Food reminds me of local Taiwanese snacks. Very nice service. Will definitely come back.

Came for boba. More like 3.5 stars Got a regular Hojicha milk tea with pearls with 30% sweetness but was still pretty sweet in my case. Not too bad but not a place I would go out of my way to come to. I do want to come for the food since many reviews enjoyed the food.

Came here since it was close to my work and because reviews were good for it. When I got here, around noon, the line was out the door. And it turned out to move reaaallllyyy slow. Anyway, I ordered the black milk tea with boba. It was decent… you can taste the tea but it was a little bit too sweet and artificial tasting for me. I got it regular sweet so maybe if I had gotten it 50% sweet, it might’ve been better. Fantasia is about a mile away though so I probably won’t be back here.

Teanado is a very special sort of place! It is very small, but the servers are very friendly, and the food seems fairly authentically Taiwanese(although I am not an expert; all I know is that it is not the typical Americanized fare). I was impressed by the long list of flavors of boba tea I could order! And the tea as well as the food tasted great! Some of the teas have varying levels of sweetness you could order, and for the food, the restaurant had shakers of chili powder to customize spice! Teanado is truly unlike other restaurants in the area, and I would love to go again and try more of their offerings!

Can’t believe how crowded this place gets! It used be one of my company’s favorite place for Japanese bento and now it has turned into a Taiwanese fast food joint. It’s hard to compare the taste or quality of a small café-size place with a typical restaurant. The focus here is naturally on drinks and some snack-like foods with Taiwanese flavors. I got a egg pancake with ham and corn soup. The roll-up pancakes are usually eaten in Taiwan for breakfast or as a late night snack. It is bit of a novelty here. Taste is decent but not much wow-factor. Advice is to come here early. We got here at 11:45am and the place became quickly jam-packed with patrons.

Teanado is great. We are staying at the plaza suites hotel and this was the best food option we could find in walking distance. We weren’t disappointed. Service: 5⁄5. Nicest people in the world. Super helpful and generous. We left with a smile. Tea: 4⁄5. The green tea is strong! Very strong. With some sugar and milk it was good, but perhaps we are too weak to drink it straight up… Food: 4⁄5. Tasty bento boxes and popcorn chicken. Vegetables were fresh and tasty, and the meat was good, maybe a little too fried. Great portion sizes. Price: 4⁄5. Good but not cheap! All in all, would strongly recommend.

Delicious, authentic Taiwanese style popcorn chicken! Love at first bite. The bento box portion is decent and pretty filling. Milk tea was pretty good as well — really like how qq(chewy) their boba is.

3.5 4 stars or the bento boxes, 3 stars for the boba milk tea. The bento boxes are GREAT. I loved my popcorn chicken bento — even the sides were done pretty well. The rice for some reason was crazy delicious(maybe because at home I’m used to eating healthier brown rice so sticky, white rice just taste so much better). The stir fried cabbage was not bad and I liked the sweet and sour of the cucumber salad(think pickled cucumber). There were bits of their ground pork in the rice which was definitely appreciated. It’s nice to get a soy sauce egg too. My husband ordered their beef stew bento and the beef tasted kind of like Japanese style gyu-don — beef and onions in a sweet, soy based sauce. I had a taste and would probably like to order it for myself another time. A great deal for a filling bento box meal. I’ve read that their milk teas are a bit lack luster so I ordered a coconut milk tea — something kind of safe and hopefully foolproof. I thought my tea was decent — not spectacular but not bad. Kind of like the same coconut milk tea you would get at Quickly or any other run of the mill chain. But my husband got chocolate milk tea and it was pretty blech. They don’t even use real chocolate or at least cocoa poweder. He saw them pour in Hershey’s chocolate syrup. If you don’t know Hershey’s chocolate FLAVORED syrup — meaning it’s made with high fructose corn syrup and cocoa. Not a hint of actual real chocolate. That was definitely not worth drinking. I finished my drink but neither of us wanted to finish his. I’ll be back for more bento boxes!

