I had a square sicilian pizza slice. The bread was a little tough, and the sauce lacked flavor. The pizza is definitely much better across the street at Sunnyside Pizza. The staff is very friendly, and they have a wide selection of food. The question is not what they have, but what they don’t have.

Don’t order for delivery. Your pizza will be carried sideways from the restaurant so it is squished up to one end and inedible.

I had a horrible experience. The delivery guy got lost on the way to my house and called me, only speaking in Spanish, and was unable to state where he was. When the food finally got to my house over 1.5 hours later, it was dead cold and unfortunately, when I heated it up, the chicken became rubbery and inedible. Will not order from this place again.

It’s been over an hour since I ordered pizza. Still waiting! It’s been two hours now and I’m still waiting with the restaurant having no idea about the delivery guy.

then i didn’t have a time to cook i was picking up half a chicken for $ 5.50 and side order of french fries. sometimes chicken was to dry , and ones they serve me undercooked parts of it. $ 4.50 french fries in that, establishment«was always ok . a rest of their dishes have a very poor taste, no flavor besides over seasoned with salt !! i was always paying with my credit or debit cards. but yesterday cashier told me about $ 6 limit with cc purchase. they didn’t have any written notice of that, new policy ». i confronted cashier about it he said that he gonna except $ 5.50 on the $ 6 purchase credit card limit, but not $ 4.50, and rudely turn his back on me !! ??? i think he has a problems with simple math or he just simply decide not to serve me order of french fries! ?? wow! !, great service«oasis gyro pizza !! bravo !! lol i understand that people sometimes can’t afford to eat in a good places that’s why they go to the poor quality places like that. but we all deserve good service ! because consumers are paying for those workers salary by spending money on a food and support that unfortunately located in our neighborhood business! ! i am giving them one star only because of rating requirements of the Unilocal.they didn’t deserve to have a rat’s …, for rating ! that kind of meat they are probably using to cook guro with !!!

They delivered a Rotisserie Chicken and Lentil Soup after 1 in the morning in exactly 9 minutes flat! Nothing was wrong with the food either; everything was hot and delicious and neat. It doesn’t even make sense. There is no demand in the universe such as this for Rotisserie Chicken. I know I’m a strong tipper and NY is about convenience but this is a little ridiculous. These people impressed me.

Whoever works behind the late night counter on Friday nights was extremely rude. I asked him for extra tzatziki and hot sauce but specifically asked not to have the buffalo sauce that sat beside the regual hot sauce. For whatever reason this annoyed him so much that he gave me cream cheese instead of tzatziki and also the buffalo sauce I asked not to have. The girl on the counter was very nice and let me use the bathroom but I was very disappionted when I got home and had a lamb gyro with cream cheese in it.

Late dinner pizza craving. On our way home from watching Broadway show and was trying to call our favorite pizza place for pick up but nobody was picking up the call(I can’t blame them as it is 11 pm and in half hour they will be closing.). With that we settled on the first pizza

This is based on a couple of things I’ve had there… Pizza, burger, fries, smoothies, Caesar salad, arugula salad, skirt steak with rice and beans and chicken soup. Burger is great. Has that char grilled taste to it. French fries are delicious. Get the cheeseburger deluxe! Everything else that I mentioned is pretty good. Pizza is the only thing I would not recommend

I walked by this place on my way to pick up from BCD Tofu next door, so I popped in and order a gyro sandwich to go. They were pretty quick, guy who handled my food wore gloves. Place looked rundown so yeah it’s a hole in the wall. The white sauce they put on was thick and flavorful, it was a delicious gyro overall. They cut the lamb and heat it on the stovetop along with the pita. The sandwich came out to be $ 7 which is about $ 2 – 3 more than what you’d pay at the street carts at Jackson Heights. It tasted good, but not sure if I’d splurge again.

Ok, so this place looks like a dump, and there are a lot of items I would never try there. However, I regularly pick up rotisserie chicken there, and it is quite good(good enough to pay $ 10 instead of $ 8 at Butcher Block). The chickens are small for $ 10 but well seasoned and come with a very hot green sauce. I’ve also tried their gyros and they are pretty good, they put the gyro meat on the grill to crisp it up. Their pizza looks terrible, but you really should expect that from a place that is not a dedicated pizzaria, but I have to be honest, I’m just judging on looks/smell, I have not tried a slice.

