Took my 2014 Dodge Challenger in to get a quote for some body work. Tommy treated me like a long lost friend. Gave me all information straightforward with no BS. Must say, that impressed me so much that I made an appointment to bring my ride in the following week. Four days later my car was ready, but then the snowstorm occurred. Tommy assured me that my car would be fine and let me leave the car at the garage until it cleared up from the storm. The job that was done on my Challenger was amazing. Put that together with what I would call a very fair price, it made it a home run finding this place. Its so hard to find trustworthy auto anything, especially when you have a vintage car, but I can’t believe the service I received here. Im unemployed right now so it was nice to have a shop that stuck very close to their originally quote and fixed only what needed to be fixed. I highly recommend Newport Auto! Not only were Tommy and Jimmy awfully nice guys, they were very straightforward AND I got my car back the next day once all the parts arrived! And the price for the repairs was very reasonable. Im definitely bringing my car back here when Im ready for a full body paint job. Thanks guys! She looks great!

Reviews doesn’t lie. I don’t mind driving for 1 hour to go to an experience body shop because it matters where you get your car done. Luckily, I found one around my house (2 minutes walking) which is called Newport auto body shop. I met with Tom to discuss about my car and he was straight forward what needed to be done instead of telling me «ohh this thing need to be fix too when it doesn’t». I went to different dealer and that’s what they did to me. Tom was very knowledgeable and gave you a reasonable price. I had a front bumper redone, the paint and work are like manufacture work. I’m happy with the service. I even asked for a touch paint just to touch some areas of my car and he’s willing to give me some however I haven’t had time to pick it up (soon). Don’t hesitate to come here!

I am pinching myself to be sure I really had this experience and didn’t just dream it up. These guys are simply the best. They do great work and are very reasonably priced. On top of it all, I got a ride home after dropping off my car! All of the good reviews here are richly deserved. It would be nice if I didn’t need to have body work done on my car again but if and when I do, there’s no question that I’ll be heading back here.

I read the numerous Unilocal reviews and decided to bring my car in for some body work on the back door. They replaced the skin of the door and now you can’t even tell there was ever any damage to that door at all. They repaired my car in record time so that I could have it back for the upcoming holiday weekend. The work was impeccable and service was even better!

Went here the first time based on the Unilocal reviews. The second time based on the first experience. Both times out of pocket.
First time: I was planning on selling my Civic and wanted to look into damage sustained while parked on the residential streets of Sunnyside (where it seems hitting someone else’s car while parking or double parking is normal Sunnyside procedure). I spoke with Tom who gave me a very helpful and honest assessment on where my money would be best spent if planning on selling («don’t paint the whole thing, replace the fender and rub out the door). He gave me a quote and when I was ready to sell (a few months later) I brought the car in. I was quoted a good price and when I reminded Tom of the price, he paused, checked his numbers and said «Okay». Turns out the replacement fender went up in price but he stayed true to the quote. I was worried that the fender would stand out too much but that was already thought of by the guys who are super friendly to boot. Worth every penny. It didn’t hurt to look at my not so new or old car anymore and for a very reasonable price.
Second time: Got rid of the civic and used the money to get a nicer newer family SUV. The previous owner had just scraped the side of the vehicle with a concrete pillar in a parking garage. The scrape was visible on the the front fender and rear fender, but the rear passenger door needed a new panel for sure. I got various quotes from others closer to home, finally brought it to Newport and Tom quoted me a very competitive price (lower) that included repainting the fenders. A few days after leaving the vehicle with Newport, Tom called with good news. «It’s going to come out to less than what we discussed, we didn’t need to repaint the fenders. They rubbed out just fine» So, when compared to the other quotes, I saved about $ 500 going to Newport. Awesome. Thank you guys.

So, sure enough I needed some body work done after someone hit my door in a parking lot. If you read my first review, I had good reason to trust these guys again.
I waited a little longer than anticipated for the repair to be complete (about 2 ½ days) but not the end of the world at all. The end result was flawless.

I was involved in an accident that left my 2014 beautiful Jeep in bad condition. I was devastated and feared that she would never look the same again. I brought her to Newport and definitely hands down do not regret my decision. The guys handled things with my insurance and gave me my baby back in exceptional condition. I was updated often on the status of the work, when I called I always got the one of the owner personally… no middleman. Great attention, great customer car, great job!!! satisfaction guaranteed. I would definitely use Newport for all of my repairs in the future. I love the open door policy and ability to call whenever I had questions!!! The scene of the crime was the Stop N Shop rooftop parking lot; as I opened my car door a woman careened around through the spot next to me and clipped my car door. She actually never stopped, and for a split second I thought she was going to rip the door off. My sturdy ’95 Volvo took it like a prizefighting champ though, and I thought I was off the hook until I tried to close the door. Door wouldn’t close. Wind whistled as I held the door while driving home.
I called Newport Auto and spoke with a very nice man named Tommy who said I could bring it in that day. While I was envisioning hundreds of dollars and possibly needing a new door, he got some tool and fixed my door in a matter of minutes. I never even had to turn my car off! He said the hinges were bent and he bent them back.
Amazing work, great garage. I’m going back next week to fix my headlight. Newport Auto Body made my day.

