I was terrified of picking the wrong moving company. There are always horror stories about things being broken or extra fees at the last minute. Luckily I came across elite during my search for a good moving company. I think I looked through BBB. They were not the cheapest option, but their quote was only a couple hundred more than the other moving company I was thinking of going with (after putting my deposit in with elite I found out another friend of mine moved with the other company and had a horrible experience).
I moved a one bedroom and a car from California to Virginia on January 30. Mary Davis was my main point of contact and she was very prompt in getting back to me with any questions I had big or small. On moving day, my movers had a set back with the customer before me, but they kept me aware of the situation and their updated ETA the whole time. I was never left wondering which is comforting since moving across the country is stressful enough. The movers were friendly and very quick once they arrived. I packed everything up my self, and there were no extra charges or hidden fees.
My stuff arrived in Virginia two weeks later which I think was on the early end of the amount of time they quoted for a cross country move. The gentlemen who delivered everything were also very friendly and professional. None of my stuff was broken or damaged, including my large mirror that I packed myself. If I were to make another cross country move I would definitely call this company!

We finaly finished all remodeling at our new home and had Elite deliver our furniture.
We had them move us from Hermosa beach two months ago and store everything.
When I originally contracted Elite I promised that if the move will go wall I will post review and will allow them to use me as refranc

I cannot believe they had my whole house secured in their truck in no time! Everything arrived in perfect condition and put wherever I asked with no complaints. Just happy smiles and it was 100 degrees that day!
I would highly recommend this company and fine gentlemen for any and all your moving needs!

Use Elite if:
You aren’t in a hurry to get your stuff.
You don’t care about where your stuff is.
You want to get fast-​talked.
You like dealing with rude people on the other end of the phone.
You enjoy getting the «Bait and Switch» treatment.
I would agree with all that.
I spoke with Dana who was super friendly prior to my belongings being picked up however when I called back to speak with her about why the movers were not keeping their projected date of my furniture arriving she pretended to not know who I was. Everyone on the phone was rude as if I should not be asking where my furniture was or when I could expect it.
They picked up my furniture only to keep it in some holding area to be picked up by a 3 party mover. NONE of this was explained to me prior to my move they represented they would be moving it themselves.LIES.
When my furnitiure was delivered 2 weeks after the date they said, two movers showed up my 19 year old daughter was there to meet them and they attempted to demand an extra 300.00 in «CASH ONLY» for a reason they could not explain and she refused they asked her to get in their semi-​truck. She refused and then they joked they would not «kidnap’her?
What kind of 3 party movers are these ELITE bait & switchers dealing with?
I had the final balance of 320.00 which was to be paid by my credit card and that was arranged as by Elites demands of that was how the final balance was to be paid they switched what they demanded and forced me to pay cash.

STAY AWAY! I’m in limbo thanks to Elite moving. I moved from Los Angeles to Georgia, but as far as I can tell, none of my earthly possessions will be joining me.
The team came to my apartment on June 17^th to pack my things were excellent, they wrapped everything well, and yes as other reviewers have stated it did cost thousands more than estimated. I would be frustrated and give them three stars but ove a month later I still HAVE NO IDEA WHERE MY BELONGINGS ARE.
I call, they ask me to leave a message and say they will call back. No one ever calls back. I send emails and messages get ignored for days.
This company is full of broken promises. I have been given delivery days five times and they have yet to come through.
I was told my things were packed on a truck to be delivered four weeks ago. My first estimated delivery date was three weeks ago today. When no one called to set up a delivery time the night before, I called them and found out my delivery had been delayed and would be delivery over the 4^th of July weekend. I had planned to be out of town and cancelled plans to see dear friends whom I haven’t seen in years. I get in contact the day before the move day to, you guessed it, find out my move had been delayed again. This time it would be the following Wednesday, nope, called to find out it was delayed until the following Sunday/​Monday, which. I called again, they said it would be here no later than Sunday Monday which is today. I called again to find out my shipment is delayed until Friday or Saturday. Worst service I have ever hired.

