Good prices, delicious food, professional staff. I like it. I’ve spent my time so good so i’m gonna put good feedback

After my initial review, the owner, Pat called me and apologized for the restaurant being closed without any notices on door notifying potential patrons, nor changing Unilocal hours. He explained an unforeseeable event caused the restaurant to close temporarily until it can be fixed; and in the midst of trying everything, they forgot/​overlooked putting up restaurant (temporary) closure notices.
So I’ve updated my review and gave 5 stars because Pat really made this personal and personable by calling me to explain the situation and apologizing repeatedly. Pat really took his time and care into making me a potential customer.
So for now, my (updated) 5-​star review is based strictly on my conversation with Pat, the owner, and not the food — I haven’t tried the burger yet, but really looking forward to trying it!

I recently had dinner here and had an unusual experience. The service was friendly and eager to please us, however the ventilation was so horrible that our entire party left with our eyes literally burning. We had small children that received there food last which made their trip long and the next day 3 in our party were up all night throwing up. The owner was very friendly and tried very hard to accommodate us.

The owner and his wife are AMAZING! Club sandwich was so good tasted so fresh. The burger was delicious (says my husband) And the wings and the fries are the best. This place is delicious. Everything is fresh and no crappy feeling afterwards. Will be returning ! This was our first time !

We’re supporters of local businesses. We are Hospitality people, and we use Unilocal to find new local places around the neighborhood. We trust Unilocal ratings, and we ended here while craving a good burger.
For the first time, I’ll have to think these ratings were posted by friends, and they don’t know much about fresh food.
I don’t even know where to start! Please allow me to list just few bullet points about our experience:
* chalkboard listed ‘Burger of the Month’: … (blank)
* the owner (we think– he didn’t introduced himself) saw us looking at it, and he said: well… we are rather new, and still going over the growing pains. I still don’t know what to put there as «burger of the month» — any suggestions? …
*he also added: — so please know that, you might ask for some things we MAY NOT have (again: …)
* as any burger&beer joint, we asked about beer offerings on draft? Answer: no draft beers. (more…)
* there are beer signs on wall.(good brands!) We were exited… Obviously decorative. We asked for about 3 of them without any luck. So we had to ask: -«what beers do YOU have»? Answer: Heineken, Stella, Corona, and… finally a Belgium IPA …- we got the IPA
* we picked the most expensive burger. It sounded amazing. With great disappointment, here is the description:
— came on a very small, «cold» bun. (maybe purchased at Publix down the street)
— zero condiments (and I do NOT like my food with condiments) These burgers were totally Tasteless.
— meat tasted also as it was pre-​made and purchased on sale in a supermarket. (Or at a Dollar store!) One of them was to be cooked medium; but both were dry and well done.
* we order fries. Sent them back asking to please cook the fries. When fries got to our table they were «white” — well… they were NOT fried.
Summay:
We wish you well. But please DO NOT call a place Woody «burger&beer» if your BEST meal IS NOT the burger, and you DON’T KNOW about beers, OR HAVE a variety of beers.
Price is very decent, and this is only what the burgers are worth paying for.
Within price comparison, beer variety, and burger quality, we’ll rather go to BurgerFi next time.

I went there today at about 12:30pm and the doors were locked. There wasn’t anyone inside and no note on the door. It must of gone out of business. It sucks cuz I was really looking forward to one of their burgers.

Woody’s is the bomb! The ingredients are fresh and high quality and the prices are super affordable. I usually get one of the burgers, which are always delicious.
Considering how most things are overpriced in Sunny Isles, this place stands out for high quality, reasonably priced and deliciously tasting food.

Great burger and poutine and really great prices. The staff/​owners are really great. The only odd thing was that they ran out of beer before we got there for dinner. They have a real cappuccino maker though and the cappuccino I got was awesome!

Highly recommend their steamed burgers and the poutine!!! Excellent service and the food was outstanding!

Stumbled upon this place on Unilocal.Just moved to the area, was looking for a quick bite on a Tuesday night. This place is amazing, the steamed burgers are out of this world! I had the Blue Cheese steamed burger and the wife had the Steamed Cheeseburger. We were blown away! The service was excellent, a real local family joint!
The owner came by our table and greeted us, super nice guy. He even told us Thursday nights is $ 1 dollar beer nights, that’s what I’m talking about!
Go try this place if you’re in the mood for a great «famous steamed» burger. If you’ve never had a steamed burger, trust me, go right now and thank me later!

Best burger in Sunny Isles. Great service and a family feel. I work on the beach and I have to come here at least a few times a week. I love it!

I got the BBQ wings and they were phenomenal. They were so fresh! I also hear the burgers are great. The staff is also super friendly. A nice gem.

While visiting Sunny Isle Beach in Miami we had a taste for a burger. So glad we found Woodys! The Sunny Isle Steamers were excellent. Never tried a steamed burger before but glad we did… fresh, moist and delicious! It is located in a strip shopping center set a little bit back from the road so look for the red Woodys sign.

Finally a burger place that knows how to cook a burger! Also tuna sandwich was outstanding. We had the steamed burgers which are a little leaner and therefore healthier. But still delicious.
Patties are hand made with great quality meat. Very happy we have a great burger joint right here in sunny isles.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience eating here .The people are polite and down to earth. The food was excellent especially the fried twinkies. I recommend you try this place whether you’re a local or on vacation. You can’t beat the price or the service.

Owner helped us get a cab, gave us free espresso while we waited and our breakfast was only $ 4 each :)

We found this great burger and beer joint while on vacation in Sunny Isles last week. Our only regret is that we wished we had tried it sooner in our trip. We stopped by on New Years day evening and ordered funnel cake with strawberry sauce served up by the owner himself. What a nice and personable man. We savored our funnel cake on the beach with mimosas that night. We went back the next day for appetizer platter, burger, fries and two beers for twenty five bucks. It was great! The prices are unbelievable and so much variety. A rare and lucky find. Highly recommended.

If you’re looking for quality food at an unbeatable price, then look no further! We ordered takeout and got quite the variety of items: sweet potato fries, the Fortune Teller burger, a steamed burger, philly cheese steak, chicken wings, and deep fried oreos. All of this for under $ 35! Don’t let the price deter you — great food doesn’t have to come with an astronomical price tag (as I’m sure people might be used to in these parts). We were very pleased with everything we ordered and will certainly be regular customers here. :)
