Business Owner

Dr. Danling Zhang is a licensed acupuncturist in the bay area. She is also a professor at Five Branches University-​California Graduate school of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Prior to moving to the States she had 8 years extensive training in Liaoning University of Tradition Chinese Medicine and was a Physician in Dandong Women and Children’s hospital for 2 years. During her Master’s Program she did research on Hyper — Thyroid. In 2011 she received a DAOM title — Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Five Branches University.

Dr. Zhang is one of the best acupuncturists I have ever seen (and I have seen a number of them around the US!). During my first visit she really took the time to understand my health issues and provided a holistic perspective on the root causes of my issues, which range from poor digestion to extreme fatigue. Dr. Zhang is extremely caring and she makes you feel comfortable right away. She asks the right questions and has keen medical insight due to your training as an MD in China as well as her background in acupuncture. I rarely write Unilocal reviews but wanted to spread the word about Dr. Zhang since she is top-​notch! Please schedule an appointment and you will receive exceptional patient care, not to mention improvements in your health conditions!

Feed up with my uneven thyroid symptoms, I decided to see Dr. Zhang. She is very experienced and was able to answer a lot of my questions on why I feel the way I do. She gave me confidence that she would be able to help me get on a good path to slowly getting off the western pills and balancing my body from within. Unlucky me, I caught Pneumonia a few days so I haven’t been able to go back for my second treatment but I can’t wait to see her again and get the ball rolling.

I had some problem with my period and sometimes with a long period of PMS, which was very frustrating and annoying. Recently, the PMS comes back again– stomach feels awful, head feels dizzy, and I feel tired all the time… I went to Danling for a treatment. She diagnosed very carefully and asked me some questions, some of them matched a lot of symptoms that didn’t even realized. She examined the underlying causes of my problem and gave me an acupuncture treatment, together with cupping on the back. They felt really good and I fell asleep in a really short time, with the soothing and relaxing music. When I woke up, all of my uncomfortableness on my stomach and my head were all gone. I feel totally revived.
Danling is like a magic healer. Highly recommended.

Danling was recommended to me by my wife for acupuncture treatment to previous injuries in my ankle and knee. I healed from my injuries, although i continued to have some pain and stiffness in my joints. The treatment with Danling was great. I have better mobility, range of motion and less soreness to my joints. The experience was relaxing. My mother also went to Danling for some back issues, and she too felt a lot better after one treatment. I plan to see Danling again soon.

Danling is kind and knowledgeable. She is very compassionate to your concerns and listens to the root of your problems. Acupuncture has been helpful for treating anxiety symptoms, and helped calm down some digestive issues that were plaguing me due to anxiety. The music she puts on during the treatment is very soothing. She’s able to work with your schedule to help give you quality treatments for your condition.

Danling is INCREDIBLE!
Before seeing Danling, I was being treated by another acupuncturist for the first time who hardly spoke, only gave me very few needles for my symptoms and would give me short answers to my questions.
Once I met Danling at Five Branches University a year ago and had my first treatment, I knew I wanted Danling to be my acupuncturist!!! She is knowledgeable, teaches the practice, has a PhD, is patient, kind, listens, and always asks me how I am doing when I go to see her. Danling sincerely cares about her patients and her main goal is to help a person heal from their ailments/​symptoms.
I wouldn’t think twice about going to see another acupuncturist. Since I’ve had acupuncture for about a year now, my symptoms (for several conditions) have improved greatly! And just a few days ago, I saw Danling for PMS symptoms and after the treatment I was symptom free and ready to tackle my day! Good-​bye PMS! I won’t let you destroy my day as long as I have Danling by my side! :)

Dr. Zhang was an associate of mine. From time to time, I refer patients to Dr. Zhang when I am not available or patients have something that falls in her expertise such as fertility, thyroid issues, etc. She has been able to help all and I don’t mind whether my patients return to see me or not. Dr. Zhang takes time and makes very gentle approach. You are in good hands when acupuncture comes in your thought for any health issues, be it very chronic insomnia or a real hard time conceiving a healthy baby .

I’ve been seeing Danling for about a months to address my chronic heel pain that has followed me for many years. I did physical therapy, cortisone shot, etc, nothing worked. I’m new to acupuncture but Danling has made it simple and I might have become addicted. She did not only acupuncture, but also something called moxibustion on my foot. My pain is gradually getting better. Danling is attentive and kind, her office is clean and welcoming, and the treatments really work.

Dr, Danling Zhang is smart and has excellent skill in both acupuncture and Chinese traditional medicine. I went to Dr. Zhang after I had had long term pre menopause bleeding problems for one and half year and when my primary physician advised to take off my womb. But I do not like the surgery. During one year period, Dr. Zhang helped me a lot. The small needles have magic power in her hand. Sometimes she stopped my bleeding effectively while other times she used the needle to make the blood clot come out. Now my bleeding problem is almost over and I am sure I do not need the surgery.
Later, I found out that my blood pressure was a little higher. She gave me a small bottle of medicine and said I just need to take five small pills one time a day. The instruction on the bottle is showing three times a day. I doubted about whether one time a day was enough. Within five days after I took the pills, my blood pressure recovered to normal. Now, I went to Dr. Zhang for almost everything with my health issues.

I’ve been having some neck pains that chiropractors have been unable to cure, i couldn’t sleep at night the pain was so excruciating so a friend of mine recommended Danling Acupuncture.
Dr Zhang asked many questions about my eating and life style habits which explained why i had so much tension and stress. i received both acupuncture and moxa-​wool moxibustion.
then made a follow up appointment which i felt like i didn’t need since the pain was 100% gone the next day!
Went for the follow up anyway 3 days later and i don’t know what was in those needles but i was on a happy high for quite a while.
6 months later i came back because i started to get stress in the same spots again because my new school schedule. immediately after i left the clinic, i already felt a huge difference. i usually hate needles but here,
this acupuncturist are really calming and sensitive so i’ve never freaked out.
whatever it is you have, acupuncture always cures. i always recommend this place to close friends and family.
