I got a pedicure and full set of acrylic nails and was very pleased with outcome. I will return and I recommend this salon and Mylee did a very nice job.

It’s always hard to move to a new area and have to find new services. When I moved to the Bay Area, I went to countless nail salons in SJ, Sunnyvale, Mountain view, Menlo park, etc. and always left unsatisfied. I found Serenity Nails on Unilocal and decided to try it after reading the reviews. I’ve gone 4 times now, and I never want to go to another salon. They are professional and genuinely care about me loving my nails when they are complete. They constantly ask me if I like the shape or the length throughout the visit, which makes it easy to speak up if there’s anything I’m not set on. I would absolutely recommend this salon for anyone looking for a great fresh set of nails!

Unfriendly to new customers. Poor customer service. Not confident they use sterile nail tools. Not savvy with scheduled appointment. Poor communicators.
I called ahead of time to schedule a mani and pedi. They staggered my appointment doing pedi then planned to do mani without asking me. I had a hard stop and had already been there for an hour and observed them providing preferential treatment to a return customer, which was disappointing. I ended up leaving after my pedicure. If I stayed, I would have been there for likely close to two hours. with already experiencing unfriendly service, I decided to not go through with getting my mani after the pedi. I explained why to the spa manager (had already been there for an hour and didn’t expect the services to take close to 2 hours) and instead of apologizing to me, she commented that I should have been clearer with her when I called to schedule my appointment. OK fine (duly noted to a certain extent), however she then went on to still charge me what felt like a random amount (diff amount than on their pricing menu). I had to then ask how she derived the total. Poor form!

Yes, a guy here doing a review on a nail salon. I had a fantastic pedicure with Trish today. Very friendly and a great pedicure too. She took her time to make everything perfect. I will be back!

I have been going to Trish for weeks at this salon and she is great! I get a gel manicure and she does a great job. She takes her time and the polish lasts so much better than I’ve gotten at other places, where the top of the polish starts to peel off, hers stays really well and lasts if I need to to for a few extra days.
The atmosphere is good, clean, the girls are all really nice, and I can almost always get in when I need to. They have good selection for colors and are good with creative ideas as well. I always call before to make an appointment and to make sure they’re not too busy and they are always ready for me when I get there.
I go here all the time and would definitely recommend it to others.

I found this place after my regular salon got someone new to do acrylics and they tore up my cuticles and made them bleed.
Love this place. I have been coming for a while, and the quality is very consistent. It’s near my work, so very convenient. I always get an acrylic fill, and gel on the top, and I ALWAYS get compliments on my nails.
For those who complain about not getting accommodated at the last minute, I will say that Tiffany does not take a customer if she does not believe she will be able to do a quality job. It’s always a good idea to call ahead and see if they have time. She won’t try to squeeze you in between people and rush the job and sacrifice quality.
I also get my lip and eyebrows waxed, and they always do a good job on that, too. For some reason, I don’t get acne after I get my lip wax here, as I do in other places– I don’t know if that is due to the materials they use, or just coincidence.
Pedicures are clean, hygenic, and good quality– I never get extended massages or parafin wax at any salon, because I haven’t found it worth the money. If I want a massage, I’ll go to a spa.
Overall, a good consistent place to get your nails done– call ahead.

Walk in on a Monday night. Tiffany helped me decide to simply do a shellac mani. As I do have fingertip length nails of my own. Loved it. Great job. Thanks.

Serenity nails is a great place to get your nails done. Tiffany is very friendly, efficient and pays very close attention to detail. I always have no problem getting an appointment, even when calling a couple hours before. I will definitely be getting my nails done here every 3 weeks or so. Also, very convenient parking.

Great place to get your nails done. Clean, friendly workers and a wide selection of Opi polish although I did notice that there were a few that were running low. The girls do a good job with pedicures. The deluxe pedi with the paraffin wax is nice at $ 25. The paraffin wax is a bit too hot for me but it does feel good after.
Tips– They take credit cards too however it’s cash only for tips.
The place is also a little difficult to find. There’s a parking lot with a sign on the building so you know where it’s at. You’ll need to walk all the way through to the inside of the plaza to find it.

