History

Established in 1987.

Mark Sr. started Mark’s Mobile Maintenance in 1987. He bought the shop in 1993, founding Mark’s Auto Maintenance. His wife and 2 sons now work alongside him, and the same quality of work continues through the next generation. Mark Jr. has become a superior auto technician in his own right, learning directly from Mark Sr. He is certified by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence as an automobile technician. He is also certified in on-​board diagnostics by the NAPA Institute of Automotive Technology. Steve has taken the role of service adviser. His goal is to maintain the level of service Mark’s Auto is known for. We are keeping up with the fast pace, constant technological changes that the 21^st century is bringing, so we can continuously meet the needs of our customers. Up to date automotive knowledge, coupled with old school values of integrity, hard work, and honesty is what Mark’s Auto will consistently stand for.

Business Owner

Mark Sr. is the owner and senior technician at Mark’s Auto Maintenance. He started his education in his uncle’s shop as a teenager in Clifton, NJ. He then moved on to school bus repair and working in an independent repair shop. He then furthered his experience on heavy and medium duty trucks at Ryder Truck Rental for ten years where he was a fleet technician and shop foreman at 22. He started Mark’s Mobile maintenance in 1987 where he traveled to customer’s homes all around Sussex County. He started Mark’s Auto Maintenance in Sussex, NJ soon thereafter and has been servicing customer vehicles at that location ever since. He began to be certified by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence in the mid 90’s. He is currently a Master Automobile Technician, and has expanded his knowledge to include Hybrid vehicles. Mark has built his reputation on hard work, honesty, and same day repairs. He treats his customers as family, and will always stand by his shop’s work.
