My daughter and her husband were stranded and we called these people. The ad said $ 39 and my husband verbally verified the price. He also described the exact situation the car was in. The dispatcher assured the $ 39 price. When the car arrived at our house 7 miles away she was told the bill would be $ 181. When asked why the price was more that 400% more than the quoted price, the dispatcher said it was $ 39 plus a freeway fee, plus a night fee, plus plus plus… False advertising company preying on people in a time of need. Shameful!
Also, to find the name of this business, I had to google the address on their web page as there is absolutely no mention of a business name anywhere on the ad or website. The website has the typical «follow us@» links at the bottom. All of them are broken!
I called them back on another number and they identified themselves as «services towing». I called the driver (great guy, gave us his card) and he told me they we’re called «tow411» their ad identifies them as «South Bay tow services». Boy am I gonna have fun with the BBB tomorrow! I might call and see what google and seven on your side think while I’m at it.
Also, very interesting how all of these reviews quote different base prices, service charges, etc.

The other comments about the pricing are accurate — it is too high for the service provided and the prices are set by the company, not the driver. $ 200 extra charge to have your car pulled out of a grassy area? $ 55 «service fee»? All on top of the $ 95 towing fee. It took 45 minutes from when he arrived to when he drove off… with $ 350 of my money.
When I called in, the lady asked where I was, and after I explained, she just said «ok» and hung up. No time estimate, no indication that a tow driver would actually be coming. Then the tow driver had to call me on his way over to get the location again because she didn’t give him the specifics.
No complaints with the driver — Doug was helpful above and beyond what was required and I felt very well taken care of.

I had a car lock out. They charged me 49 for a «service truck fee», and 75 for labor. It took less than 5 mins to open the car door, and was not at all complicated given their tools. I paid 125 to get my car unlocked for me! :/

Other towing services are in the $ 100 range with mileage. Apparently they think it’s OK to charge a extra $ 55 «service charge» for sending a truck!
If you’re in the Mountain View, area, user Bill’s towing on Leghorn. I had to tow it AGAIN that day and the bill was $ 100 for the same distance instead of $ 175.

THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY i HAVE EVER WORKED WITH FOR PRICE. If I could do ZERO STARS, I would but this system won’t let me.
I pay tow bills for an insurance company and this one is the WORST in terms of cost I have EVER SEEN! They charged $ 10 per mile for a tow ($ 160 in all) PLUS a service call of $ 49 PLUS a towing fee of $ 85. The grand total was $ 294 for a 16 mile round trip. Are you kidding me??? There are DOZENS of tow companies that will do this same thing for less than half. This wasn’t a car in the middle of nowhere — it was at a shopping mall!!! I have paid other claims to this company before and every single one of them was inflated and the people at Tik Tak Tow can never explain it other than to say «that is what we charge.» Well, no one else charges what they charge so please do not use them!!! Your insurance company will not cover the full bill!!!

Yes towing sucks and yes it is expensive. I don’t know what a normal price is for a tow, but at least the guy was super friendly and got me and my mother-in-law’s junked car to the pick-​and-​pull to salvage it before it closed.
When you call this place ask for Scooter. You can see he is mentioned in all the good review. There is a reason why. He treats you kindly on a day when you are not going to be in a good mood.
I will use them again if I need to, but I do recommend that you ask for the full price of what the tow will be before having them come out.
I thought I was quoted at $ 85 and it turned out to be 2x that. That is why it is missing a star. Normally I would be pissed about an extra $ 80, but I am not sure that I listened because it was already a pretty bad day I was having and this is only a small part of the overall bill that this car accident is going to cost.

Our van recently died on the 101 and we were not familiar with any towing companies. We simply searched and found Tiktak Towing. A man by the name of Scooter came to help us and he was a great guy who did a great job! He took us to a local car repair shop. Even though the towing bill was pretty pricey, it was still better than sitting on the freeway backing up traffic.

Excellent Service– Scooter is a true gem. My husband left his keys in the truck and I gave him mine to get to work in. I called TikTak Towing and the dispatch said they would be there within 30 minutes. Scooter arrived earlier than expected and was so wonderful, there are no words. He was able to jump start my husband’s truck and since I didn’t know how to drive a stick shift he spent a few minutes showing me how. He was even so nice to call me to make sure that I had arrived at my destination without incident. I am so grateful, Scooter made an unpleasant chore palatable. I definitely recommend this company. Make sure to ask for Scooter if he’s available.

My recent experience with Tik Tak Towing is quite good.
My car broke down in some busy weekday morning, then roadside assistance called up Tik Tak for towing service. The driver – Scooter was very responsive and knowledgeable about handing the situation. He got back to me within 20 min and offered a very pleasant drive back to the nearest dealership.
I would definitely recommend this company for its towing service.

