Marc is one of the best and clearly adds the spark that parties need to have to be the most successful. He is super diversified with his music, easy to work with and engaging with his audience and/​or people attending an event for which you may have perform. Recommend him highly.

This is a little late, but definitely still wanted to post. I had hired Marc and his bass player to play at my organization’s annual holiday party this past December. They were to be kind of «background» and I asked for some standard holiday music as well as some soft jazz. Well, Marc delivered magnificently! The music was absolutely perfect. And he was perfect as well. Yes, in the background but also with enough presence to make the music heard and fully enjoyed. I couldn’t have been happier… it was excellent! Thank you very much, Marc!

So this is an update to my last review. We hired Marc to perform at our wedding reception, which was held at out home for about 60 people. Marc did an amazing job! Our guests loved him, and some of our guests even sang a few songs with him. His repertoire is extensive and is even great at improvising.
His performance was the highlight of our event, and I can’t imagine not having him on our special day. He really loves what he does for a living, and it shows. He even spent some extra time at our party making sure our guests were thoroughly entertained. Everyone kept commenting on how great he is.
I highly recommend Marc for any event, corporate, private, or otherwise. Hire him! You’ll be glad you did.

Marc was excellent!!! Had him solo our Christmas Party for 60 people at the house, he did a great job. Highly recommend Marc if you are looking for quality entertainment.

I worked with Marc on a company event. He was very easy to communicate with in the planning stage, listened to exactly what the company wanted and had a large variety of music in his repertoire that we could choose from. On the day of the event he was extremely professional and a pleasure to work with. He’s a talented musician who loves what he does and it definitely shows in the music that he plays. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the music and we will definitely be working with Marc again in the future.

Marc is the kind of guy you usually ignore. He’s the piano man. He’s the guy who plays the music to fill in the gaps of conversation while you fumble for words to say to the stranger who you’ve regretfully invited to eat with you, whom you’ve just met on Tinder, hoping for an escape from this nightmare you’ve found yourself in.
And then it happens… the man at the piano plays a sweet tune that brings a smile to the face of your date. It’s an oldie but goodie. She begins to sing along and you find yourself awkwardly smiling and looking around because you don’t know how this is going to turn out.
She encourages me to sing along: «You know the words!» she says. Of course I do, it’s Journey… I hesitate. she gives me a prod. So I give in.
Fast forward 10 mins and we’re at the piano, drinks in hand, arms around each other… and Marc, belting out tune after tune. An hour went by and the lights came on. It was the end of the night and I didn’t want to leave. I tipped Marc and took a card… and then gave the man a big hug. I think we connected that night.
I just found his card in my jacket pocket. It’s been almost year since I saw him, but now that I’ve found him here on Unilocal I had to share my story, I can’t wait to have another great night, sharing a piano bench with him.
As for the girl. she took the midnight train going anywhere.

We hired Marc for our wedding at the famous Biltmore Hotel and WOW is he just AMAZING! I initially contacted Marc, and he was quick to respond and so nice and caring. He helped work with me on my budget and even let us come to his studio to discuss song options since we really had no idea! He had great suggestions, especially since our theme was 1920’s/30’s. He knew so many great songs and he sure can play and sing! He played piano for our ceremony, and then played piano and sang during cocktail hour… what a great voice! Everyone was so impressed with him. I would definitely hire him again for another event. Seriously… MARC IS YOUR GUY! Thanks Marc!

If you’ve been in LA for any time at all you notice the vast divide between the din of placid background noise and GOOD music and/​or entertainment. Nevermind the decreasing talent pool in what used to be a city overflowing with talented musicians.
Hallelujah and Huzzah for Marc Bosserman for being a ridiculously talented, incredibly, entertaining, soulful and engaging pianist and musician.
I’ve seen Marc countless times over the last 3 or 4 years at intimate venues all over LA, allowing a varying degree of musician/​audience interactivity. Bottom line: whatever the venue, Marc delivers and you leave with a smile on your face and a song in your heart.

When some of the local musicians show up its like one of those piano galleries at Huston & A in Greenwich Village where everybody can sing harmony with each other.

