I’m truly impressed. The atmosphere, professionalism of the staff and Doctor.
My kid was super happy during the entire experience, Doctor was super thorough and detail-​oriented while being kind.
It’s pretty incredible to imagine a child having a great time at the dentist. This place exceeded every expectation… And yes… I had expectations. Bravo!

I went to Dr. Kao’s office for my 2.5 year old son’s first dental check-​up. The staff was very professional and did their best to make him feel comfortable. Thao did an excellent job making sure he was comfortable which made him cooperate with her well during the teeth cleaning and brushing. Afterwords, Dr Kao looked at his teeth and found them to be cavity free which was welcome news. He was also very helpful in explaining to me how well his teeth were growing and things we can do to make sure his teeth continue to be healthy and strong.
The office setting was nice with very kid friendly décor that my son seemed to appreciate.
As much as anyone can look forward to a dentist visit, I can honestly say that we are looking forward to our next dentist visit 6 months from now.

My daughter had gone to Dr. Kao since she was tiny, and i never loved their office, but out of ease I continued to go. First problem… his hygentist CANT SPEAK ENGLISH! This is a major problem when they have a mask on, and are trying to talk to children. My daughter kept saying «mommy what is she trying to say?» And I agreed… it was HARD to understand her. The front office staff is nice, and the Dr. was fine. That is until this last appointment. My daughter (4.5 years) needed x-​rays. The hygentist (same one who cant speak english) could not get her side teeth. She tried and tried again and my daughter started crying and that was that. They said to come back in 6 months. So I go home that night and floss her teeth (which sadly i never did!) and noticed a huge chip or hole in her tooth. I couldn’t belive he missed that! I took her to a different dentist (Grace Lee, AWESEOME) and she was able to take «pictures» (not calling them xrays to fool my daughter) and it was no problem at all. Come to find out she has an ENORMOUS cavity so deep she may have to get a cap. (and an additional cavity same tooth other side) Had I waited 6 months to go back to Dr. Kao, she would have had to get a root canal!!! Now it was not just his staff but HE DIDNT NOTICE A HUGE cavity that a mom flossing her kids teeth noticed. Not exactly reliable! SKip this place and go straight to Grace Lee. Staff was amazing with the kids, and she was GREAT.

I went to Dr. Kao for a 2^nd opinion and we are so thankful that we did. Dr. Kao informed me there was no need to extract my 5 yr. old son front tooth and that his teeth/​gum are in good condition. I would like to ad that the dental office is clean and has a nice décor for the children which makes them feel comfortable. Upon arrival the staff greeted us very friendly and professional. The dental hygienist walk out greeted my 5 year old and then walk him back to the dental chair where he was able to watch a movie and our lil one actually enjoyed his dental visit. I must say this was a first for us my husband and I immediately took note as to how comfortable our son was at Dr. Kao’s office the doctor won us over hands down and we will continue to use his dental services.
Thanks Dr. Kao — your new patient as of 09÷22÷10 w/​the 2 front caps ;.)

Dr Kao is a pediatric dentist. We switched to him a year ago when our poor lil 5 year old needed 3 full caps! The normal dentist we had been going to just did not feel he could properly accommodate such a procedure on a little one and recommended we find a pediatric dentist. Dr. Kao has been really good with the kids since then. He explains everything to the kids and has a calming presence (this is probably just as beneficial for me as the kid). It was a pretty big piece of work and a little traumatic for our boy, but even so, he was plenty excited to go back again 6 months later…
