After doing a lot of research in different programs in getting CNA requirements done before taking the state exam, tls education center provides a whole package for me to succeed in becoming certified. The price is expensive in my perspective but the place will certainly guide you through the process and prepare you for the state exam. In my afternoon class, 5 out of 6 of my classmates including myself passed both written and skill exams. There were other people from Chico and Sacremento that were from different programs that took the state exam the same day as my class, where they unfortunately didn’t passed the skill exam. I would recommend to do the NA Program here where you can get 10% off to recertification your CNA.

Pure dissapointment. Unprofessional staff and unqualified instructor. This review is written after registering for the CNA class. While awaiting for the class session to begin (school Contract stated will commence in one-​week) after 5 weeks the program director-​owner named Alice still had not have any class scheduled. Alice kept calling me weekly stating she will refund me if the class did not start, but when I would come visit the school she will have a discerning excuse so she would not refund me. After 5 weeks of pretty much wasting my time&gas, Alice was extremely manipulative +plus now feeling deceived, I had to make a police report for her actions of breaking the law (legal contract). Sunnyvale police filed complaint with the Santa Clara City Attorney’s office for illegal business practice. Thanks for their assistance they were able to return my money. This review is written as advice before you pay. Afterall I did complete my CNA at MVLA School, and got a great position at Palo Alto Medical Foundation. GOOD LUCK!

All good jobs in America need certificate or some degree. But I am a new immigrant and I don’t know what job I can do. One day I saw TLS advertising on newspaper and I called them. The lady is so patient to explain all the program to me. As a current student, I have to say, TLS gives people like me an opportunity to have «a dreams come true!» I can earn money by myself. TLS not just provides high quality education, they also help me get a job. Their instructor and staff are really nice knowledgeable and patient. In the future I believe TLS can help more people like me who need fresh start. I highly recommend this school to all my friends who need a supportive and honest school.

TLS have the best teachers who actually cares ! Who push U to study hard to past the exams ! The best CNA school so far.

I did my CNA class here. For those that had bad reviews, I am sorry. My feeling is that it is a CNA class, not a nursing school. 90% is common sense. Janice was great. Gemma did well. 100% of my class passed the CNA exam the first time. They were willing to work around my schedule to get my test done as my family had already moved out of state. After I passed my CNA exam, I got a job at the University of Utah hospital on an Ortho/​Trauma unit and then transfered to an internal medicine unit. Everyone I met at the school was happy with the instruction. The price seemed comperable to the other accelerated schools in the area.

First and foremost, without a doubt, the staff at TLS are understanding, patient, and sociable. Never once did I feel intimidated of asking the instructors a question or just having a conversation. To me, a friendly staff can make or break it and I would recommend anyone to this place just because of them.
I’m all for learning things quickly and my aunt took her CNA class here and told me she completed it in about a month. Becoming a CNA is NOT difficult, and it shouldn’t be. Janice, the main instructor, gets the point across and there really isn’t any confusion as long as you take note to what she says. The course is effective and got me my certification… what else is there to complain about?
In retrospect, I felt like they could have allowed us to practice for our American Red Cross Exam during the last few weeks instead of spending a bit of it at the Terraces (where we got our hands-​on experience in clinical); just to put our minds at ease since a lot of us were feeling a bit unprepared with our procedures.
But after that was all said and done, I believed that week was all we need to be ready. There was only one who failed the skills portion of the exam, but it was mainly because this person was a ball of nerves when tested.
Within this short time, I made some good friends– including the staff, all of whom I intend to keep in touch with as I further my education.

I just finished the weekend course CNA program. Janice was an amazing teacher and I learned a lot. We also had Gemma and Lauren help out on some days and both of them were kind and knowledgeable.
The staff at TLS — all of them, without exception, have extraordinary patience and compassion for the students, for the skills they teach, and for the residents we worked with in our clinicals. Our clinicals were held at Terraces of Los Gatos, which is an extremely nice facility — one of the best in the bay area. I took my CA State test on Tuesday and I was so well prepared that the test seemed easy. Janice prepared us very well. I feel lucky that I chose TLS out of the CNA schools available.
I came to Unilocal because there was a rumor among the students in my class that someone posted a bad review on Unilocal and I was curious to see. I wasn’t in the reviewer Alexa’s class so maybe she had a completely different experience… In her review she said that the practice tests had different correct answers than what the book taught –that did happen in my class also — ON ONE QUESTION out of hundreds we were given. There were some people who struggled with reading and learning comprehension in my class, and we did have to wait for them sometimes, but it’s no different than in my jr. college classes. Janice would move on if it was taking too long, and then talk to the student later, 1:1. Reviewer Alexa also said that the school wasn’t at adult level. I kind of agree — the material we learned is basic and simple: how to brush dentures, make beds, and clean peoples privates after they do their business. It’s CNA school, not rocket scientist school. Go to college if you are looking for cerebrally challenging education. Come to TLS if you want to get your CNA certification and work as a CNA.