OK OK OK enough about the venues (and you need to follow his newsletter to keep up). Let’s talk about Marc as an artist.
Hmmmm how to describe Marc?
It’s as if some Vulcan mad scientist he mind melded the musical virtuosity of Harry Conick, Jr & Nat King Cole, the whimsy and David Frishberg and Bob Dorough (of Schoolhouse Rock fame), the delivery and bluesy ya ya ya’s of Mose Allison and the sensitivity of Cole Porter.
OK ya really just gotta seem him — you’ll get it when you see him trust me.

Every time that I have the pleasure of being at an event that Marc is performing at, I am thoroughly entertained and blown out by his awesome keys… Been at holiday events, birthdays, fundraisers and what a thrill to see him while I have dinner or a cocktail.
He seems to know every song that I request and works his magic with each one. Because you are reading this, perhaps you are considering hiring him. I say He** Yes!
Consummate professional and top-​notch artist!

I found Marc through Unilocal and decided to give it a shot and ask him to play for a big family party (40 people +). I contacted him and heard back from him promptly. His rates for the service he was providing (considering the range of songs he can play/​sing) were too good to be true!
Fast forward to the night of the party– Marc showed up on time and was totally professional. He really got the party started by playing songs that gathered even the most senior family members around the piano. He even brought tambourines and shakers to have people play along with him. He was so great that we asked him to stay 2 hours longer than we had booked him for. Marc was such a hit, that I got numerous phone calls from friends and family (days after the party) saying how much they enjoyed the night because of his awesome playing/​singing skills and enthusiastic spirit!
All in all, I (backed by everyone in attendance), Marc was fantastic! I’m so glad I trusted the Unilocal reviews I read and went ahead and booked Marc. We will definitely be seeing more of him at our next big family gathering!

Marc is very talented and a great guy. I have seen him perform at two events and both times it was a real treat.

We recently hired Marc for our wedding at the posh California Club in downtown LA. He’s simply outstanding. Very professional, very well prepared, flexible in the design of the playlist (which is versatile) and a sincere pleasure to work with. One additional benefit of working with Marc is that you can «rehearse» with him at the Left Coast Wine Bar where you can hear him play, discuss songs, and even practice a possible song or two with him if you so desire. If style, class, and professionalism is what you require and demand, then you certainly won’t be disappointed with Marc.

Recently hired Marc to help me record a song that I wanted to give to my wife for our 29^th wedding anniversary. I was absolutely amazed by how well it turned out particularly since I DO NOT SING. I mean, not a note. Marc was incredibly patient and creative (emphasis on creative) in helping me pull this off. His piano playing was beautiful and his mixing and editing skills first rate. And a truly good guy which made what I expected to be a very painful experience actually fun!

I met Marc at the Left Coast Wine Bar. My whole family are huge fans of his. He is a versatile musician and a kind man. Just love watching him play the piano. I often sing when he plays, and those moments are just awesome. He brings out the best in me (vocally). Check him out!!! And if you have an event, then he is the one for you!

Me and my husband were lucky enough to hire Marc for our wedding. He made our day absolutely beautiful! We were pretty particular about our ceremony music and had asked him to play specific songs, and Marc just rocked it. He’s a great performer and an incredible artist! So many of our guests couldn’t say enough of how great he was! He’s just awesome. Really great person to work with too. We LOVE him!!!

I met Marc at some of his gigs: Parkway Grill, The Varnish, Left Coast Bar and Vitello’s. It’s great to see how he interacts with the crowd and has a smooth way to find the right music to please you.
Later, as a producer I had opportunity of working with Marc in some of his own tunes and I found not only a pianist, but also a great composer and singer.
I already had a chance to recommend him to some gigs, and will be glad to keep doing the same.

Marc Bosserman has magic ears and deft fingers. He can play beautifully in many styles, and is the perfect choice for an event, party, accompanying singers and instruments of all types and, well, he’s just the best.
I’m sure there are other things he does well, but there’s just not enough space!

Marc Bosserman is great. I’ve seen his band quite a few times. Huge repertoire, Marc has a cool voice with a wide vocal range. Marc and his band play numerous styles of music and you can tell they’re having fun dong it — not like some bands who you know can’t wait for the gig to be over — these guys enjoy what they’re doing. I highly recommend him.

I referred a film director I have worked with to Marc Bosserman for a party he was having. All the guests loved Marc and his trio… so much so, they had him come back the next year! If it hadn’t been so cold, I would have stood outside and listened to them all night!
