This place is amazing. So kind, caring and wonderful staff. Without them my puppies may not be alive today. They did a wonderful job caring for my 2 huskies! I highly recommend them! Thank you!

Took my 10 year old bull dog «Monty» in for breathing issues, the staff was friendly, knowable and caring about my pups medial needs, the wait was within reason, the service was quick and the Doctor was knowledge and made us feel at ease, it’s a horrible experience having your pet have a medical emergency but the staff at the Peoria EAC helped make the episode not so frighting.
I called in the morning to get my medical records Faxed to my own animal hospital for a follow-​up and the person that did answer the phone was a bit short with me but I had to realize I’m not the ONLY owner that was seen last night and there was more pressing cases then mine, I feel that when they have a moment my records will be faxed and I feel secure in there hospital ability to care and treat any of my other pets in case there are in need.

We took our kitten on Sunday because of a infection from a recent spay. The place was extremely busy and we waited over three hours before we seen a vet. The vet was nice and explained what needed to be done. We had the treatment done and picked up the cat after a hour and half. We were instructed to have a follow up in three days with our vet. I noticed the area of the wound was not that clean and commented on how the her fur was matted. They gave her a good antibiotic but did not give any instructions on caring for the wound. We took her to out vet Today because the infection was so rampant. They could not understand why no
instruction on irrigating and taken care of the would was listed on care instructions. We are now treating to hopefully stay off a surgery to save the Kitten. I do not know if they were over whelmed because of the number of patients but the care was lacking. The vet did diagnose the problem and the treatment to help it just was not followed through. Will only use if vet is not available or it is life or death Care does not meet the amount charged and by the way what is a courtesy
charge for the was added to the bill? Was that for the small water my wife had.

Horrible. First time I took my pet there, the service was good as far as the vet. But they charged me for specialist services (radiologist) for which I was to receive a report. I never did. Over all fee: over $ 800.
Second time I went there, they were totally incompetent. They did not know what they were doing, did not treat my pet and returned her to me in as much pain or more than when I took her in. They gave me some medication to give her. Medication that they said I knew how to give her because I was already giving it to her. I did not have a clue what the medication was or what it was for. Still don’t. $ 600.
That was just the start. Do not take your pet here unless you have no other options.
They do not review your pets history (even though they have treated the pet before). My pet came home in as much pain as she was when we went there. With a lame explanation as to what might be causing it because they said they could not treat her. Then they claim they could only treat her that much because that is all I authorized. I authorized anything they could and needed to do — no restrictions.
They even tried to tell me just to take her home an wait 3 days for her regular vet because she was so difficult (because she was in pain).
Total malpractice in my opinion.
Then they tried to blame it on me; saying I was difficult to deal with .
My poor pet is now home crying in pain.

I have no clue why you just left a response to my review, stating that you were able to speak with my husband. I am not married. Please, in the future, just tell people who call that you have a six-​hour wait and urine on the floor. Don’t leave them hanging in the waiting room. I could have gone somewhere else. I could have driven to another city. When the fees are as excessive as yours, you can afford to be honest with people up front. Instead, the company spends money on a PR gal to respond to negative reviews.

WONDERFUL PEOPLE! My 50lb pittie, Millie, ingested oleander plants about 10 hours before we realized what had happened and brought her in. The staff was extremely calm, sympathetic, and patient during the entire process. Millie needed to stay over night to be treated and closely monitored for changes. We visited to quietly sit with her 4 – 5 times and called probably just as much to check her status. Not once did a staff member seem frustrated or irritated by our concern. Thank you to you all for your professionalism and uplifting spirits. Our Millie was back by our daughters side, perfectly well, before she even knew she was gone. Again, THANK YOU!

Awful, just awful. When you’re at your most vulnerable, watching your beloved animal struggling for it’s life, and you get the care that I did, you’d agree.
Typically, a spay on a cat costs $ 65 at a spay/​neuter clinic, or between $ 100 — $ 300 at an upscale veterinarian. Well, my cat started to have a prolapsed uterus and needed an urgent spay. This facility quoted me $ 4000 if I wanted an actual doctor to perform the procedure, and $ 3000 if I didn’t’ mind a tech doing it. When I asked why it was so much, they said, «We have lots of equipment here that most vets don’t have.» That didn’t mean they were going to be using that equipment on my cat, as they weren’t, but that it was at their disposal. It was not necessary that they use any of it in a spay.
When we went scheduled to pick up the cat at 5:00 AM in the morning (the time they set), we’d requested that the vet hold her until 6:00 AM (we’d been up all night dealing with the worry from her health concerns). The vet doubled the price FOR ONE HOUR.
When we got home, my cats paw was purple, double the size, and cold. The gauze from where the IV was removed was so tight it had cause physical damage to my cats arm.
This place is a racket and should be out of business. They’re nothing short of highway robbery. I’ve been a breeder of unique cats for almost 20 years, a resident of Arizona since 1977, and cannot believe that this place can treat people and animals like this. I encourage other veterinarians to consider having 24 hour operations and charge an increased rate for after-​hours care, but not charging $ 4000 for a procedure that my vet would have done for between $ 65 (
— Dr. Scot Diskin) or $ 110 (Crossroads Animal Hospital — Dr. Tom Leber.) And then on top of that HURTING my animal when sending it home with improperly securing the gauze. Completely incompetent, substandard services and care.
Don’t go into severe debt to line the pockets of greedy establishments like this. Most vets are available to emergencies, so align yourself with one of those. This place is awful.

I was surprised to learn of not only a weekend veterinary service, but a 24-​hour vet service. They were busy when Molly and I arrived Saturday evening. It took a couple of hours to get through — but the doctor and everyone there was great! They helped us gain control of a bad health situation.

