Jeanine and Julie created the perfect tropical mural for my patio in less than three days. They were professional, efficient, reasonably priced and, most of all, amazing artists. They created a lush effect with palm trees, shrubs, plants and even realistic grass. To top it off, they painted my two small parrots on a door next to the wall that looks amazingly real. I would highly recommend Hattas Public Murals and give them an A+!

Jeanine is INCREDIBLE! No other words to describe this hard working lady, she responded to me really quick and helped make my one vip room come alive within a weeks request for our Hookah lounge. So so excited for our grand opening; she made an impossible idea of a swirling room with a chesire cat theme happen
To be honest, her work speaks for itself. Its beautiful and full of character and passion just like herself. Her pricing was great, she met us in the middle as we were on a budget. Im truly thankful we crossed paths

Where do I begin? Jeanine is the consummate professional, and a complete joy to work with! We commissioned her to paint a mural for our home. She did such a beautiful job that we’ve now also commissioned her to paint a portrait of our two beautiful Bichons. I give Jeanine 5 stars, and if there were more to give, I’d give her those, too! You will not be disappointed!

My family and I have had a family portraits done on many occasions with Jeanine. Our grandfather had a portrait in mind that was very specific, 4 artists later we met Jeanine through a business partner who had commissioned her in the past. What an incredible experience. Jeanine listened to our requests and some how read between the lines to delivered a spectacular likeness of Grandfather that we are all proud of. Jeanine is most certainly our family artist into the future.

Jeanine Hattas is extremely talented and wonderful to work with. In fact, we love her and her work so much that we have commissioned several murals from her and all turned out better than we imagined. Jeanine is extremely professional and is truly an artist in every sense of the word. We are looking forward to when we have another project Jeanine will beautify.

I’m going to do my very best to be fair in reviewing the work Jeanine did for me.
I’ll bottom line it first and just recommend that, if you hire Jeanine, be careful.
I’ll start with the good. She has a very sweet, professional and competent demeanor. She’ll be there on time, do her thing, leave no mess and it’ll all run very smoothly. She’s clearly talented enough to do good work a majority of the time.
Now the bad…
If she doesn’t do a good job and you don’t catch it right away, you very well might be left holding the bag. Unlike many other contractors I’ve had, Jeanine was not willing to admit her mistake and put some time into fixing it.
I asked Jeanine to bid on painting a faded black map of the world on the wall behind my bed.
Her quote was $ 1700. When I initially expressed concern over the cost, she told me that her daily rate was $ 850 and it would take her 2 days. I agreed and hired her.
The first day, she showed up around 8am and left around 11:45am. She asked me if I liked the pre-​glazed black map and I said yes because, taken as a whole, it looked good and I assumed it was technically accurate.
She showed up the next day around 8:45 to do the glazing (vintage effect) and left around 12:30.
She came by a few days later for about an hour to touch up the corners of the wall (make them darker).
A few months later when I was just completing the final renovations to my new home, I had my friend over who’s from Detroit. He liked the map, but he asked «What’s this?» and pointed to the area on the US map that represents the Great Lakes. I said «Those are the Great Lakes». He said «Aren’t there 5 Great Lakes?» In Jeanine’s map, there were only 3 and the shape of those 3 weren’t even accurate.
That embarrassing moment caused me to look a little closer at the detail of Jeanine’s work. After comparing it to the original picture I sent her and some real map pictures, it became obvious that she totally failed to accurately represent several parts of the world including leaving out 2 of the 5 great lakes, totally messing up the shape of the UK (that important country we liberated from to form ours), and adding some odd protruding shape (like a peanut still in its shell) to the border of Brazil that doesn’t even exist on a real map. There are several other inaccuracies as well.
When I called Jeanine out on this, she politely refused to fix it, reminding me that I had approved the map at the end of the first day and that it’s a «work of art», which made me quite angry because I wanted a faded map, not an abstract map. She knows this. She gave another excuse that she couldn’t fix it anyway because «once the glaze has been applied…». I had a faux finisher at my house weeks later who told me that was a weak excuse. Finally, she sent me a text with a picture of a black map that she used as the basis for my wall. It was an almost cartoon like version of a world map.
So, basically Jeanine didn’t care enough to come equipped with an accurate map to base my outline on, she worked 2 half-​days + 1 hour and then left me with something that looks good from a distance but that has major distracting and embarrassing flaws.
Then she wouldn’t fix it.
Bottom line… if you hire Jeanine, there’s a pretty good chance you’ll get something good. But if you don’t, you better catch it before she’s done or you could be screwed.

Fresh has done art work for our living room, kitchen and children’s rooms. Jeanine is AMAZING. Her ideas are fantastic — she is a great listener, wanting us to get exactly what we want, but having the creativity to make it a million times better. To have someone be equally professional and artistic is a true gift. I recommend her to everyone and wouldn’t ever think to use anyone else — no need, when you already know the best.
