The review is based on the customer service and knowledge about printing and design. They was not able to answer my question and information of service I was looking for.

I have used Fastsigns multiple times over the last month and they have been professional, quick, and provided an excellent product! Celeste and the crew are wonderful.

I didn’t want to give them one star simply because they delivered the sign to me. I was given the run around for 4 days back and forth and finally was told to stop by early morning and pick up the sign and that it was done. We contacted the sign spinners to stop by early morning under the impression that all we had to do was pick up the completed signs. Debbie stopped by for pick up and was told they had no idea what she was talking about and that the sign has not even been worked on yet. This not only wasted Debbie and the companies time it also sent home the sign spinners who drove from Downtown LA traffic to get here.

Called and tried to get a quote from Sheldon for 4 days, he continually promised to call me back, made excuses when I called him each time and then ultimately never followed up with any options or estimates. Terrible customer service, I would never use them in the future. Very unprofessional!

Absolutely amazing experience working with this Fast Signs location. Sheldon went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure our foam core standees and hanging banner were completed within our very tight deadline (less than 2 days!).
Sheldon kept me up to date via phone and email about my order the entire time, following up anytime there was a question about the artwork or specifics of the items needed.
When I couldn’t make it to their location on a Friday evening (thanks traffic!) he came in on Saturday morning (when they are normally closed) and helped me load everything in my car.
Though this location is further from my office/​home than other Fast Signs locations, I would definitely use them in the future for more orders after their spectacular service.
The foam core standees and vinyl banner were of great quality and looked fantastic. Thanks Sheldon and Fast Signs!

Went in, met with Sheldon. Ordered a hanging pvc banner with grommets and a pvc tube at the bottom for weight. My wife goes in monday to pick up the banner and it’s not done. Was promised it the next day. Called to check in found they hadn’t done the grommets on it — denied that i had asked for it. I was puzzled since this was a hanging sign. So they apologized and grommeted it and eventually delivered the sign Wed morning. I showed up to to discover this was not a hanging sign but a foam-​core type sign mounted on pvc. not what I ordered. Went with it anyway. Called Sheldon to discuss because I know I was quoted for the hanging banner and the additional pvc weight tube. He denied that and says we had gone back and forth on sign type even though I went in there specifically to order a hanging banner. I’m tired of typing this. just skip this place.

As a small business owner, I have had the need for signs for the past 10 years. I have always worked with FastSigns, and they have always been great. But this last week I needed a fairly big job done in less than 48 hours. Sheldon at FastSigns not only helped make sure it would get done, but literally came from his home to meet me after the store closed since I was stuck in traffic, delived the finished product, and I am THRILLED with the results.
Sheldon was courteous, attentive, efficient and was true to his word. I cannot thank everyone there enough, and I cannot say enough good things about Sheldon. THIS is the true meaning of customer service!

As a graphic designer I have worked with many sign and graphic companies. I called FastSigns in North Hollywood to see how their pricing would compare to other local companies and they were a bit high but they were willing to work with my quick turn around needs. Carlos was very helpful and got back to me right away with pricing so I could get the sign completed for my client. The sign came out great and my client was very happy.
It is tough to find a company you can trust when you are outsourcing for your business. I was impressed with their store and look forward to dealing with them again.

What a Godsend. A good friend and I needed some police car logos made quickly and printed on magnetized vinyl for a movie shoot, and a Pasadena outfit called Penpoint badly let us down. We had only hours to find a better printer, and one capable of making magnetized vinyl. The vinyl needed to stick firmly to steel doors on a vintage police car. When Penpoint stabbed us in the back, we had noplace to turn and very little time.
Shelton at Fast Signs came to the rescue. My friend found and phoned him, explained the dilemma, and crossed his fingers. Shelton immediately was able to get the job done, and even gave us a lovely discount as what I believe was an industrial apology for Penpoint’s conduct. Not all printing outfits are like Penpoint in Pasadena, and Fast Signs on Lankershim in Studio City certainly proved it.
My colleague was able to pick up the finished work the following afternoon, and it was beautiful. The magnetized decals fit the police car perfectly, and the shoot was saved.