Nice little Taiwanese quick eats spot in an assuming business complex. The Taiwan burger was delicious and juicy, however the fried appetizer squid ball was mediocre at best. This place is extremely affordable and every item on the menu is less than 10 dollars, I had to buy 4 items to meet the 15 dollar minimum credit card spend.

One of my TOPTWO tea places(the other is Gong Cha)!! Love their extensive menu, but I get one drink here and that’s the Hojicha Milk Tea– AMAZING! They have mastered this roasted green tea that I cannot get anywhere else. I get super excited whenever I see tea places have Hojicha, but always get disappointed after I compare it to Teanado’s :) Haven’t tried any food here besides the popcorn chicken, which I always get alongside my tea. The chicken is a little on the sweet side but after I pack it with the red cayenne pepper and«popcorn chicken powder,» it’s delicious. The only thing I hate is the location– super far from me and located in a random business area in Sunnyvale. When I first tried this place I was afraid they would close due to poor location, but I’m glad to see a lot of customers when I visit on Saturdays!

The tea selection here is pretty long. I was a little skeptical that a regular milk tea wasn’t on their top tens. I tried it anyway, it was alright. Now I know why it’s not on their top 10… I guess I have to give the other teas another shot… The food smells good though, and I’ll probably be back.

Pretty good. Ordered their green tea w/fresh milk. For some odd reason, the tea appeared pink(no idea why). Drink was pretty tasty. I liked how it wasn’t super creamy like most places. Their popcorn chicken wasn’t too bad either, just a little on the salty side. I would like to try their burger next time! Looks delicious on pictures.

Yum! This is my go-to place for that scrumptious and hearty Taiwanese bento boxes. I had the crispy chicken bento box — Served with the accompaniments of soya egg, veggies, pickles and ground pork. It was another hefty set that leaves me full and satisfied. On top of that, prices were cheap, $ 8.95, for each set that includes 3 vegetables and 1 meat– it was certainly value for the money! Besides bento sets, they also offer affordable Taiwanese sides as snacks or appetizers; such as Taiwanese burger, deep fried salty goodness and so on. I particularly favored this simple plate of egg rolls. The crispy pancakes blanket the ham, egg and drizzled with honey; savory and sweet, so addictive! My only gripe is their boba sucks! But no biggie, I would just go elsewhere for my boba fix. Overall, I really adore this place and I think, I’ve found a new fave for that greasy but yummy bento… uh oh. Tip: $ 15 min. for credit cards use.

Came here for the first time and as my first taste of this place, I would say it’s a great place to get a quick snack or drink. I ordered a fair amount of items. I ordered a Taiwanese sausage bento, popcorn chicken and a Jasmine Green Milk tea(with Boba and less sugar). –The Bento had a lot to it, the Taiwanese sausages tasted very good, but the rice was a bit dry and the sides were a bit boring(plain corn, daikon/carrots and cabbage with meat sauce on top) I feel like there should be something with the corn. –The Popcorn Chicken was perfect, not overly battered and tasted great! –As for the Jasmine Milk Tea, even though I asked for less sugar, it was still pretty sweet. The boba was pretty good, but some of it was overcooked. . Overall l, the meal was satisfactory, the place itself is small and cozy, there are also seats outside. Plenty of parking in the back, oh and the front door is also in the back. I would definetly come back to this place if I was in the area.

We decided to check out this tea place since it got decent reviews. Teanado it located in a plaza with plenty of parking. We walked in and took a look at their long list of beverages. Decided to go with their peach tea. I asked what the difference between the black and green tea in regards to the taste and the cashier told me they were different. Uhh thanks for the information! Then I asked if the sweetness level impacted the level of tartness of the drink. The cashier replied with«do you want 50% or 30% or 0% sweetness». Thanks again for answering my question… Anyways my peach drink was was not very flavorful. I could barely taste the peach flavor. My BIL said his taro drink was bland. Perhaps their food is better? I don’t know but I will not be back for their drinks.

