I’ve discovered this gem of a shop back in 2005 when I moved from Boston to Marblehead. Since then Gus and his crew has become more than just excellent professionals, at all levels — reliable, trustworthy, fair priced. They never let me spend more than is necessary — along all these years they’ve become more like friends!

I’ve been taking my car there for years now and every time the service keeps getting better and better. Gus and his team have done marvelous work on my car. His work ethics are beyond high. Fast and reliable service!
They recently did a remodeling of the waiting area! Looks great! Makes waiting for your car more pleasant!

Took a car there to have it checked out mechanically before purchasing. The technician did a very thorough job of looking the car over. I was very pleased. He charged $ 40 for his work, which I considered very reasonable. My only complaint is that the garage was so busy, it took twice as long to have the car checked as the tech was jumping from job to job, stopping to move vehicles in and out of the bays. Overall, I wouldn’t hesitate to go back again. Just allow for more time.

This is long over due. Been coming to Paradise Citgo since we moved to town inn 2006 until we left in 2014. I can’t recommend this place enough. Gus and the staff has gone above and beyond for us numerous times. I trust him and appreciate their competence and honesty.

I have three things to say:
1– Gus, the owner, is always there to ensure that customers receive the service they need
2. I came in with a bad alternator, Gus took the initiative to call the dealer, and I was happy to learn that it was still under warranty, saved me hundreds, thanks Gus!
3. Do I really need to say anything else? Best car shop in the area!

In late December of 2013, I took my car in for the inspection sticker, oil change and to have a light bulb put in my taillight. $ 90. When I drove away, my VHS (Vehicle Stability) light came on. I brought it to my dealer, who showed me that my oil was low and «gunky». I explained that I just had the oil changed– and the mechanic said, «Absolutely not». Paradise Citgo charged me but never changed the oil. I sat in the waiting room and watched them– and they weren’t busy. They didn’t forget– they knew I was in for an oil change. They just didn’t do the work. Never got a receipt– can’t do anything about it… but I can let others know about my experience. The guys in the shop are very pleasant– but they’re dishonest.

Paradise Citgo has provided trustworthy and high quality service for my car for years. Their excellent work includes maintenance to major repairs. Excellent, professional crew: Gus always greeting you with a smile, very knowledgable about cars. He is always very accurate with estimates and time of repairs. The rest of the crew are always pleasant to deal with, they explain things precisely and answer any question you have.
Once I found Citgo I never go anywhere else.
High quality work and people, highly recommended.

I’ve called and asked about the price for Interstate battery MT-​35. They named me the price that was above $ 120, plus $ 20 installation.
$ 20 installation for a battery in a passenger car? And over $ 120 for the battery with the list price of $ 119.95 and suggested retail price of $ 99.95 (according to the Interstatebatteries website)?!!
They might be nice (which I unfortunately won’t get to experience), but the prices don’t make sense.

These guys are outstanding! I’ve taken my car here several times, for things as small as a headlight out (which they replaced on the spot in the parking lot), to larger maintenance/​repairs such as replacing a timing belt and water pump. They always have the car finished on time, and for far, far less than I ever expect it to cost. How often can you say that about car repairs?