I find it very interesting that after the program teachers and directors found out about my review of this awful excuse of a school that all of a sudden there are several reviews about how good the program is. Before i wrote my review the only person who wrote a review on this place was written in 2009… HUMMM THAT’S WEIRD!
OH and don’t let «Dee» fool you. he is one of my class mates who has told me what hes thought of this facility and it is nothing of what he said in his review.
Myself and several other students INCLUDING THE ONES IN MY CLASS find this «school» to not be of adult level and feel that we have WASTED our money and time
I guess I’m the only one with enough balls to say it.
and as for those other 5 star reviews… I’m sure that those reviews are from the people that work there
once again don’t waste your time and money with TLS.

I encourage you to attend TSL. I received my CNA certificate. Very good experience. Teachers are knowable and hands on. Janice, Jama, and Precious really encouraged me when I had tough days. The training at Terrence Los Gotos was great hands on training. Rebecca H.

Okay so I just finish my 6 weeks course at TLS and I have to say it was definitely an interesting experience. The Theory part was cool, it’s basically the classroom section of the course. We did that for roughly 2 weeks with instructor Janice and Gemma. Janice is the head teacher and is very knowledgeable. Janice has her BSN and is also the director for TLS so she will be able to educate you through your time being. Gemma is the other teacher and is a LVN and she does an awesome Job with teaching and always making us smile in class, very funny lady! Meelah the secretary for TLS and is also a humble person, she offered me a referral to a few jobs, thanks! The clinically part of the course, which was 2 weeks was kind of like WOW. We work at Los gatos terraces which is a long term facility and learned if this was really for me or not. Basically your working with a CNA and learning from her/​him. I really like working there because I met some really cool people as well as cared for them. Overall, our classmates were very fun to be with and you become pretty good friends with them. TLS is an awesome environment indoor & outdoor. There a fridge there so bring food if necessary, if not then there are tons of food nearby!

After doing lots of research I choose TLS for my CNA program. This place is great! Janice taught our class and she is a great instructor and a very caring person. Janice made sure that our class was totally prepared for the CNA state testing process. The entire staff at TLS are very knowledge and help you out in any way they can. After I completed the CNA program at TLS, I took other other courses there – HHA, RNA, and MMT programs. After completing these classes, TLS even assisted me in finding a job. I can’t thank them enough for all their assistance and support. Their classes changed my life!

I was looking for a place to renew my BLS and of course I found some places through the AHA. However, I asked my mom whether she knew other places and whatnot. She told me about TLS because someone went down to her work for recertification.
Anyway, I completely forgot that my CPR was going to expire by the end of this month. My mom was the one that called in and asked because I needed to talk to my friend since she needed to renew as well. They took me in the same day, which was very fortunate and lucky for me that they had a class that day because I don’t want to pay price for for a new certificate when I can just do the recert.
I had Janice and she’s very helpful and goes over it with you. She’s hands on. We watched the video and did the skills with and without the video. There was an exam after everything.
I was talking with one the girls that was in my class and she took the IV therapy course here. She told me that’s it’s really good and helpful so I’ll be checking into the IV therapy course here when I get my LVN license since it’s required. For the IV therapy, she told me that we get to poke each other with needles. Oh man! Scary but I’ll just have to wait and see.
It’s a lot cheaper here by $ 10 than the one on Winchester for cert and recert for BLS.
They offer Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Acute CNA, Home Health Aide, IV Therapy, Restorative Nursing Assistant, Medical Management, & Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for CNAs. Their Basic Life Support & Heart Saver courses are under the guidelines of American Heart Association.