I own a small business here in North Hollywood. We print a good amount of marketing materials and in awhile we need to print signage for our company and for some of our clients. We used to use FastSigns when they were on Ventura Blvd, so I’m VERY pleased they moved into my neck of the woods.
The first time visiting this store we had a small mishap in my order. My signs were done wrong and the person who took my order was not being very helpful with fixing the problem. I actually almost didn’t make my trade show, which I needed the signs for.
This problem turned into a good thing very quickly. It just so happened that the owners of the stores were in there while I was trying to fix my sign issue. They kindly stepped up offered to completely fix my problem reprinted my signs and actually gave me an extra sign just for being a customer. I can honestly say these guys went above and beyond the call of duty and really made me happy. I was a bit worried there for a minute, but they took care of business and I will be returning many many times.

I needed two acrylic panels to cover a church sign in Burbank and Carlos at FASTSIGNS was amazingly helpful and professional.
When I was unable to communicate the quirky set up that our sign has he stopped by to measure it and get the right measurement; when I couldn’t come up with a truck to get the sign pieces here he arraigned to have them delivered. Everything was done quickly and on time. I couldn’t be happier.

More trouble than it’s worth.
We were completely disappointed with this place. First they did not meet the specified deadline, then they printed on the wrong material. Once we brought it to their attention and asked for refund, they claimed that that is what we had asked for and refused. Amex is now taking care of it for us.
It’s obvious that if they are willing to go to this length to keep their $ 90 bucks then they are pretty desperate and short sighted.
Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.

I really wanted to like this company. I had them do some work which was great. However then things just got left. I would call and leave messages and then email.
I would never hear back. I have had to change to a different sign company. I really think that they need comunication help.

Worked with Fast Signs previously and the service was below average but decided to give it another go. I have a company and was interested in getting some assistance with creating a name plate for each of our employee’s at our whole company. Would be about 50+ name plates.
With no experience in this area, what I was looking for was some assistance with ideas or any type of help to understand typical sizes, etc. etc.
When I called, I was transferred to «Carlos» who answered his phone on the speaker phone. First, for customer service on a sale, using a speaker phone can come off a bit unprofessional.
Next, he proceeded to eat while talking to me which I found even more rude.
But these two items I could let go and forgive. What did it for me was when I was trying to get his «expert» opinion and assistance with a typical size for a name plate on a door. He said «There isn’t any» and it’s all up to me. I then kindly asked again if he could provide a size that he did very often for people as this was new to me. He repeated that there wasn’t any and suggested I get a measuring tape and measure what I felt was best.
At that point, I felt like I was inconveniencing him. As an expert and full time employee in this area, I was looking for Fast Signs assistance. Any type of opinion on their end would have been welcomed and appreciated. He didn’t seem willing to help or ask me any questions about what my needs were, etc. You know… typical customer service things.
I wasn’t aware that Fast Signs is unable to provide that extra level of service. Instead it seems that they need to be given exactly what they need to do and they will just do that. But if you want any opinions on ideas and thoughts… then these are definitely not the guys.
From putting a sales call on speaker phone, to eating food while talking and then finally not being able to assist with a sale and giving thoughts/​opinions, etc… these guys are a BIG NO on my end and I will not be utilizing their services ever again.

I have been a customer for over 8 years of this fastsigns location. I called this week to get a quote on a banner, had to call back twice as my call was not returned. Was quoted a price, told the person on the phone that it was great and I would get him the artwrork in the morning. I sent the artwork, called to confirm he got my email and to get the order going. He was busy, was going to get back to me, didnt called again. He finally sent me email with quote over twice the amount he quoted the day before. Of course by now it’s after hours and no one answered phone. I left message to call me first thing in the morning, no call. I called and asked for owner, explained what happened, the end result he backed his employee who clearly lied to him and I didnt order or will I ever order from these peole again. BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE!!!

