Unilab Quest Diagnostics

I wish there was lower rank than one star, because they deserve no star! These guys have the worst customer service. First, it was impossible to reach them over the phone, secondly it took almost two hours to wait for a simple blood work… and there were just a few patients ahead of me… I don’t understand what the staff was busy with during this long time … Also I hope that the customer attendant in the front desk had a really bad day that day, since I can’t imagine anyone would appoint such person to handle customers. I’m heading now to palo alto medical foundation which is much further drive for me, but way better.
I’d Avoid Quest!

This place sucks. I came here on a Friday for a drug screen. I was told to go to another location since their computer system was down. Lady!!! I called your location 4 times before showing up and no one answered. I came back today again on a Monday. First their employee said they cannot find me in their system. 5 minutes later she said she found me and they can do the drug screen. Now I’ve been sitting here for 40 minutes. Still no sign of help. I’ve to go to work. I don’t have time to be sitting around or to go to another location for a test that could be done here. The way this business is run here is so incompetent. Oh and when I asked them why they didn’t answer their phones on Friday when I called multiple times, I was told they don’t answer phone calls. Like wth…

I have been searching for a good Quest Diagnostics in the South Bay. This is my 4^th one I have visited, and would definitely recommend this one above all others. Had an appointment, and was in/​out within 10 minutes during lunch hour. They were very friendly and things went smooth and easy during my visit. This location was much cleaner and warm than other locations, and bathrooms weren’t disgusting! Definitely plan to come back to this location.

We waited here for 50 minutes for a simple blood test. There are only 3 patients ahead of us! Not sure what the staff is doing! Falling asleep at work?! Don’t come here!

A nightmare come true. It is incomprehensible how an incredibly rude receptionist works at such a people/​service oriented job!!! She is callous, extremely rude and vicious — mission accomplished for her though since we left!

Seriously how long does it take to piss in a cup? I’ve been sitting in the lobby for 30 mins now waiting for three people ahead of me to take a drug test. Now mind you I have been to other establishments and have been in and out within minutes. The women working here seem unqualifed with there inablility to work efficiently. I would pick a different locations regardless if you have an appointment or not since I saw two people come in with appointments yet they were seen 20 mins later than there scheduled time.

Don’t bother coming here unless you have an appointment. We waited 2 hours without and appointment to finally be seen.
Unfortunately, this is the place I have to go to for blood tests for my insurance. So I cannot say that I won’t come back. But if other options come up with my insurance, I’ll be trying those.

My husband and I both had an APPOINTMENT this last Saturday and although we ARRIVED ON TIME the guy in front of us took forever so by the time we checked in, we were ‘late’ and weren’t guaranteed our appointment (as in we will be seen but not right away). Absolutely ridiculous. The receptionsist was very rude and short. When taking my vitals, she was very loud and didn’t seem concerned about HIPAA. I have had numerous blood draws and never have been bruised but of course this Phlebomtist managed to do so! What should have taken a half hour at the most (for 2 appointments) took almost an hour. Good thing this is going to be my only visit!

They kept us waiting for 3 hours, and even though we filled insurance information on the form and also they took front-​and-​back copies of our insurance card, they started sending us late notices, and it took a 20 minute call to provide the insurance information again and for them to verify it. So don’t go there unless you have a lot of time to wait and to deal with insurance information issues.

I came with my 3yo son to get his blood drawn and the wait was quite ridiculous. There were a lot of people in the waiting room, but I came in 10 min after it opened and half of those people were there for a glucose test or something else that required waiting for an hour before getting their blood drawn, meaning there were only a couple of people ahead of us. Nonetheless, it took us a solid 90 minutes to be seen, and then another 15 – 20 min because they needed two people since my son was so young. I understand the need to have two people helping with a small child, but it still seemed very unorganized. I also heard a couple of people complaining about the long wait because they had made appointments online and were still kept waiting for over half an hour. I’ve been to other places that were much faster, so I don’t think it’s the nature of the work. I’d try to find another place to get your blood drawn.

Came in around 2 today (Wed) and it was empty. Thanks to the Unilocal picture, I was able to find the location.
Receptionist was polite.
Was in there for a drug test and the whole process was under 10 min.

Absolutely awful. Don’t bother making an on-​line appointment if you decide to use them because they don’t honor those appointment times. It apparently is just first-​come, first-​served (and they work very, very slowly). I went in with a 12:00 appointment and no one even talked to me by 12:55 (no one was at the front desk when I signed in). When I went back to the (again empty) front desk to find out how much longer, I noticed that they had scratched out my 12:00 appointment time.
Left without even getting the blood draw that should have taken less than 5 minutes. I simply couldn’t trust the lab results of a place that manages itself this incompetently (and am now not at all surprised that they messed up the last blood sample that my doctor sent them, which was the reason I had to go there in the first place.
No way that I’d trust lab results from a place that is run like this.

I can’t believe only one person is working here!!! The receptionist is RUDE. Had an appointment @ noon came in a little 10 mins after and no one came out until 12:20. The person ‘helping’ me had the nerve to say they hold it up to 15 mins implying I was 20 mins late! The beezie is in the back now not helping anyone probably eat her lunch!
Be prepared to wait WITH an appointment!

Don’t come here. The staff sucks and the waiting times are ridiculous. I’ve been waiting for 45 minutes. Only two people have been helped before me and they haven’t been working on anyone for the last 20 minutes.

Long wait.

Ridiculous long wait. They truly are slow or short staffed. I came right around the time they would do any lab draws and there were a few in front of me. Still waiting and it’s been nearly an hour! Not very friendly woman either so even though it’s close by home I would rather go somewhere that doesn’t frustrate me. It’s not a doctors visit for goodness sake! If you have to come here, make an appointment online first so you get priority. I’ll give a star for the man that works there. :)

Super long wait i dnt know what the hell the receptionist is doin shes slow can only do one thing at a time. Multitask is lacking big time. Never coming here again. This place screams infection control one of the phlebotomist was picking her ear with her finger and pen! I don’t think there is a sink anywhere inside besides the bathroom, and I didn’t see her go inside once!!! Even tho it’s 2 seconds from my place I am NGBJ!!!

Dreaded coming here, but it was convenient to make the appointment online, show up, and have your blood drawn with no wait. I thought there was going to be a long line, but since I made the appointment, it was an easy in and out. The staff that worked there, especially the male, was really easy to work with, talked to me during my scaredy-​cat moments, and helpful. If I HAD to come back, I would definitley come back here since it’s close to home and on the way to work.

Haven’t been here in quite a while. Nothing has changed. still make you feel retarded for not knowing their procedures. Only 1 person working desk AND doing blood draws.6 people waiting. WTH?
But…the guy doing the all the work was doing the best he could. He was obviously frustrated by being the only employee there… I’m hoping that other people called in sick. but I would believe that Quest is trying to save money by cutting workers… not good business model.

I’ve been to two Quest Diagnostics so far (I recently moved), and this one was not as good as the one in Menlo Park, on El Camino.
The wait was really long when I went (10:30 am)… I think the whole thing took about an hour. However, once it was my turn, it only took about 5 mins to take my blood sample and they did a good job (i.e. didn’t miss my vein).
Location: hard to find, not visible from the main road. It is part of a larger Medical Center. If you are on Fremont facing highway 85, the center is on your right hand side, before you cross Mary St. Park on the right hand side of the lot, as the trailer it’s in is on behind and on the right (there’s a map that you can use to locate it, but I think it’s in section H)
Facility: Crowded, not very nice/​in a trailer-​looking building.