We used elite moving and storage for our move from Los Angeles to Hawaii.
We used elite for packing and crating they did a wonderful
Job all of our items arrived safely no damages on time
And we would recommend them in the future to anyone

I had a horrible experience with this company and would advise anyone who is considering using them for a long distance move to highly reconsider!!!
I had never used a moving company for a long distance move before and after getting quotes from other companies Elite Moving and Sorage seemed to be the most resonable and even called to ask about the details of my move after filing out a form online. Initially the customer service was great they called and emailed back in a timely manner and were very friendly over the phone. All of that soon changed once they arrived to my apt to pack everything in the truck. I was charged fee after fee after fee. Long carry fee, materials fee, elevator fee, extra fees for packing my TV and a large hanging glass mirror. The funny thing is that I had an email in writing stating my quote and their would be no extra fees on the actual move day. I showed this email to the movers and he was in shock. Stating I don’t know why they would tell you that. When I called to talk to someone in the office (Mary, Donna) I was told they were out to lunch and would return my phone call in 15min. They never called back and when I finally talked to one of them they were so rude and had me in tears. I was told I could find another moving company if I wanted… this was after half of my apt was already packed in the truck. I was leaving the next day early in the morning for a long distance road trip from LA to Chicago so there was no way I could hire another mover in such short notice. I ended paying $ 1000.00 over thr price I was quoted on the phone!!!
But my horrible experience did not end there. I continued to have issues with getting my belongings delivered to my home in Chicago. I asked specifically that they be delivered by a ceratin date as I was planning a family trip to Florida close to the dellivery date. I was assured that this would not be a problem. After over a week of not hearing from them I called and they said my items were on a truck and on their way to Chicago and should arrive in 2 – 3 days. The driver should call me 24hrs before arrival. Two days went by and I did not hear from the driver. It took them a total of 20days before my items were actualy delivered. Well over the two week time frame they give you in the contaract (BEWARE because if you dont read closely like I failed to it says 14 business days). So I guess they didn’t count weekends. Even though they work on the weekends, smh! I ended up having to cancel my flight and trip to Florida because of this poor communication.
But my horrible experience did not end there. The day before arrival they call and say there will be an extra $ 300 fee because they have to repack all my items onto a smaller truck. According to them a 18wheel semi truck would not fit on my block. Although, I have seen them parked on my block before and I tried to tell them otherwise. I reluctantly agreed to pay the extra fees because I just wanted my stuff and for this nightmare to be over.
Once again when they arrived they wanted to charge extra fees for stairs. All after unpacking half of my things. This time I refused because I had no more cash and they had already robbed me enough. Again no answer when I tried to call their offices. Finally, after me not budging the guy admitted that he was wrong about the extra fee and apologized. Overall, all my items we delivered in good condition they were some screws missing from my bed and couch but that was it.
All together the WORST customer service of my life!!! I totally think they take advantage of you when you are in a vulnerable situation. I am glad to see more people writing bad reviews on this company because no one should be able to get away this.

I’m moving from Santa Barbara, CA to Atlanta, GA. The moving crew in Santa Barbara were very quick, friendly, and professional.
Their estimated cost is conservative, as they base the size of your furniture off «average» sizes for each piece of furniture, which I thought were pretty small «averages». There are additional fees for long carry, stairs, packing materials, and bulky items (items that take a lot of space and can’t be deconstructed, like tables with legs that aren’t removable).
However, I got all of my items shipped for the estimated price plus the additional fees that I was aware of head of time.
The total, actual cost ended up being the best price of any company I’d gotten a bid from.