I would say this place is actually more of a 3.5 star rating, but its close proximity to my work helps me round them up :) PROS –lots of flavors to chose from if you’re a fan of the flavored milk teas(cantaloupe, banana, pomegranate, watermelon, etc) –frequent buyer card :) –reasonable prices –offers daily free samples(although these samples are usually for one of their flavored drinks, i.e. cantaloupe –pretty fast service CONS –that ridiculous minimum spending requirement for credit cards, a popular play used by many of these type of venues –relatively small area; ive never seen a table available. –They dont really have anything about them that makes them stand out. Something to think about especially as there are so many«specialty» milk tea places in the area.

On a warm Tuesday, my friend who works in Sunnyvale suggested a lunch date at Teanado. Taiwanese bento? Cute hamster? A tornado made of tea??! I was sold. There were a few other customers at the time of arrival, but the service at the register was quite quick. A little brusque, but efficient. For him: the fried chicken bento with mango milk tea. For me: the pork chop bento with thai tea. The drinks are acceptable and refreshing, but having guzzled gallons of boba in my lifetime(that sounds more impressive after typing it out), I was not particularly impressed. The food however, was what I was pleasantly surprised by. A cute bento with veggie sides, a hard boiled egg, and a bed of rice topped with saucy minced pork and your protein of choice. Both the chicken and the pork chop were crisp yet juicy. I appreciated the saucy pork that helped flavor and moisten the rice. I typically do not eat very much rice in one sitting, so my friend was even surprised I had eaten so much here. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Some of the prepared veggies have unique flavors to them which I wasn’t accustomed to, but overall it was solid. I can’t describe or deny the draw that Teanado has on me, for whatever reason. Maybe it’s the homey-ness of the food. Maybe it’s the to-the-point service(«poor» service doesn’t turn me off; I’m well acquainted with Bay Area Vietnamese restaurants lol). Maybe it’s the saucy porky salty rice. Maybe it’s the chubby cheeked hamster that reminds me of myself. I’m intrigued by the boba beer and the Taiwanese burger. Very likely, I’ll you next time I’m in Sunnyvale, Teanado!

Excellent service, nice and quick. I ordered two Boba teas and Taiwanese pork chop lunch box. I was curious about the aloe bubbles and the cashier immediately offered me a sample to try before I decided. I really enjoyed them and got them in my chrysanthemum milk tea. I got the order to go and I had it in my hands within five minutes. Prices are reasonable and the teas are a good deal. The tea was great and I really enjoyed the lunch box. It was a boneless pork chop with 3 sides and half an egg. In true Taiwanese fashion, they put some minced pork sauce on your lunch rice, the minced pork sauce 肉燥 was very good, tasting on par with Tainan cuisine. Reminded me of home. :) Definitely a great lunch place to stop at if you work in the area.

It’s tucked away in a business plaza. There wasn’t anyone here on a Friday night except us. The entry area has music but the dining area is dead silent. It makes eating to be very quiet. Any squeak of a chair or chewing of food can easily be heard throughout the entire room. The service is great and they do more than enough to accommodate your needs. The Taiwan burger basically is a fun tasting patty with an egg, lettuce, tomatoes, and sesame seed bun. It looks like an ordinary American burger made with more of an Asian taste. The popcorn chicken was good. The batter was the right amount and there was plenty of meat. It’s served in a smaller boxed container. They don’t provide any sauce with it but there’s chili or «popcorn chicken» seasoning you can request to sprinkle more sodium than what there already is. The beer tea that makes this menu more unique is Budweiser mixed with green tea. It tastes better than it sounds, and results in a nice sparkling beverage. Nothing about the menu is memorable, but every item we ordered was satisfying.
