Groupon I guess screwed the owner out of money, so my coupon will not be honored. Maybe it’s just as well with all the negative reviews on here. wow…sad.
This company has to be so crooked as they come: who can’t drop someone off at Sky Harbor? And, if that is true, why use them at all? This company should be out of business now.

Terrible customer service ! Please save yourself time and energy and stay away from this company. Flew in to PHX at 11:30 pm on Sunday, had confirmed 3 times with the company the pick up time, no one showed up. Tried to call the company 10+ times no one picked up the phone. I was stuck at the airport at midnight without a way of getting home, thankfully I was able to get a cab an hour later. The next day I email the company saying what happened at this is what I got in return :
«sorry that happened to you because we have 700+ very satisfied customers. You obviously had an unfortunate experience, but that does not represent the entire company. We have removed you from our database.

Really? That’s how they take care of their customers, by removing you from their database …

I purchased a Groupon for this outfit. They confirmed that they would pick me up at PHX and failed to show while I waited around for an hour. I ended up having to take a taxi home. I wrote them a letter asking them to reimburse me for my taxi ride home from PHX. They never responded. So, they essentially pocketed the amount I paid for my Groupon. Also, the fact that they failed to respond to my letter tells me that they just don’t care.

I purchased two Groupons for this service which seemed like a good deal but I got what I paid for and as a result I have NEVER had such unprofessional service in my life! They don’t use GPS so on the two Groupon occasions we used them they got lost. The first time was at Christmas so I chalked it up to a busy time and a new driver but no, it is standard procedure for this company to not know where they are going and how to get there. The second time I used them (my final Groupon before it expired) is definitely my last.
Johnny, our driver, didn’t have a clue how to get to the airport — using the I-​17! On the return trip home, he was late picking me up at the airport, said «Bulls**t» when I told him I was waiting 35 minutes past my booked and confirmed pickup time. I was flabberghasted. I was shaking I was so mad. If there had been another limo company or cab available I would have left him standing there but I just wanted to get home. Never again with this company, they are the absolute worst!

So we get a call from the driver stating «Hey man, sorry, my last pickup wasn’t ready to go when I went to pick him up so… I’m going to be 45 minutes late». My wife and two kids are waiting… waiting… yes he was 50 minutes late! Finally he arrives in a small car to pick us up and my 4 person family crams in (poor kids in the back… but what choice do I have at this point?). Never again Lajolla! My advice either improve the operation or kill it altogether. Don’t make folks suffer because of your poor planning and lame excuses. If someone isn’t ready when they say they are, don’t wait for them because folks who are ready to go when they say they are expect you to be!

I purchased the groupon for round trip service! Made the reservation well in advance of my departure date of January 1. Called to confirm last week in December, all set ready to go or so I thought. We had an 8am scheduled pick up in North Scottsdale at 7:15pm the owner Everett Jolly phoned to confirm our location, 8:10am received a call from the driver Johnny who was out in Surprise, yep over 45 minutes away, told me his GPS sent him there, this after confirming that the off ramp is Frank Lloyd Wright. This was for an international trip, seriously stressing, was able to call a cab who was here in less than 10 minutes and got us to Sky Harbor by 9am. Was asked that the owner phone me before departure and of course no call. Upon returning to the states we had an arrival time at Sky Harbor at 11pm, once landing in Houston phoned the office and confirmed our pick up, hoping that someone would be at the airport after our 18 hour flights. Upon landing there was a voice message on my phone from Everett stating he had been waiting since 10pm and that if he didn’t hear from me, he was leaving. Once I phoned him he asked about the flight number and of course he had the wrong flight number. He finally met us outside the baggage claim and the first words out of his mouth were «I hope you are going to take care of me since I have been waiting for an hour». Seriously? I then asked about our departure and not being picked up, he claimed that he know nothing about it, the driver Johnny never said a word. He then proceeded to tell us that Johnny was fired. At this point I was too exhausted to argue, he dropped us at home and handed my husband a $ 49 voucher good through June 30. 2012, are you kidding me? Like I would ever use this. I am attempting to collect the $ 54.85 cab fare that we had to pay to Discount Cab who as I mentioned was GREAT. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

We also purchased on Groupon and booked two weeks in advance for airport transportation to and from Sky Harbor for my sister’s destination wedding. When we booked, we were told we couldn’t use the Groupon because we were using two in the same family, even though it was two separate pickup locations (one for my family, one for my sister and her fiancée) and Groupon allows for guest purchases. Then we were told we’d be charged extra because our return flight didn’t land until 9:30 pm, even though the groupon said 24-​hour pickup. We still booked the transportation because we’d already sunk the cost through Groupon. We explained that we’d need large cars because we’d be transporting 6 people and roughly 15 pieces of luggage, and we were assured that we’d have two SUVs reserved. The day before our pickup, we called to confirm… and got no call back. The day of our pickup, we called, spoke to Everett, and were told we had no reservation, but he’d be able to pick us up anyway. The cars arrived, one KIA crossover and one Chevy Malibu, both of which smelled like smoke. We ended up using passenger seat space to accommodate all the luggage, even though we’d made note of our luggage needs twice before the pickup. One driver needed directions to the airport. As they dropped us off, we asked about our return pickup and they assured us they’d be there. When we arrived back from our international trip and called to confirm from our connection at LAX, they told us we had no reservation and could not pick us up because they didn’t have the cars available. We ended up paying cash for limos at the airport. This was an incredibly disappointing and unprofessional experience. My guess is that this «company» is just a guy and his car making some spare change on the side. DO NOT USE.

I purchased a Groupon and made a reservation at least 10 days prior to the needed transportation. I got an email confirmation stating it was all set and that I would get a confirmation call 24 hours before the time of travel. About 36 hours before the ride, I got a call stating that they couldn’t pick me up because they lost their privileges at Sky Harbor. I never heard from Groupon and think these guys are full of it. How do you lose your ability to drop off someone at the airport. And where’s my money? I guess you get what you pay for. Some «deal» from Groupon and Lajolla Express!

We used this shuttle service last weekend to get to and from the airport. The ride over was great. However, the evening before our flight home they called and told us that they could not pick us up because their airport privileges had been suspended and that we would need to arrange for alternative transportation home. We called them back and spoke to the owner, and he told us that they couldn’t pick us up, but that they’d have their airport privileges back in September and that we could use them again then. We asked him how we were supposed to get home, since they called us at 7pm and it’d be hard to find another service on such short notice while we were in another state. He told us that it wasn’t their problem and then hung up on us. As a result, we got stuck with a $ 65 cab ride home! Do not use these guys, they clearly don’t care about the customer and whether they complete the job that you hired them to do!

I would never deal with this company again. I purchased the Groupon for a round trip service to Sky Harbor. I called to make my reservation and was told that I had to make the reservation online and then they would call me to confirm within 48 hours. I told Everett that my flight was in 48 hours and I needed to know within 24. He said of course. So this morning, over 24 hours, no call back. I called again and spoke to Everett and he said oh, well we cannot take you because we lost our driving privileges at Sky Harbor. What? I said, my flight is in 12 hours. He said he was sorry. I asked him why I didnt receive a call to let me know that I would not be able to use their service and he mumbled something about hoping to get the privileges back by the end of September. Super unprofessional. I would have been stranded waiting for them had I not called to confirm. I called Groupon and they refunded my money and said that they will need to confirm with La Jolla and then will have to refund all of the groupons that were purchased. I feel that all customers that had booked trips should have been called ASAP and at least offered something in return. Do not use this company.