It’s one thing to move yourself and completely another when it’s my 70″ s y old Fox
Elite delivered there things on Monday .
My mom called me last night and thanked me for having this guy’s handle there move.
The truck arrived on Sunday as scheduled but my dad was not filling good so they ask if it’s possible to do it the next morning, even that my Fox asked originally to have it Sunday afternoon
The guy’s said no problem and came back the next morning to do it.
For that I’m very thankful

I use elite moving to move my daughter back home from San Francisco. She was going thru a hard divorce and needed to move out asap. I did some searching on line and found them on Angie’s list. I called and schedule the move for the next day. They where such a blest. The movers was so kind and polite. They did such a great job. My daughter was very pleased. I highly recommend using them.

The Team in LA:
I mainly was in communication with Mary. Donna occasionally assisted my mother and I in finalizing the plans. Mary was great in the beginning and at the end of my service. You are told to contact the company the day before your pick up and confirm your items and your quote. Mary and I emailed back and fourth until finally I called to clear up all confusion. Mary was VERY defensive on the phone when I inquired about the fees and new estimate. It got to the point that I had to ask her to stop interrupting me and listen to what I was asking. My mother called her as well to make sure all was good with the final price and dealt with the same issue. Now looking back I could understand her defensive attitude due to the amount of reviews complaining about unexpected pricing. However I felt that she should be accustom to this and have better customer service manners by now.
The Movers on Arrival Day:
Ali and his team were great regarding packing my items. Ali was familiar with my complex and made sure to do whatever it took for the move to go smoothly. I had packed all my boxes, bubbled wrapped my fragile items and plastic wrapped any loose items. The only things left for the movers to do was wrap my furniture and pack it into the truck. They worked really quickly for only a 3-​man team, and I felt my items would be pretty safe on the trip.
The ESTIMATE AND FEES:
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION! As written above, my mother and I were thorough, calling almost every week to ask questions, confirm prices, fees and quotes. Now I will say this THE CONTRACT STATES THAT YOU HAVE TO PAY EXTRA FEES! THIS INCLUDES FOR STAIRS, ELEVATORS, LONG CARRY FEES, PACKING MATERIALS! What this company FAILED TO MENTION is HOW MUCH THE FEES ARE and how your ESTIMATE can add up to becoming $ 2000 MORE THAN WHAT IS QUOTED!!! They did not tell us the fees until the day that they arrived and had began packing everything. You get charged for the rolls of tape that they use to pack your furniture, the plastic wrap that they use for items and any extra packing material you request! Ali charges me $ 150 for the elevator (which was only suppose to be $ 75) and when I asked why, I was told this was a charge by the «cubic feet of the elevator!» I was later issued a $ 75 refund because come to find out, THIS WAS NOT TRUE! He had decided to charge me for the elevator at my new home, which I told him I DID NOT HAVE! This information was also listed on the paperwork he filled out with me!
I was charged 521.34 for the packing materials which included mattress covers (plastic), mirror packing materials (which I requested), and the tape which is about $ 4 per roll! I was also charged $ 375 for the «long carry» fee which Ali parked the truck across the street saying that it would be «easier for the move and this complex is known not to allow trucks at the front.» This was a false statement due to the fact that I have witnessed trucks parked in the very front of buildings.
If you decide to do a long distance move with Elite:
*ASK FOR A LIST OF THE FEES CHARGED FOR THIS MOVE!!! ALL PACKING MATERIAL FEES, THE REFERENCE USED FOR THE LONG CARRY FEE, EVERYTHING!!! Though we thought we were covering all of our bases, clearly they still got one over on us.
*Look into moving companies that come to your place to look at what you have! I was told by Ali that my estimate was just that, and being that «THEY DONT COME TO YOUR HOME TO VIEW WHAT YOU HAVE,» they estimate weight, and the sq. footage by the list you give them. WOULDN’T IT BE SMART TO GO TO YOUR CUSTOMERS PLACE FOR MORE ACCURATE ESTIMATES BEING THAT YOU’RE COMPANY IS CLEARLY HAVING ISSUES WITH PRICING???
Movers in Dallas:
THE BEST TEAM IN THE WORLD! It was only two guys (which one was the driver) and they got my items into my third floor apartment within two hours! They unwrapped the furniture, set everything up and were SO SWEET! They were understanding about my frustration with the team from LA and really LISTENED and worked with me!
I will say this about Elite, ALL ITEMS ARRIVED SAFELY! No scratches, nothing broken, all in great condition. With the exception of my ironing board having a rip in the cover (which is nothing) and the boxes having punctures and looking like they had went through a war to get to me.
Like I stated, look into other companies that take the time to come to your place and see everything you have so that your estimate is more accurate. I turned down Alias moving company when they quoted me $ 2000 after coming to look at everything. This was because Elite told me I would only be charged $ 1700 with a military discount. BIG MISTAKE! I have learned my lesson and now know the right questions to ask next time!

