Relaxing Foot Spa

Holy hell these people are strong. Came in for a full body massage and they got me in right away. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for longer term pain relief. They did an awesome job on my neck and shoulders but I had to bite my teeth a few times despite the ‘medium’ pressure. I think if you ask for strong they just run a bulldozer over you.

Called ahead for a for a foot massage the other night and it was a decent experience.
Relaxing Foot Spa has been a mixed experience, depending on the masseuse…
$ 20 service starts off with a warm foot bath while the masseuse does a face, scalp, arm, and shoulder massage for ~10−15 minutes. The foot and leg massage takes a good 30 minutes and the last 15 minutes is a rather thorough back massage, all done while fully clothed in a large communal room.
Credit cards are accepted and it appears that they prefer cash for tips.
They have combo cards where you get 12 massages for the price of $ 200.

This review is for the in-​chair foot massage only.
I have been here numerous times and the foot massage here is very good. They always know just where to apply pressure on my feet to make them feel better. I have been to a few other foot places, but this is the best I have found. All the staff I have had was very good, but Emily does the best job for my particular feet.
Why do I think this place is better than others I have been to?
— You are not laying flat when your feet are soaking, so it does not hurt your back, then the chairs recline when it is time for them to do the work.
— They put out a large clean pad for your face when you are laying face down, where some places just have a thin tissue.
— The staff seems to really be in-​tune with the massage and not just wishing they were some where else.
$ 20 (plus a big well deserved tip) and my feet are in heaven! Well worth it.
My only complaint is you are in a large common room with the other customers but that seems to be true with all these places.

Worst massage experience ever, felt like me skin was gonna be rubbed off… Neck hurts more afterwards: (would give 0 star

Having previously had a memorably bad experience at one of these cheap foot massage places (someone massaged by bone and I was in pain for days), I came prepared. Yep, the thickest pants, a shirt, and a sweatshirt with hood.
I called to make an «appointment» beforehand, but it isn’t much of an appointment when they don’t even ask for your name.
Oh man, it’s a good thing I didn’t get a man. And, preparation pays off because even this woman’s massage was hard.
I can’t say the technique was the best to get out knots — more a rubbing, poking, and elbowing. Different parts of the massage were of varying amounts of help. The foot massage was probably a highlight and actually relaxing, the shoulder massage when lying on my back was nice, the face and arm massage… not so much. And you can tell the lack of technique when you are lying on your front and the massage is… I can’t even describe, but it just wasn’t right.
I have no clue how people actually fell asleep; I heard loud snoring. I certainly was not even close to asleep.
From my workouts, I’m always very tight and sore. I can’t say this massage reduced that much tension.
Set-​Up: Everyone is lying in the same room on an adjustable mattress type thing, as opposed to the massage chairs some places use.
Payment: As promised, it was a clean $ 20 and there was no pressure to tip a certain amount. Also, they take card — a rarity at these sorts of places.
Anyway, can I say I’d return? Well, was I more relaxed after — eh. Was it a good massage — not even close to the best for getting out knots or tension. Did it soothe my muscles — maybe a little. Probably won’t return. A $ 20 gamble — for the price of a yoga class, had to try it.

TERRIBLE for lots of reasons.
First I asked for two women because the reviews said that the women do a better job. They said yes, no problem, but when we arrived I got a woman but my friend got a man. Fine.
The lady that did my massage was also working the desk so she would stop in the middle of the massage to answer the phone or talk to people that walked in. She did his a minimum of 5 times. Not relaxing.
The massage itself was way too rough. I usually like more pressure, but It was like she was trying to make up for walking away by rubbing my skin raw way too hard and way too fast. Again, not relaxing.
They didn’t even put down new towels when we were done. They just straightened out the old ones. Ew… I hope they clean the water buckets at least.
I’ve been to a lot of these places trying to live up to the standards I had for the place I went to in LA. This one was by far the worst.

I love foot spas and am not super picky as long as they don’t hurt me. This was ridiculous. First of all, I asked for a female. .I got a man. He was so rough, I had bruises. The place was a giant room crammed with beds and no room for even my purse. I know these places are not private but this one was taking it to a new level. The woman at the front desk was sooooo loud. This was the most awkward, painful, frustrating massage I have ever had.

I did not appreciate being asked if I had paid a cash tip to the person who gave me a massage as I was paying the bill. A tip is voluntary to show appreciation of a job well done. I will pay a tip if I think one is earned. I think it was very unprofessional to ask me to tip. The massage was not very good and did not warrant a tip, however I did give a tip. There are many places that are better to go to don’t go here !!!

Underwhelming. Reviews made it seem amazing but the masseuse didn’t seem to have a method to her routine — felt like she was just rubbing whatever was convenient till the hour was up, especially at the end. Long pauses during massage while she went to get hot towels and hot water. I don’t think I will be returning.

The first time I went here, I enjoyed it. I thought the back massage was a bit hard, but I felt mostly relaxed after. The second time was different unfortunately. The back massage was so intense that I have bruises on my back and my spine is sore. I’m a big guy, and I like a good deep tissue massage, but not this. Additionally, I seem to have picked up a virus, most likely from there as I haven’t been to any other establishment in the preceding or following days, and I’m single with no kids.
The staff here is very friendly and I really think the lady was trying hard. Unfortunately, it was way too hard.
The foot massages and head massages are great and appropriate strength is used.

Did the job to help with the tightened neck and shoulders! Chairs were comfy for foot massage. Only thing I would point out was the sounds you hear from the door staying open, so it throws off the relaxation setting with sounds of cars, alarm and folks talking. Massage was on point. Male therapist are definitely stronger if you like deep tissue. My gal pal that joined me had a female therapist and thoroughly enjoyed her massage too. So good that we heard several other customers snoring too! Come try.