Great lamb gyro and fries for $ 10 with a can of soda included. Gyro comes heaping with meat which I liked. Nice flavor and good white sauce. Fries were also great. Super crispy and tasty. Definitely memorable. Waited about 5 minutes for food and staff was very friendly. Also no minimum on credit cards is nice.

This place is 50⁄50. On the one hand their rotisserie chicken can be very good. I seen chickens sometimes roasting on the big rotisserie which can probably fit over 20 chickens with ribs and roast. Accompanied with the average tasting salad made of iceberg lettuce, medium sized plain tasting black olives, basic onions, basic peppers it is fresh but just a plain o’ salad. On the side were also cubes of mozzarella mixed in with tomatoes, these cubes were fresh, seems homemade or from a local buyer, not the supermarket Polly-o kind, so that’s a plus. Though not much milky flavor. The other appetizer was buffalo wings accompanied with ranch and hot sauce. Crisp and tender inside, plain but good. Pizza is tipping three stars any worst and I would say two stars. The crust has no pizazz. It has a hint of crustiness but it’s more like a lightly burnt pretzel or pita. I did not taste much sauce and the mozzarella was skimping on the regular slice, meaning more dough than content and cheese. I also had the«white» which is the name for the ricotta pie/slice and usually good ricotta has taste to it and a texture, this was just plain. Not bad just plain. Never had that but Gyros available. The décor is okay, went there once without air conditioning in the summer, with all the stoves and cooking going on, it’s hot in there. Get delivery and it’s decent not bad. But not great.

Their regular cheese slice is awesome. Definitely give that a 9⁄10 But their gyro is bland, the regular halal cart guy usually offers a much more tastier and cheaper gyro. The french fries are average. Nothing was worth the money besides the pizza.

I don’t really see why this place has such poor reviews because I think their gyro is one of my favorites in the area! They carve some tasty gyro and grill it up so that it is nice and crispy on the outside but tender and delicious on the inside. The green sauce they offer is flavorful and a nice compliment to the savory meat. The people working in there are always friendly and courteous. And let’s not overlook the obvious reason this place rocks, they are open super late and right off the train stop! It sure beats the gyro cart nearby if you ask me and let’s judge it for what it really is, fast food, not fine dining.

I TRIED — Buffalo Wings(3⁄10) — Gyro(4⁄10) — Greek Side Salad(2⁄10) — French Fries(7⁄10) I got in to NYC this evening, and as normal, I looked up all the hot spots on Flavortown, Unilocal, etc. Problem is, I don’t know my way around NYC at all! I knew I was staying in Long Island, but is that Manhatten? Is that a «borough?» I have no idea, so my thought was, I’ll Unilocal once I get to the hotel. Problem is, the road to the hotel is about as confusing as how New Yorkers pronounce«Houston.» By the time I got there and gave the valet my key, I was like, «Keep it!» I had no desire to drive again on these roads. So, I asked for local menus that deliver, and got a very un-stunning variety. Given the sort of shady looking immediate neighborhood, I guess I was surprised there was anything at all! None of these guys scored above 3 stars on Unilocal,so I just picked one, and here we are. GYRO Pronounced«jyro,» with a J! Sigh… New York. Anyway, it was just ok. I’m not an expert at gyros, but my main education came from Chicago’s Greektown, so I’d like to think that’s somewhat credible. The gyro meat has definitely been spinning for way too long, because there were downright crunchy pieces of meat, and I’m not talking about crispy ends, I mean entire pieces that were like jerky! The flavor was ok, and the tzatziki sauce did its job. It’d have been an average(5⁄10) gyro, but had to dock points for being overdone. BUFFALOWINGS I had no reason to get this. The gyro platter was already enough food, but for some reason I was craving wings. The wings themselves were decent, a little crispy, sauced well, but every bite had some weird extra flavor that I couldn’t quite put my finger on. Then I looked in my takeout tray and saw that the wings were resting on a bed of spring mix leaves. That in itself might not be so bad, but the leaves were all browning… a lot! That’s what the bitter taste was! Blech! Then I dipped them in the blue cheese dressing, and omg! This is the bluest cheese I’ve ever had, which meant either 1 of 2 things: 1) This is the highest quality blue cheese I’ve ever had or 2) This is rotten! Whichever the case, it was disgusting and I wanted to have nothing to do with it! I think if they gave these wings on a platter by themselves, they could’ve scored a 6⁄10! GREEKSIDESALAD This came with the gyro, because I got the platter. It’s pathetic looking. It’s got the same spring mix as what was on the bottom of the buffalo wings(although a little bit healthier looking, thank God!) and some tomato slices and cubes of feta cheese. The thing I get most excited about with Greek salads is the kalamata olives, but there were none to be found here. It comes with its own«house dressing,» which sucks. It looks like Italian dressing, but it definitely isn’t that. I dipped a tomato in it, and then put the lid back on the dressing. No thank you! I just used the tomatoes in the gyro, and that was that. FRIES Surprisingly enough, one of the other reviews here said that the fries were good, and I couldn’t imagine how, but sure enough, they were! Imagine the last rendition of Burger King fries, remember how they were extra crispy because you’d see some kind of extra breading on there, unlike the smooth look of McD’s fries? Well, imagine that, but scaled up to the size of normal restaurant fries. They were fried well and seasoned well. After I had finished the gyro, I had to stop myself from munching on the fries. So, imagine that. If you need a fry fix, go to Oasis! LOOKINGBACKINANGER Though this was probably the most sketchy out of all the delivery menus I got from the hotel, fair is fair, and this is the one I randomly picked. When I say sketchy, I mean the Unilocal reviews are not good. They actually had the best looking menu out of the rest. I should also mention, the guy taking my order on the phone was so hard to understand and he couldn’t understand English that well either, so everything had to be said, repeated, repeated back, corrected, repeated back again, and then confirmed. All in all a painful experience. I have no reason to ever come back.