A couple of months ago my car broke down and needed to be towed down the street to a mechanic shop. It was only 1 or 2 miles away, so I figured the bill would be $ 30 to $ 50. Unfortunately, we didn’t notice the amount on the bill when we gave Tiktak Towing his credit card. We were shocked when we looked at the receipt later. Nearly $ 145! We could have PUSHED the car this distance! Calling Tiktak wasn’t much help. Too bad we didn’t see the ratings on Unilocal beforehand.

This is my first and hopefully only BAD review on Unilocal…
We needed emergency towing recently and in the craziness of the situation, my husband paid Tik Tak Towing’s bill without looking at the charge. When I saw the receipt I thought it had to be a mistake: $ 144.00 for a simple tow of a passenger car from a parking lot on Cottle Road to a repair shop on Cottle Road – a mile and a half! There was also a suspicious service charge of $ 35 scribbled out to read $ 45. I called their office to check on this and was told to call the manager, but could never reach him.

THIS COMPANY IS A TOTAL SCAM! I cannot stress this enough, DO NOT USE TIK TAK TOWING! Read all of the other reviews carefully. It doesn’t matter what «service» you are calling them for, they will lie to you and cheat you.
They quoted me $ 45-​$ 85 for a tow of my motorcycle depending on mileage. I agreed and then they came out to get the bike. Once they were done they told me it would be $ 130! Huh? Am I missing something? Is $ 45-​$ 85 equal to $ 130? I asked why the price was not what they quoted me on the phone and they told me there is a $ 39 «service call fee!» What in the world? I was not told anything about this over the phone. They also told me it was 15 miles to the repair shop and argued with me when I told them it was only 6! When I asked which route they took they wouldn’t tell me. SHADY. So I pulled up Maps and showed them all three routes to the shop and the longest was 7.2 miles with the shortest being just under 6 miles.
Tik Tak Towing is a complete scam job. They bait you and once they have you in a horrible situation they more than double the price! I would push my car myself or CARRY my motorcycle before calling them again. I would not recommend Tik Tak Towing to my worst enemy. Save yourself a whole lot of grief and go with a company that has at least a TINY bit of integrity. I can’t believe they are allowed to stay in business, this is flat out theft.

Tik tak towing services start at $ 95 towing charge, + about 3 $ per mile + they charge for extra person who drives with them and also %5 tax. Not even close to $ 80.

I don’t know what the deal is with all the negative reviews on this site but I had a great experience. A friend of mine hooked me up with David from Tik Tak Towing because I needed a car towed form office to a mechanic because there were some gasket problems.
David came out, hooked me up to his truck drove me and my car to the mechanic, all without telling me the cost yet so naturally I got a little nervous but I was more concerned with the mechanic raping me.
He charge me $ 80.00 for my tow. I mean, it’s not homie prices but I believe any tow that isn’t covered by a roadside assistance plan or by your insurance provider but is still less than $ 125.00 is a good tow.
I don’t know if any of you have ever had your vehicle towed by your apartment complext or when you were parked in a private parking lot that had signs reading «24 HOUR TOWING» but if so, then you’re fully aware that a tow lock that could and would cost you an upward $ 300+.
Anyone complaining about a tow that cost them less than $ 200 should do their best to be sure their car is never in need of a towing.

DO NOT EVER use this TIKTAK TOWING! Worst service ever… the Tow Truck drive reversed into my front headlamp. He did not even look like he knew how to drive.
Then I come to find out they DO NOT HAVE INSURANCE! The driver looked like he does drugs and some over weight lady was just sitting in the tow truck when she probably could have directed the driver.
I HOPE THEY LOSE THEIR LICENSE.

$ 150 for jump start!
Needed a jump start and was referred to this company through AAA since AAA doesn’t do service unless you are a member. The dispatcher at Tik Tak made it clear that we understood the pricing (so that we could pay in cash of course) and told me it was $ 55 non-​refundable for the service fee (took my credit card info as collateral) plus $ 40-​$ 85 depending on how complicated the jump start is. It was late and cold, so we agreed. The guy who came out literally jumped the car in less than a minute! He then charged us $ 150, $ 55 for the service fee and $ 95 for the jump start. How did this end up being even higher than the high end of the initially quoted price? Wasn’t going to start arguing with the guy in a dark parking lot; so we paid. The guy wasn’t friendly but he got to us in decent time — this would have been an okay experience if we didn’t get bait and switched like that.
Bottom line, call a friend for help before you call Tiktak.

Was serviced by this tow company 8÷1÷11 at 3:00am after I ran out of gas and was completely unsatisfied. The technician operating the truck had no idea what to charge me and couldn’t get a hold of any type of supervisor or manager and therefore made up his own «payment» plan for me. After much debate and tired arguing on the side of the highway I paid my $ 156 dollars for 2 gallons of gas and left.
DO NOT USE TIK TAK TOWING! This company is disgustingly horrible and has no business calling them selves a company. Unprofessional fools who just price gouge or make up a price to charge you.
I should never have authorized a payment with them.