The massage from the men either wu or David are very good. Stronger than the women. Completely fixed my neck pain from computer programming. The place is packed with people; you can hear people snoring as they fall asleep because the foot massage relaxes them so much. The body massage works in the back, neck, head, legs.‘c and arms
Wu does neck massage where he puts one hand under neck then massages between vertebrae on other side. Can hear cracking. Neck and back very relaxed. Best 1 hr massage in South Bay. Helps sleep.

2 this place is cheap. So very cheap, read on…
we’ve been here a couple of times, my wife and I, and have had a decent time in the past.

this place is for you IF:
you don’t like them to use much lotion on you when you are getting massaged. when i say not much i mean one squirt. so little in fact when she was massing my calfs it felt like she was ripping out every little hair on my legs. (more lotion please, you would have thought they were rationing it)
these people are not licensed massage therapists. I suppose you get what you pay for but the second you get hurt (and its bound to happen) you will have no recourse. there is a difference between massaging muscles and grabbing skin and pinching it.
lastly, a massage is supposed to be relaxing. NOT HERE. I’m more tense walking out than when i walked in.
do yourself a favor, find a different place. go to someone who knows the human body and can give a good therapeutic massage, your body will thank you for it.

The $ 20 foot massage as someone had mentioned earlier: ‘you get what you pay for’ is apt. This is not a traditional massage you would get from a certified Chinese professional but the 20 is definitely worth the foot soak and the amateur massage you get. I got carried away and tried the full body massage. Now, this is an absolute waste of money because there is not really any deep tissue massage or finesse in it. The masseuse applies a lot of bare force on the back and does not really focus on it with fingers as such. This went on for 15 mins same stroke motions on one side till the skin started feeling burnt. She never even bothered doing the thighs or frontal calves. It felt like she was looking at the clock the whole time and kept burning the back with the forearm strokes!
Overall: ⁷⁄₁₀ for $ 20 massage and ³⁄₁₀ for the full body. And yes, they do show a great deal of disappointment at the front desk when you don’t tip them well. I don’t think they understand that Tip comes when the customer feels happy that the money spent was well spent and the service above and beyond.

A typical Chinese foot massage experience. You’re in a communal room, which means it can be quite noisy. During my massage, the two people next to me fell asleep and were snoring up a storm, which the employees did nothing to stop. The employees were also whispering amongst themselves.
My own masseuse was rather heavy handed, but his overall technique was fine.
At $ 19.99/hour, you get what you pay for.

This place is awesome! The atmosphere is dark with comfortable large cushioned massage seats and private rooms with clean sheets.
Today I got a massage by Tom. He is thorough, patient, well trained, and has the distance to keep going. They do stuff a bit different here compared to Dynasty in Cupertino. I got the full body massage for $ 39.
First I was laying prone position with my arms out and legs straight back. He then started focusing on my back, shoulders, spine, upper body, then did my calves & feet. It started to hurt a lot as he started massaging my shoulder blades and my neck. He kept digging in and kept focusing on it. I honestly started to bite down because it was too hard. I let it go anyway because I wanted to leave soar and I did. I really wished he worked on my feet more and the sides of my buttocks. Those felt the best.
Overall, I really did like this place a lot. The comfy vibe and well trained employees. They are straight to the point and they don’t lag and have side convos. They also aren’t rude here; they didn’t demand tip, they understand english far more better than Dynasty, and they have far more employees to help with the ratio.
I want to come back but this time only for their foot massage for $ 19. I’m so curious to have it done! maybe because I’d be sitting in the large chair and watching tv lol

THe pricing is great and these guys know how to get all the kinks out! They always hit the right spot with all my knots! And you get so much bang for the buck here! Better than paying Massage Envy for doing an «okay» job.

I like this place… so long as it’s a woman who is massaging me. The women are all really, really good. Very thorough, they know what they’re doing. But the guys… no offense to them, they are also very nice. But neither of the two men I have gotten foot massages from seem to really know what they were doing.
Besides that, it’s a nice place. Quiet, well kept, clean.

Everytime I walk into one of these places I have the same repeating thought: Please don’t hurt me. More often then not, I walk out in more pain than I had walking in. But not here!
My masseuse here, Jason, seemed like he was actually trained. He used the right amount of pressure and seemed like he knew where I was hurting. Amazing. Here are my notes:
* Head massage — loved it. Hits the pressure points, and ladies, they WILL wipe off all your eye makeup and ruin your hair style, so don’t expect to look cute afterwards.
* Arm/​hand massage — loved it. You never realize how achy your hands are until someone massages them.
* Leg /​feet — very good. Works on the toes as well and stretches your legs out which was nice.
* Back — my favorite. He didn’t use his thumbs to dig into my back, which I appreciated, but used his forearm to work out the kinks which was so awesome.
* Tip, yes it’s true what they say, there is an unsaid, (sometimes said from the reviews I’ve read) courtesy rule that the tip should be a certain amount. Usually it’s about $ 10, which I know is 50% of the cost, but give them a break, it’s pretty physically intensive work for a whole hour. I really doubt these workers are getting paid even minimum wage. A $ 30 massage is still not a bad deal, IF it’s a good one.

Boss lady Sue K treated her minions to a foot massage treat. She made an appointment and they took us as soon as we arrived. When I laid down, my masseus was a man, somewhere in between my head and my lower back, he switched into a woman as next thing I know, I’m being massaged by lady hands. She had really good pressure (I like my massages deep tissue) but it went from a big hammer to a small hammer if you know what I mean.
I left out feeling like a wet noodle.