This is a bit over due. I’ve visited Serenity Nail Studio 5 or 6 times since June. They are all exceptional!
From my very first experience, they wow’d me! My husband called at about 530pm wanting to schedule an appointment for my sister and I later that evening. They were able to fit us in at 7pm. After we got there, the owner and her sister took care of us as if we had been going there for a while. Instead of rushing us out around the time that they closed, which was 8pm, they did everything they needed to ensure the job was done right. We were there well past closing, but they didn’t mind.
Every visit since I’ve had similar experiences. They have always been very accomodating and they take pride in making sure they do the job right. The salon is nice and clean. Don’t forget to bring cash for tip! I can guarantee that I’ll be a long time customer since their operating hours are a lot longer than most and everyone there wants to take care of you! They’re even open on Sundays!

I love this nail salon! Every time I get my nails done here I get a million compliments. Word of advice is to book an appointment and bring cash as they do not accept tip on card. Overall, they are clean, friendly and have a great selection of shellac nail polishes.

She did a wonderful job I totally forget her name. All the ladies in there are very nice and welcoming. Complete relaxation

I wouldn’t even give them 1 star if I could.
I walked in on Sunday afternoon at 5:20. The lady (her name is Tiffany) asks what I want with an attitude and I tell her color changes on both my toes and nails. She then tells me they don’t have time to do shellac on my nails.
Confused, I ask her how long it takes and she says 30 – 35 min so then I look at her and confirm what time they close. She’s responds 6pm but that she has another customer that has already started mind you. Really?
I would be ok with this if she didn’t have the worst attitude about it and kept saying. We don’t have time for what you want.
She then proceeds to do my toes and I told her I won’t need my nails done but trust me, I won’t be coming here again.

I came here on a whim as I was in the area and their reviews seemed solid (although I do see a few low ratings after my visit). I thought the lady I had did a solid job, the place looked clean and it was brightly lit. I went mid-​week in the middle of the day so of course, there wasn’t a problem walking in. No complaints here!

Definitely a no. Let me share my experience:
I was a walk in (no appointment).about 10:10am on Sunday. I told the lady I wanted gel nails… she barely looked at me and said… you have to come back later this afternoon –we don’t have time to do that right now. I looked around and there were two other techs and two customers being serviced. No one was waiting.
So I left. As I walked around the corner to my apartment I decided to call… it’s like 10:15 now. The lady answers the phone and basically tells me I can come in anytime after 10:45. I make an appointment at 10:45…wow.
So I’m not sure why the lady at the front would:
1. Turn away a paying customer (aren’t you in the business of making money??)
2. Not inform me that I could wait 30 min or so for an appointment
This place does not care about the primary purpose of a business– which is to increase their bottom line… make money. Nor do they seem to care about building relationships with paying customers — I mean nail shops come a dime a dozen. I can literally walk around the corner and go to another. Why wouldn’t you want business?
I was not rude to the lady and even upon her telling me «she didn’t have time for that» I said thank you.
When I called to cancel, I said:
«Hello I have a 10:45 appt that I would like to cancel»
She responded: «okay that’s fine, bye»
I sincerely hope this is a legit business and not a front for other activity. I read a few other negative reviews on Unilocal and their experience is eerily similar to mine. I just wonder how many others don’t have Unilocal and didn’t communicate their negative experience? The owner seems to want to bully the people with negative reviews… I am waiting her response to this review. :-)
I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and a few other agencies to investigate further. Something is not right here.

This place is awesome, both sisters Tiffany & Trish do a great job in gel French tips, their other services are great too. I highly recommend it.

I came here a week ago as a walk in for a pedicure and manicure. French tips, Gel polish for both and it was good. But im only giving it 2 starts because it’s only 1 wk and the tops of my polish on my nails are chipping off (near my cuticles) so many things get caught esp my hair. Usually when I get my nails done with gel, it lasts longer than 1 wk and the tips are showing cracks as well.

Yeah, no. Four days after the work, and the paint is separating from itself in layers (topcoat peeling off in places, leaving the paint behind), and from my finger and toenails in sheets.
It looks worse than if I had used a q-​tip and $ 0.99 polish from the expired bins at Wal-​Mart. I will not be returning here.

I came here on my lunch hour after finding them on Unilocal.Such a clean, inviting place. The lady that did my toes was Anna… she was sooooo very nice and her foot and leg massage was outstanding. I dont normally get my feet done in Sunnyvale or on my lunch hour, I was just desperate before a super busy weekend, BUT… I would definielty reccomend this place and come back if I needed too.
Love the fountain outside… listening to it made me feel like I was at a spa. :-)