They did a great job with our VERY shy puppy! She required a muzzle for treatment, but they handled it like a pro. The staff here is friendly and professional. We were very pleased.

They did a great job of assessing our dog and delivering the news and advice with compassion and realistic expectations. All of the staff clearly cared and were excellent to deal with. I’d recommend them for any animal emergency.

I came home from the gym to find my wife sitting on the couch crying with a sick cat in her lap. I immediately did a quick search for and emergency vet as it almost 7pm. I found and contacted the Emergency Animal Clinic and I am glad I did. We drove over right away with our cat JJ. The front desk staff was professional, courteous, and caring. The took JJ in the back for triage and initial exam. After a sort while we were called into an exam room to meet with a Vet. She went over various diagnostic options. Some were within my pet budget and some were not. The did as I asked and and hour later or so we had some results to them begin to make some treatment decisions. I would highly recommend the Emergency Animal Clinic for your emergency pet needs. realize like going to the «people» emergency room, be prepared for the a higher cost the a regular vet visit.

I was fortunate to have had 2 excellent vets and an extremely caring staff take care of my cat who had a life threatening bladder blockage. I was allowed to see him in the care facility and was completely informed to his condition. He had to spend 2 nights here till he was well enough to transport to my regular vet.
Unfortunately it isn’t cheap to get this kind of care so my advice to all pet owners is to save your money for an emergency pet fund if a crisis does occur so you won’t have to deny care to your loved one because of money.

My poor baby got sick this weekend and it was life threatening. They were fast, informative and took great care of him. I do wish they were a little more affordable though.

Sadly, I had to bring my 13 year old Bichon who had lung cancer here on June 11^th because he was having difficulty breathing. Concerning even more is the fact that his chemo vet in Phoenix actually delivered him to me in that condition a few hours earlier without it raising her eyebrow. I thought he was just choking himself to get out of there… after we got home and it continued — I realized there was a problem. «Hind sight» she said this morning… «hindsight, she should have taken xrays when I said he was coughing so much». Perhaps «hindsight» will save her next patient.
But the ER in Peoria made up for the «VET SPECIALIST» he was seeing. They were fast getting him in… gave him something to relax him… did the xray and a test for Valley Fever. Of course, I hoped for the latter. Alas it was not meant to be and I did not allow my boy to suffer. I wish ALL vets in Arizona were as kind, caring, competent and cost effective as the ER in Peoria. I am so consumed with grief at the loss of my boy. he fought so hard… but they made it a bit better… I thank them for not allowing my boy any more pain and I most certainly thank them for being the type of professionals that actually cared about practicing medicine and NOT just worried about their banker’s hours and money. After my 8 lb poodle was attached by a coyote, I went there. The staff and doctor were very nice and took good care of my dog Bradley. This will be my go to ER for all my pets.

Took our senior citizen cat because of a recent bout of intestinal problems, the staff could not be more concerned and helpful. When we saw the doctor, she spent a great amount of time with us explaining all the various possible causes of our cat’s distress and all the ways to treat them. We decided on a course of action and our little girl appears much better.
The facility was spotless and we were taken care of in a timely fashion. We don’t want to return anytime soon for obvious reasons, but the doctor and the staff were all very professional and wanted to do what was best for both patient and «parents», we would highly recommend the Emergency Animal Clinic for anyone who has a pet in need of immediate care.

Went at about 11 pm because my dog had an allergic reaction. They saw her right away and were really good with her. A little background is she’s a rescue pup and gets skiddish sometimes. They seemed to know how to work with her well. They gave her her medication and offered several other tests but didn’t push them on me.
Overall it was a decent experience for having a sick pet. Just wish it wasn’t so darn expensive. We were out visiting family at the time so the extra bill really hit us.

The most important thing to me on a Friday night when my dog is shaking and won’t move around, and my children are freaking the heck out, is that the staff are compassionate and make my children feel at ease. This place fit that bill — they told me the «bad news» without the chilren in the room, and the «good news» with the kids there. That’s compassionate care. (And, by the way, our dog is fine. The bad news was just worse case scenario, and I’m glad my kids didn’t hear it!)

If I could give 0 stars I would. I brought my dog in with an injury, and she was unable to walk. After I filled out the paperwork, a vet tech took my dog into a back room to be examined by the vet while I waited in the lobby. I asked to go with her, but they wouldn’t allow it (red flag). When they returned after the exam, the vet told me that she couldn’t find anything wrong, and that my dog was happily walking and stable enough to go home. I tried to get my dog to walk, but she was still unable, and when I asked the vet about it, she accused me of calling her a liar. She wouldn’t do a further exam or x-​rays because she had ‘an emergency surgery to do’. She said I could wait 3−4hrs, and when I refused she said she’d write on my file that I ‘was refusing treatment’.
I left and took my dog to Banfield (in PetSmart). After examining her for no more than 2 minutes, the vet found that both hip/​thigh ligaments were completely severed (this was later proven with an x-​ray). It is physically impossible for the dog to have walked at the emergency clinic, so I believe the vet flat out lied. In addition to the severed ligaments, there were also spinal injuries.
The vet at EAC that night (Dr B on 1÷14÷15) was unprofessional, incapable, dishonest, and careless, sending home a dog who was seriously injured, in a lot of pain, and ultimately had to be put down due to her injuries.

I would definitely recommend this place if your pet needs to be seen urgently. The outcome can be a bit pricey and that’s why I gave it one less of a star. As well as the facility not being the cleanest. We sat in a waiting room for hours with blood on the floor.
On the other hand… the staff is wonderful, compassionate, and quick to help as well as keeping you at ease. They all seem knowledgable which also helps leaving your friend at their care, especially if you can’t be back there with them.
