Great selection of organic foods, much better than other chains. Staff is friendly and helpful. Considering its so small, it has almost everything one needs. Only thing is that their mens room is always what my husband calls the scariest bathroom he has been to in his life. That is really sad Vons/​Safeway cause the ladies is not that bad usually and Albertsons is always perfectly clean. The store really needs a renovation to update it from the fifties, maybe they can tear out the filthy restroom and build a new one that they actually clean once a year, or just make it so it can be hosed down, ha. This store could use a security guard, they seem to have a lot of theft here, I see something shady going on a lot.

9 out of 10 times the checkers seem to be doing you a favor by checking you out.
The «service» deli staff is generally bothered when they have to stop to make a sandwich, get food or do their job! The last straw with the deli was when the new manager (I think) was making a chicken bacon wrap for me, asked it I wanted it heated, which I said yes, proceeded to put ranch dressing, chicken, bacon and cheese on, then ask what else I wanted on there. I again reminded her that I wanted it hot, not understanding why she would put ranch on there first, she responded very short, «I know» She then rolled it up and put it in the oven. I refused it, call me crazy, but I do NOT want hot ranch, lettuce and tomato. I am not sure if she was having a bad day, but this was the cherry on top for me after years of mediocre service from this «service» deli.

There are lots of choices for grocery stores in the sun city/​menifee area but this vons is the best in terms of selection. They have a wonderful organic section for fruits and veggies! They also sell a lot of unique, fresh products. For example i love to buy their fresh marinara sauce (its refridgerated in the store). The von’s fresh soups are also out of this world. The biggest selling point for me is the deli. Although most of the time the people in the deli seem irritated about their job, the deli meat (when sliced fresh) is really delicious. The checkers usually are friendly and the store is well stocked. I can find unique food products here and i love that.
Also, i have had a great experience with their florist as well. The flowers are very fresh, healthy and beautiful. If you need to grab flowers (or a special plant) for any occasion, Vons is your place.
The store would 5 stars but i had to take one off because the poor employee attitudes in the deli.

After staying away from this store for something like one to two years, I went in about six months ago to pick up something so I wouldn’t have to drive further to Winco and I was amazed how the store has greatly improved. I now shop here on a regular basis.
Jamie and Ann Marie in produce are phenomenal. Jamie makes sure there are LOTS of healthy produce (including vegetarian salad kits) and both of these employees are very pro-​consumer!
The new manager, Paul, has been very responsive to my suggestions and always very helpful when I have an issue or question.
Seems like I FINALLY got this store trained after eight years of letter writing to corporate, so my efforts must have finally paid off.
It still needs a remodeling in the worst way, but with the economy such as it is, I doubt that will be done anytime soon.

This particular Vons I was not fond of. I just felt an off vibe with it. They do have a great selection and obviously some items will be over priced. It’s sad that I was actually looking forward to leaving so quickly. Usually I enjoy grocery shopping.

The store is clean and well stocked with much better shoppers than the other grocery stores in the area (maybe I am a little bit of a snob). Love the bakery and deli section. The service use to be great, but over the years all of the best employees have been transferred to other stores. The current service is still good, but far from the excellence that I was use to receiving.

I don’t frequently shop at Von’s, but have been in a handful of them over the years. This particular store isn’t nearly as nice as most, and doesn’t have the selection I expect when I go to a Von’s.
So just A-​OK, nothing too special, but no real complaints.

I was never a vons shopper and decided to go in and was surprised. The employees where very helpful and respectful. My grandfather needs help finding things and they helped out a lot. A lot of people come here and the employees know a lot by name. Nice market

Have really only gone here to fill my father’s prescriptions. The associates working at the pharmacy are nice and after a few visits now know who I am. My only complaint is the wait… If there are more than 2 people in line, I would recommend coming back… you’ll be there awhile.

Good little supermarket. The cashiers may be some of the best I’ve seen or dealt with. I’m here almost everyday for something. Produce is ok, not the best but eatable. The store is geared more the the elderly market which is ok this is a 55 plus community, I’m not 55.
Checking out is a little slow, only because elderly customer, taking about there health, crappy kids, dead relatives and writing checks, (Yes people still do this in the grocery store) or the most annoying counting out change. It can take up to 5 minutes to count out .74 cents, I’ve seen it.
It’s funny how many customers get in line, load of all there groceries and forget that they have to pay for them.
Anyway is a good store and comical in many ways.

Everyone is always so nice! My husband & I are regulars. We love how they remember who you are. We don’t ever really have any problem with selection. Good store.

THE WORST grocery store in the world. They have NO quick check and really don’t give a shit if you have to wait. They have the HIGHEST prices of any store in the area. For example: a small bag of Fresh Express romaine lettuce costs $ 3.99. Holy shit, the exact same bag costs $ 1.62 at Winco. It’s the same across the board, THIS STORE IS A RIP-​OFF. NEVER WILL THEY EVER GET ANOTHER DIME FROM ME, Shit service, shit prices, dirty store, the worst over-​priced produce section all adds up to a disaster. It’s well worth driving past them the extra 3 – 4 miles to Winco.

I think that they are all a great bunch, from behind the counters to the check out registers and anyone else around.
They sure know how to do the customer service thing, they are a leading example.

I’ve been going to this Vons for at least 4 years and never had anythiing but polite, helpful checkers. Bakery staff are so nice! They always greet you saying, «Good morning» and ask if they can help you find anything. Try any bagel, you’ll love it.