«Eek! Me Thinks Not» is the understatement of the year on this one.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND QUALITY MATERIALS/​PRINTING EVER… Lemme detail this out for y’all:
Sometime in ’09 I called, then came into the store and spoke to a pleasant man named Sheldon, who was awesome and helped take our order for two retractable display banners.
when they were ready, i went to pick up and the color was dull on both banners and not a panatone match (though we had provided the details) and so I needed to speak with the boss — who was a new guy who just «bought» the place. A young guy and his wife and baby who ran things there in the store. they seemed nice and knowledageble enough.
he agreed to reprint for us — but we had a complication of a deadline and so we needed to borrow them for a show (despite their imperfection they were «ok»), then return for the repair. Understanding this, the boss made a deal and it seemed easy enough.
we returned them in a few weeks (shipping, etc.) in perfect condition for the reprint. and then picked them up again.
the reprints were an eclectic mix of artwork we had provided them… so again, a reprint. By then (only 30 days later) the «owner didn’t work there anymore… he quit or something and someone else took over (his brother?) we don’t know what kind of drama was going on at the time…
the banners were printed and the company was were kind enough to drop them off to us, so this nice girl drove 7 miles down ventura blvd. to our place and dropped them off. Happy to inspect them, we anxiously opened them up … after she left OF COURSE, cause — wouldn’t ya know… BLANK BANNERS. what the hell? so she had to come back again and drop off OUR actual items the next day — and we were „satisfied“ with them. (Not overjoyed, overwhelmed or amazed — just Satisfied»)
So we took them to one show in November — but the adhesive was coming off of one, so we taped it mid-​show. THEN the other banner broke completely and needed to be repaired. We waited to get them done (because there was no show/​rush — and they are down the road, so admittedly it was a few months…) But!
Our designer goes into the store, receipt in hand — and discusses the banners, their state and a little history of the situation. the guy agrees to fix it. so a few days pass and the designer goes to pick them up — examines them onsite and is shocked to see gigantic scratches down the banner that were not there before we dropped them off! the other was completely creased! Needless to say, this is not acceptable condition and when he attempted to discuss with the new owner on hand (that makes number 3 in about 10 months time) DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE GUY SAYS???
«Not my problem» and he outright refuses to fix it and demands that our guy pay him $ 25 for the «repair job.» on his defective product that HIS company sold us to begin with. At $ 299 each you can see why this review is as long as it is.

–i will never go to them for printing/​material needs again.
–i would never endorse or reccommend them to anyone.
–i dont’ know how a guy like this reps a company and stays in business.
Fast Signs is a franchise business, so if you’re looking in the Studio ciuty area for printing choose another FS, or a great little company at Laurel Canyon and Ventura called NuPrint. these guys know their stuff, are nice and helpful and usually don’t screw it up. This isn’t an endorsement for those guys per sey — just get your printing anywhere else except THIS F.S. location. You’ve been warned! :)

OK, I am trying to cut back on my raving 5 star reviews, but it isnt going to start here… They are what they say –Last year printed up an awesome banner of some artwork for me in 3 days and even did a Pantone color match no charge — They called the second the order was done (like they said they would) and I got my sign all grommeted and perfectly done. Ordered 2 more new designs last month and again all was Easy Breezy Lemon Squeezy — who needs things to be complicated when FASTsigns is here! (I believe they are each independently owned and operated, so I pick this one — ask for Sheldon or Bryan!)

Do ya ever have one of those days when you just need a sign! Well so long as it’s not an answer to the universal question of why are we here or why am I with this annoying ass clown, then FAST SIGNS can help!
The employees here are super friendly the minute you walk in and not the typical ‘Crap my boss is watching so ‘Hi can I help you (I wish you would leave)’ service either. Just genuinely nice people that all crack jokes and laugh. I love laughing when getting a sign.
They did a custom job for me last year and turned a teensy little postcard into a giant poster and the quality was divine. So whether it’s a banner, a poster or an I’m With Stoopid sign, this is your place!
