I don’t recommend this place. Mainly because they are slow. I came wanting a fill and a pedicure… I left with only a pedicure. Why you ask? Well even if you didn’t I’m going to tell you… because the pedicure took 1.5 hours. That’s after I sat here for 30 minutes waiting while they only had my friend and myself at the time. I don’t even understand… and because of this I won’t be back… ever.

I’ve been to better nail salons. Their customer service is a force to be reckoned with. I went in with my daughter and mom. I asked how much for a basic pedicure for me and my daughter and a full set for my mom. She said $ 20 a pedicure and $ 30 for the set. Okay cool. It took her 2 hours to do a full set. Then charges me $ 22 a pedicure and $ 33 for the full set. They quote you one thing and charge you something else without a decent explanation. I paid the bill but will never return!

********* edit ********* So I ended up leaving. After the tech finally started my pedicure, she gets up after 5 minutes… And comes back 20 minutes later(17 to be exact) at that point, I stopped her, declined all services, and the $ 7 discount that was offered. After 3 years I can officially say they have lost a regular customer. ******* end edit ******* A year ago I would have given them a 5… But now barely a 3. While composing this review I have now been in the chair for 45 minutes. The water has gotten cold, they’ve topped it off twice with hot water. I have a massage chair that does not work. Aside from the owner, there are all new faces here. The pedicurist seems a little timid, which is giving me cause question the quality of her work… That’s TBD. If I was getting groceries I might duck off for a quick pedi, but I can honestly say this will be my last trip here specifically for nails.

I have a love/hate relationship with this place. Love the pedicures, hate the gel manicures. So I first discovered this place when a friend and I were shopping at the grocery store. Hold up – a nail salon inside the grocery store, eek. well, we decided to give it a try anyway. I got a gel manicure and my friend got a pedicure. The whole time I was watching my friend get her pedi, I was envious. The standard pedi included the spa tub, a hot stone massage, AND a hot wax treatment. wha wha? Those add on’s would usually cost a fortune. but at this place they come with the standard pedi. whoo! So my friend walked out with a perfect pedicure and nicely massaged feet, while I walked out with a sub par gel manicure. Now listen up girlies, if you are familiar with good gel manicure places, you know that they are NOT supposed to put polish right up against to the top of your nail(where your skin meets your nail). Why you ask? because if they do, when your nail grows out, there will be tiny little areas between your nail and the polish. and this is horribly annoying! It looks very bad, and it gets stuck in your hair wheneverrr you touch your hair. no bueno. The last manicurist I used to go to(in DC), did a perfect job. I have yet to find someone like that in Houston :( BUT since I had seen what a wonderful job they did on my friends pedicure, I decided to come back here with my mom for our monthly pedi session. It was a wonderful experience. Needless to say, my mom LOVED it. Her job requires her to be on her feet all day, so the hot stone massage and hot wax treatment was perfect and oh so relaxing. Both pedicurists took their sweet time, and even massaged our legs for a good long while. We loved it. It did cost a bit more than we usually pay, and they charged for strange things(like the liner, what?). I’m not sure if we’ll be coming back here for our monthly pedi’s but I think we’ll definitely be returning when we want an extra little pazaaz added to our pedi’s. As for the salon itself, it’s surprisingly nice for being inside of a grocery store. It’s nicely decorated and very clean. All the equipment they used is sterilized(at least that’s how they made it look). Can’t wait to come back here for another pedi!

The lady who helped me do my mani was so rough! She pushed the cuticle back so hard that it hurts, then when she was cutting the cuticles, she pulled it hard too and she buffed my finger nails but didn’t shine it. I was very uncomfortable and I told her to be gentle. But still– rough! Also, they judged you for not wanting the massage! I just don’t like the smell of the lotion and decided not wanting the massage! Then they started speaking in Vietnamese. Why would you care for not wanting the massage? Lesser work for you? No good? I’m still paying the same price, why bother? I paid $ 11 for mani && $ 27 for pedi. It ended up $ 38!!! WHY??? Because you have to pay $ 1 for the liner ! How much would it cost for that plastic liner? My best guess is 15cents! And they made me pay for that! Not happy at all! Never come back!!!

Visited the spa for the first time today around 3pm(Thursday). I was greeted and waited on immediately. I had a shellac manicure. The technician was nice and did a great job. The neck massage and hot towels at the end were a nice surprise. The price was a little more than I’m used to($ 35) but I feel it was worth it. The inside was clean and relaxing. I will definitely go back.