found them through my son in law and they are the greatest. we were sick when they moved our entire furnishings out of our 4 bed room house in Palos Verdes, kept all of our stuff in storage for 3 years at their facility and then finally moved us back into a townhouse in Encino. Nice people showed up both times (moving out & in) and they took care of our stuff. it was like opening presents to see our stuff again after 3 years. great job and thanks.

Here’s the letter I sent to Donna at Elite Storage in Sun Valley, CA over a week ago along with phone calls and not one response to what happened to us during our move last month:
Dear Donna,

As of yesterday, March 7, 2015, I have completed unpacking all items that were packed by your team, kept at your storage and delivered again by your team all within one month’s timeframe. All of that being stated, I have never had a move of any distance (this being the smallest) where so many things are broken or missing.
BROKEN:
wooden heirloom jewelry box
2 wine glasses
1 drinking glass
Vitamix blender pulse button demolished ($ 750 — only three months old)
crushed authentic straw cowboy hat the was placed at the bottom of a box of heavy items
cushioned sitting stool
(There was one box where a large oriental lantern that had a glass candle inside it’s glass chamber was packed with a ceramic outdoor fountain, a rod iron plant holder, a metal kerosene lamp a ceramic piece of art from mexico were all packed together with absolutely NO tissue, NO paper, No bubble wrap, NO packing of any kind!!! Yet, by some miracle, none of these items broke.)

This was the 1^st time I hired movers. (I have been fortunate enough to have an awesome sister and friends to help me in the past.) Since no one was really up for moving me again (and I don’t blame them), I decided to hire movers. I had a pleasant experience with Elite. They showed up on time, did not dilly dally and moved my stuff up 2 flights of stairs (without knowing ahead of time my new place was on the 3^rd floor!) I’m sure they had some choice words under their breath but were not rude to me one bit. I even forgot to use my Unilocal certificate and Donna is working to get that back on to my credit card. The next time I move, which I hope is not for a long time more, I will absolutely consider using Elite again.

I want to specify, since there are a few Elites, that this is the one in Sun Valley, CA.

This company provides excellent and 100% professional service. From the first phone call i made until the day we moved the follow up was above superior customer service. They did everything they said they would and more

I had written two reviews already and I will continue until they take accountability for their actions or until this company goes out of business, You pretty much hire them to damage your personal belongings, Moving price is not cheap and obviously they do not have a state to state good moving service, THEY WILL DAMAGE YOUR STUFF! I have a claim, but it has been already five months that I have not heard for a solution on my stuff, they have damaged my Brand New $ 1000 Mattress along with a furniture and other items. PLEASE IF YOU HAVE HAD SAME EXPERIENCE KEEP POSTING TO LET KNOW NEW CUSTOMERS ABOUT THIS COMPANY OVER AND OVER AND OVER UNTIL THEY GO OUT OF BUSINESS! They are ripping off good people who are looking to use a moving company. Same on them, SHAME ON DONNA! who is the owner/​manager!

Whatever you do, where ever you go, do not, repeat, do not use elite storage and moving, like I said storage and moving, I have waited almost 3 full weeks and it is still in Vegas. They charge more than they offer and are very unprofessional, immature, and, I think the’ll lie about anything to shut you up!
Like I said, do not ever even consider them ! Drag all your belongings across the country on a wheel barrel and you will get there faster and cheaper!