The pseudo sister establishment to Pete’s Grill( ) hasn’t fared as well as many would have hoped. When it was still in construction last year, the anticipation was building for months for what turned out to be another pizza joint with some variable extras. With pizzas, gyros, comfort food, and rotisserie chicken, Oasis seemed like a nice all-in-one spot, but sadly everything has been bland from the get go. I can’t hate on the marketing, the 20% grand opening specials were killer and the delivery has been solid for the most part. The biggest issue has been the food, which I’m sure many can agree, looks a lot better than it tastes. Despite rotating on a constant skewer, the rotisserie chicken seems to be lacking seasoning of some sort. If the meat isn’t dry, then the skin has little flavor, at least that’s what I’m getting from the taste bud report. Sides like the corn on the cob, mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes are also in the same uneventful column and sadly so has been any slices of their pizza. Particularly the sausage and pepperoni have been the worst offenders so far. A surprisingly decent option has been the burgers. Flame broiled(really?) and seasoned well, these things may be Oasis’ saving grace. I’ve also enjoyed their salads from time to time, and the gyros are a touch better than most of what they offer. Could similar offerings at the Halal carts across the street pump out a meaner and tastier product? Also highly likely. I am really hoping they are able to turn things around. It’s such a great location and considering the hood is devoid of abundant quality pizza options and could always use more comfort food. And only then will this Oasis no longer be a façade in the Sunnyside desert.

What can I say about this pizzeria!!! I gave them one star because of their shady business practice. Between the hours of 12:00p-5:00p they offer $ 1 slices of their regular cheese pizzas. I went in there to try a slice, for $ 1 why not. I think what really annoyed me was that you don’t get what you see. I went in thinking that the pizza looked good. I always like to watch the person serving the pizza cut the slices and put them into the oven so I know what I am getting. I ordered 3 slices and waited for him to put them in the oven. To my surprise, he had a pie already all cut up and stored in the bottom of the oven where they stored other food. This $ 1 slice was smaller and thicker than the pizza on the counter behind the glass. When I told the guy that I wanted a slice that was from behind the glass he told me that those were the regular priced slices??? The pizza sever directed me to who I think was the manager. An older man who proceeded to tell me that the special they were offering were for the smaller slice(which they were hiding in the lower oven). The regular slices behind the glass were full price. You should have both pies laid out so that customers can see what they are getting. I think that if you are trying to gain new customer this was truly not the way to do it. I felt ripped off and I don’t trust them. I will«NEVER» go there again. To get great pizza I just have to cross the boulevard.
