We are a full service animal hospital with laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, dentistry, laser surgery and boarding. Our hospital has been accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association since 1974 and we currently employ 5 veterinarians, 5 certified veterinary technicians, 1certified veterinary technician specializing in dentistry, 2 veterinary assistants and 4 client service representatives.

Our boarding facility, Sun City Pet Lodge has been accredited by the Pet Care Services Association since 2006. We employ 4 pet care providers that are mature, responsible and have successfully achieved certification through the Pet Care Services Association. Stop by for a tour and see why we’re different!

History

Established in 1969.

The business was started by Dr. Ronald Sigler, DVM. Dr. Sigler later went on to start the Eye Clinic for Animals.

We were founded to help pets and their parents lead happy, healthy lives, and we are here for your questions about veterinary care, surgical services, orthopedic surgery, radiology services, animal dentistry, permanent identification, dietary counseling, behavioral counseling, acupuncture, boarding, bathing, and emergency care.

I took our Yorkie, Marlee for a regular check-​up and as usual we were treated cordially by the girls at the front desk. Marlee was called by name and her name was on a blackboard with other pets names coming in that day. Shortly we were greeted by a Tech who couldn’t have been nicer to Marlee and then Dr. Johnson came in the room and did a thorough exam. We have been going to this clinic for many years and have never been disappointed, our pets are treated with loving kindness and professionalism. They may be slightly more than others but the extra care they give and by their going that extra mile makes it more than worthwhile. Thank you all!!! Donna Mumaw

We are new to the area and had not found a veterinarian yet. We found us in a spot where we needed a vet ASAP I googled and found this particular that Sun City Animal Hospital was very close to our house so I thought we would start there. Jessica was very helpful on the phone and was able to get us in the next morning for a visit. Dr. Roe was very informed of our dogs medical condition and also very helpful. Our dog Zona seemed to really like her. I am very comfortable going to them. I even called my old Vet back from Indiana and told them i was very happy with our new Vet. Thank you ladies we appreciate your help with Zona.

I was getting my car serviced two doors down, sitting in the waiting area with my dog, and I noticed my dog was bleeding from his nail. Another customer waiting suggested I walk two doors down to this animal hospital to see if they could examine my dog’s nail while I was waiting on my car. I walk into the hospital holding my dog, and the employee sitting at the counter didn’t acknowledge me at first. When she finally did, I told her that my dog’s nail started bleeding while I was two doors down. She reached over the counter and grabbed his injured paw. He cried. I pulled him away so she wouldn’t hurt him and asked if anyone could take a quick look at him since I was waiting on my car and couldn’t take him anywhere else for the time being. She seemed annoyed and put me in an examination room with some paperwork. After I filled it out, she returned and said nobody had time to look at him and sent me on my way with a flyer for Emergency Animal Clinics. It’s totally okay and makes perfect sense that they couldn’t take my dog at such short notice, but in no way is it even remotely acceptable to grab my dog’s injured paw over the counter. Where did these people learn how to handle animals?

We have used this vet since we moved here in 2005, and have gone through a number of doctors. We had Dr. Dawson, Dr. Flick, Dr. McCallister, Dr. Johnson, Dr. Dutson and now Dr. Ashworth. All of them have been very good with our cats, and the service has been excellent. They were very sympathetic when we had to put down 3 of our cats over the years, and sent us cards after the deaths. Since the purchase, they have changed staff almost completely and the number of doctors and techs seem to have diminished, but that may just be an effect of the recession. We currently go to Dr. Leah Ashworth who is very nice and concerned for the health of our pets. My only real complaint is that they did away with the separate cat area and combined it into one waiting room. It can get scary for cats there when there are a number of loud dogs in the room. Hours have extended but the wait time is still pretty good. Most of the doctors who have left have either retired or went part-​time for family reason. The overall atmosphere is very nice and the prices are comparable to other practices. We are very satisfied with them

All they care about is selling $ 500 Paws Plus insutance policy. What a rip off. We now use Grand Paws (Dr Sink) and they are great!

I take both of my Bull Terriers to Sun City Animal Hospital. Going to the Vet is never fun but the folks at Sun City Animal Hospital are always warm and genuinely pleased to see you and your four legged family member. We have had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Pollyann Johnson DVM, Dr. Steven McAllister DVM, and Dr. Jennifer Flick DVM. All Doctors take plenty of time to answer any and all questions you may have about the health of your pet and never give you, ‘the bums rush’. In an era where customer service is an after thought, the committed staff and medical professionals are sincerely dedicated to the well being of your pet.
