice to me on the day of. He took into consideration our desires for dad’s services. He came to me every time they were going to do proceed with the service so that I could be aware. He asked if we wanted to place my dad’s white roses on top of his casket when they had lowered him or before. Right after they lowered him he placed the shovel with dirt in front of me to give us the option to grab and throw dirt over dad.(As painful as it was, that was the most significant moment for me) he also asked whether we wanted to keep dad’s flowers or place them on daddy’s grave. It was nice to be taken into consideration for all those decisions. I’m really beginning to like this place. After it rains, it definitely looks greener. I love that my family and I can go find peace there away from the city and it helps us connect with daddy more. We ran into deer up there which was great especially for my younger sisters. I would recommend to take a small carp when you go visit because the valley gets super hot! regarding the illegal dumping I read on here, I can’t really say how true that is but I did as the office admin and they said it wasn’t true. I’m not sure I believe or not but I really hope it’s not true. I want my dad’s body be safe.

What a truly peaceful and tranquil cemetery up in the mountains of Angeles Crest. I buried my father here, and the experience was wonderful. Though I only used the cemetery staff for the cemetery services, they provided them with the utmost of respect and were great at answering any questions and requests we had. I was able to scout out the perfect spot for my father and luckily, the very spot I migrated to was available. The day he was buried, it just happened to be on a gorgeous spring day with a slight breeze and birds singing. During the services, right after my aunt had read a prayer, a hummingbird flew over my dad’s coffin and hovered front and center momentarily before suckling some of the sweet nectar from the flowers his brother’s and sister’s had bought for him. It was a moment I will always cherish. It couldn’t have happened without the setting that is Glen Haven Cemetery. From ChaCha: What is the significance of a hummingbird at a funeral? Seeing a Hummingbird is a very good sign. She is a good luck messenger. She takes our prayers to the Great Creator.

Great resting place for your loved ones as this old cemetery is very very far up the hill. Nice view of the city. Serene.

On a motorcycle ride on a «California Perfect» Sunday in April, we ran into this very cool, unfenced cemetery way back in the beautiful hills of Kagel Canyon. It’s very open(unfenced), and looks like a cemetery you’d see in an old black and white movie. Some of the oldest headstones were from the 50’s, but I didn’t have time to research the older sections to see just how old this grand ‘ol gal is, nor was the mortuary open so I could see the décor inside… The cemetery looks to be in fairly good condition, the mausoleums are clean and bright, but it’s not a high-ticket cemetery you might find in town. It does however, have a stately«ambiance» about it that makes it very inviting. The grass is in pretty good shape for the surrounding mountainous and rocky soil, and some headstones(and the road) need a little TLC as they’re partially covered with dirt and mud(we just had a rain, so take that with a grain of salt). This memorial park is very much«tucked away»(I work in the cemetery business, and I’d not heard of it before!), and is worth a trip some weekend to take a leisurely tour.
