History

Established in 2001.

This was the Old Kaiser Building, in service from about 1965 –1995 best as people have told me. The structure is sturdy, heavy concrete so the building is always comfortably cool.

We are in a different location than most the Self Storage Facilities; People seem to like where we are. Near 85 and El Camino, or behind Lozanno’s Car Wash, 2 doors off the El Camino Real.

Theft Free Since Opening… great tenants and excellent security.

Almost always full so call for a quote and reserve a spot by phone. We do not do email or internet reservations as we want people to see the unit they are getting to make sure it will fit their stuff.

I love renting units. I like to tell people the truth even if it means they might not want to rent. I am through and make sure you are served as a Human Being. I am considerate and know you are searching from your telephone. I pride myself in making sure you understand all the details before showing up and getting a «changed story» or feeling when you arrive.

I have 417 units, usually over 400 rented and I know at least 250 – 350 of my people by name and something special about each one. I love to meet people and am present for your truths and dialog if you like to share. I can rent you a unit without any talking too if you so desire!

Three years ago upon starting a remodel of my house I searched for an appropriate self-​storage business in my area where I could store my stuff securely in a clean and convenient location. After inspecting a half a dozen other storage companies locations and their physical conditions, some abysmal, think rats, piles of dirt inside units, lack of any security other than a single padlock on an outside door, I chose Grape! In contrast, Grape Ave Self Storage was a huge standout in providing the services I was seeking: clean environment, gated, with multi-​level security and on-​site manager. When I first visited Grape Ave Storage I met Doug (the on-​site manager). He is extremely knowledgeable and helped me understand all the layers of service and security Grape Ave Storage provides its customers. However, it was Doug’s excellent ongoing service that kept me as a customer for 3 years. Grape’s security and service cannot be beat. Definitely check out Grape and talk to Doug before you decide!

A variety of interior and exterior storage sizes with very good access and very secure. We have had a very large unit for two years as we went through the sale of one house and remodel of another. The best thing about this business is Doug, the on site manager. He is always available, has great advice, and is exceedingly professional and courteous. It is obvious he cares about client service. Although we are finally ready to move everything out, if we need a unit in the future, this is the first place we will try, primarily because of Doug.

I saw the great reviews on this site and went to check out Grape Ave. storage.
First off, customer service is amazing. Real people who are truly interested in talking to you, helping you, and making sure your needs are met. The gal who helped me rent my storage unit was worried that they were all full, but she was able to verify they had one available and quickly processed me into their system. It took half an hour tops before I had a key to a spacious new storage unit at an affordable price.
Some of the great things about this place: it’s in a great neighborhood, it’s pretty darn secure, and accessing the unit is pretty convenient. They even have some basic hauling equipment you can use to move things in and out of a truck.
When I gave them my notice that I was vacating my unit they were great, it was overall great service and if you are shopping for a storage unit, I recommend this place wholeheartedly.

I had to suddenly move out of my apt back in April of this year, I called them up for availability and pricing, and thank gawd, there was only one unit available! As soon as I got there, I was greeted so warmly by the lovely lady (sorry, her name just completely slipped mind) that works Friday & Saturdays, and taken to the storage unit to have a look. Each unit is fully accessible, well lit and the trolleys are a life saver!
I just moved out of the storage unit yesterday, only because I lost my job, had I still be working, my stuff would’ve stayed there. Doug was just so empathetic, sympathetic and beyond fair when we discussed my move out terms. I will definitely recommend Grape Ave Storage to anyone in casual or business conversations.
Don’t second guess making your decision to use this facility!

Very clean storage units. Priced decently. The halls can get a bit confusing and I’ve taken a wrong turn more than once and gotten lost. :) Carts actually work here and aren’t old and wonky. There is an alarm that goes off if you open the door to your storage but haven’t keyed in, so there is an extra level of security here that most older places don’t have. Facility is monitored and climate controlled so you feel like your stuff is safe.

Doug is an angel.
One of life’s challenges came up a few years back and that experience could’ve been horrifying but I found this place and Doug. He was there with me from BEGINNING TO END took EVERYTHING into consideration. He was ALWAYS available to help. Incredible.

Having to store your cr*p is never fun but this place is as good as it gets. Doug, the guy in charge, is really good to work with. He helps you to pick the best unit possible (but be forewarned, they have a low vacancy rate) and works with you every step of the way. He actually encourages you to get rid of your stuff and move on. Well, it took me nearly 2 years and since I was storing some stuff that I needed regular access to, I was there a lot. It was always clean and neat and all the other tenants I met there were nice people. As far as storage goes, you will not find a better place.

It has been a long time since I have had such excellent customer service. Doug is the best! He was very thorough over the phone with what the sizes and prices were for storage. He was just as thorough when I stopped by to see the facilities and the units. Doug showed me everything that could be available to us and never tried to talk us into anything we did not want. The units were clean and in a nice area, and although he was 100% full when I visited, I did not have to wait long for an open unit… in fact, something came up just 2 and a half hours later which was just the one I was looking for. So goes the storage market… you never know when something might go vacant! The facility was close to home, but I would drive out of my way to do business with Doug. Very friendly and professional. This has been one of the best transactions we have made. I am so glad we chose them!

Just had a 1 min phone call from this company and already I could tell they offer superior customer service. I called and told them I’ve never rented a storage place before and I wanted to know what they had to accommodate my stuff. The gentleman told me I can ask all the questions I wanted especially cause I’ve never rented one before and he could help. After listing my belongings, he said the smallest one he had was a 9×10 which is 2x more than what I needed and I would need about a 5×10. He also gave me a number to a near by storage company that could probably help me out too and he apologized for not being able to help me. Just this conversation alone showed me the kind of service this company provides =)

This is a privately owned two story self storage center.
Office staff is professional, friendly and they run the business very efficiently.
Storage center is under video surveillance 24⁄7 and monitored during hours that office is staffed. I find this to be an added bit of security while on the premises by myself.
Electronic entry gate, keypad pass code required for entry.
Interior elevator is large and spacious.
Large flat bed push carts available for moving your things back and forth. No charge.
Interior is clean and well lit.
Compared to other storage locations in the surrounding area Grape Avenue Self Storage is higher priced but it is well worth it to me since it is fairly close to my residence.