My wife and I had our car shipped from CA to NY and the shippers cracked our bumper. We went to Tommy at Newport Auto Body and he was amazingly helpful. He gave us an estimate to start and explained the whole process to us. He also gave us the estimate without the promise of any business and had a great attitude. Naturally, we came back to him and his shop fixed our car and did a great job! They also fixed the tail light in our back bumper without even having to stop and ask us. That was going the extra mile. They also charged us a very reasonable price and completed the work exactly when they said they would. The whole experience was as good as it could be and we are very grateful for Tommy and Newport Auto Body helping us out of real bind.

My car’s passenger side had a combination of scratches, dents, a detached side mirror and the rear side panel was ripped open. Several shops estimated the repair cost at a total of $ 3,500. A considerable part of these costs included replacing the rear panel. At Newport, Tom (co-​owner) recommended repairing all the damage without replacing parts for a total of $ 1,500. Tom’s estimate would save me two-​grand but I was cautious because of the surprisingly large price difference. I decided to trust him with my car and I could not be more pleased with the results. The repairs were completed in 3 days and Tom was always upfront, informative and easy to reach. Today, I cannot find any signs that my car was ever damaged. The repairs and paint job were done extremely well. Next spring, I plan on going back to Newport to clean up some of the wear and tear on my car. I highly recommend Newport Auto Body to anyone looking for fair pricing, friendly and knowledgeable customer service and excellent results. Thanks again to Tom and Co.

Just about a month ago, I got into an accident with my brand new 2014 crv. The guy in the other vehicle said he was parked, but my damages were from the front door all the way to the end of the truck. Newport was recommend by my sister who has used them before on her car. Walked in and was greeted by both owners. Tommy looked at the truck and gave me an estimate. Well finally dropped the truck off about a week later because of the insurance company.
When I picked up my truck that Friday I couldn’t be happier. It looked like the day I bought it from the dealership. I will always recommend these guys. Plus I called almost everyday to see how the work was going and all, thought I was alittle annoying, but they gave me the details everyday.

About two months ago my my baby was parked in a real good spot on my block. I always try to park at a spot that would warrent the lowest possable risked of being hit or scratch. However, one morning I woke up to a rude awakening. Adrunking loser hit my baby, at approximately 70mph, making a left turn. The result was disastrous .I didn’t know what to do so I call State Farm and told them thst I had a accident and I was taking my truck to the dealer to hsve it fixed .I wanted the best for my baby. The dealer took my truck and accepted the job. I call afew day later and they told me that they send the my truck to the body shop to get it fixed. I thiught to myself «ho man, I’m going have yo get a new truck. Then I ask where is the shop and whats yhe number to the shop. That when I was introduced to Newport Auto Body. I call yhe shop and spoke to Tom who guarantee me that my baby would good as new, at first I didn’t believe him, I thought fot shore he was just talking smack. However, the work they did was astronomical, I coudint believe it .my truck was like brand new. They took there time and and did a fantastic job. I couldn’t stop thanking Tommy and his brother for doing such a excellent job. I can’t say more about Newport Auto Boudy, I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a excellent body shop. My baby was detailed polish Spick and Span, and I… was in heven again. Thank you Newpor Auto Body.

This last weekend we had an incident where we opened our passenger side door and a delivery guy on a bike crashed into it, damaging the hinge of the door so that it wouldn’t close. We took our car to a local, highly rated mechanic who uses Newport Auto Body for all their body work (which tells you something about the quality of work at Newport). Tommy came right down, was really cordial and friendly (a lost art these days), and had us follow him back to the shop. He identified the problem as something that could be fixed quickly and ended up fixing our door right there on the spot, free of charge. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone needing body work. I can’t promise the service will be free but its great to know you’re dealing with a genuinely good person who won’t take advantage of you.

I have gotten my car fixed here multiple times. The owners know what they are talking about. I totaled my one car brought it to Newport they gave me a fair price to fix it. About a week later the car was done and good as new. I would highly recommend this auto body shop to anyone.

After 10 days of owning a car I was rear ended by a dump truck. Went to Newport Auto Body. Tommy has fantastic Customer Service and also has great Communication. Jimmy his brother also very helpful. Tommy is old school and treats you like Family.
The paint job they did you’d think it was done in the factory. I am one pain in the ass for detail, but as Tommy said yes he did make me smile. Thank You Guys and I recommend this Body Shop!

Just picked up my 2006 Infiniti m35x and I got into a fender bender, went to Newport auto body and was greeted by tommy, very professional and made me feel comfortable with leaving my car in there hands, picked it up 3 days later and I couldn’t be happier with the results. My car looks beautiful !! I will be going back to them and would highly roccemmend them to my friends and family
