KM2A Martial Arts & After School

I will never take my child here again! Master kim is the worst! He embarrassed my son and yelled at him at the top of his lungs in front of everyone (even the parents were watching) just because he didn’t put his belt on before class he also pushed his face because he didnt do a move right. My son would cry historically every time I would take him to class and I never knew why but it was because he was scared to tell me what happened and cause he was scared of master kim. Ive seen how he has treated the other students and making them cry and its horrible I dont understand why the parents continue to take their kids. I would NOT recommend ANYONE to take their kids here unless ur ok with them being humiliated and yelled at in front of the class and other parents

We did not have a good experience. My 13 year old daughter was humiliated by Mr. Kim. His unwanted physical touching was addressed at a meeting and he agreed to apologize to her. Instead he called her a lier in front of the class after he already admitted to putting his hands on her at our meeting. Their billing is hand scratched notes on a sticky pad without explanation. Very expensive and no recourse if you don’t like what they provide. Not set up for older children and touching my daughter without her permission is a definite no-​no. I gave them the opportunity to make it right and Mr. and Mrs. Kim just made it worse.

Our two sons have been going to KM2A for over a year, since September 2013. We chose KM2A because:
1. They are close to our home and they pick up our kids from school
2. Solid academic tutoring, grade appropriate
3. The Tae Kwon Do instruction.
Since going to KM2A, our oldest son has been doing very well in school, he is above grade level in all major areas. In Tae Kwon Do, he has passed every belt test the first time. We attribute this to the instruction of Grand Master Kim, Junior Master Kim and their various instructional assistants.
Grand Master and Mrs. Kim along with Junior Master Kim knows each child by name and their skills.
Our kids had their first summer camp with KM2A and they loved it! Every morning they looked forward to going. We liked the fact that the grade appropriate tutoring continued through the summer which helped prevent the summer «brain drain».
Our youngest son significantly improved his handwriting skills during summer camp.
Lastly, every so often we ask our boys if they like KM2A or would rather attend a different after school program. They have always told us that they like KM2A and they want to stay with KM2A.

I went here as a child and I just had to leave this review… this place was awful! The teacher was so mean and awful. I am so happy I gave martial arts a second chance because if I did not then I would have never fallen in love with Shotokan karate.

My son has been going to KM2a for two years and he loves it. He loves the structure and challenge in the martial arts training. I love the emphasis they place on self-​confidence and independence. The extra tutoring really helps too! It’s so nice knowing that when I pick him up after work, his homework is done and he’s gotten some great exercise. It’s like his home away from home now.
