Creation Station Studio City is a distinguished enrichment center for children. Dance, Karate and Musical Theater are among the many classes that Creation Station Studio City offers for children ages 18 mos. — 16 years. Focusing primarily on dance, Creation Station Studio City’s philosophy is to tap into a child’s imagination by encouraging him or her to develop their own personal, artistic and educational strengths in a nurturing environment. We allow our children to tap into their own imaginations and learn in vastly different ways from traditional education. Creation Station Studio City stresses that quality instructors should offer plenty of praise and encouragement in order to build self-​esteem, coordination, focus and cognitive skills both inside and outside of the classroom. We continually strive to create innovative and exciting learning experiences to stimulate young minds. Recognizing, that sometimes for no good reason at all, kids just want to have FUN!

Business Owner

At a very early age Amy began her study of dance, music and theater. She continued her passion for the creative arts throughout her tenure at the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. After completing her undergraduate work, she began teaching music and dance in and around Los Angeles to the pre-​school set. She soon went back to school to gain the educational expertise to work with kids, and received her graduate degree at USC where she earned her Masters in Science of Education with a concentration in Child Development. During this time, she also began developing a music and movement curriculum that would excite and stimulate children, engage their imaginations and nurture their creative spirits. With 4 children of her own, the next step was to bring all of her parenting, educational and arts experiences together. Amy found just the place to do this at Creation Station Studio City.

This place is awesome! My daughter has been here for over a year now. She’s now 3. Tried it out just for fun, and she ended up loving it. The staff is awesome. Very, very organized and so easy to work with even if you have a busy schedule. Make ups are very easy to do. The teachers are the best. They remember all the dancers by name, they are very patient, and so enthusiastic. No wonder all the dancers here are great :)

My daughter has been attending this studio for about a month. My daughter loves Miss Blanca’s class. She is still a toddler and Miss Blanca really does a great job keeping the flow going and keeping the little one’s attention. My daughter is very shy and I was concerned that maybe the class was not for her since all the other girls were very extroverted and knew all the dance moves, but Blanca spoke to me and my husband stating that she is just observant and will be dancing in no time. My daughter is warming up the the idea and little by little she is opening up and we love it. I love that Miss Blanca caters to all personalities and really engages my baby.
We plan on attending Creation Station for as long as we can thanks to Miss Blanca.

My 2 daughters have been going here for years. The teachers are all terrific and the family who runs the place could not be nicer. In June they hold their recital, it is the best run recital in LA. They work so hard all weekend so the parents only have to go to a one hour performance. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would!

This place is amazing! My daughter is 2 ½ and looooooves coming here. Kelly her instructor is just wonderful and I am so amazed with the patience she has with all the little girls. I highly recommend this place.

My daughter has been going here since she was 2 years old and she is now 6. And we both love it!!! The teachers are great especially Miss Kacy. They really know their stuff and are excellent with the kids. Highly recommend this place!!!

My daughter has been going to Creation Station for almost a year and we love it! She is 3 ½ now and takes Ballet/​Tap. We have also tried other fun classes like Hip Hop and Guys & Dolls which were offered to us for make up classes.
All of the teachers as well as the owners who run the studio are very nice, professional, and they offer many classes and camps. There is a great large area for parents/​caregivers to hang out and watch their children dance and there is a 1 way glass which is great so that the kids are not distracted. They hold a recital once a year which was so much fun and VERY well done. I highly recommend Creation Station in Studio City for young boys and girls!

Love it! My daughter started at Creation Station when she was only 22 months with Miss Kelly. It was the perfect introduction to dance. She took classes until she was four-​years-​old and we moved out of the area. I can’t speak highly enough about the staff, the owners (Amy and David), and the other parents involved. I made some of my best mom friends here and my daughter made some great friends as well. The recitals are lots of fun and never too long. I highly recommend Creation Station, Studio City.

Although my daughter as just been to one class so far, I agree with everyone else that this place is worth the five star rating.
A year ago, my daughter was enrolled in the la ballet academy in Encino. Although the place was very professional, most of the staff and parents were very snotty. We could only take one semester session with them. This of course led us to look for a quality ballet studio that was geared towards children and was also fun for the parents. When we moved to studio city it seemed like every mom with a pint size ballerina recommended creation station. Sure enough Unilocalers also agree that creation station was the place to go.
A few weeks ago, Lilly put On her tutu and headed to Her first class. The children and parents were very nice and the teachers were amazing. By amazing I mean they actually related and got down on Lilly’s level (bonding over dance moves to my little pony). The owners (husband and wife) are very nice and helpful too. They switched our clAss time several times for our family and went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
My only complaint (and its not that big of a deal) are the chalk boards under the front desk:) I wasn’t expecting them to be there and I did get colorful chalk all over my jeans. So if you see a bunch of moms wondering around the valley with chalk all over their jeans, just know that they love their kids and go to one of the coolest dance studios in town:)

Couldn’t love this place more. I have been coming here for 3 years now, first with my older daughter and now with my younger one.
We have had maybe 5 or 6 different teachers over the years and they have all been stellar. The owners are lovely, lovely people. The recitals are so well run and organized. We even did Musical Theatre camp over the summer and it was another wonderful experience.
Your kids will love it here!

Creation Station is such a fun and easy going place. I have two girls who have started with Happy Feet classes. My youngest is taking karate and ballet. My oldest is 9 and is now taking ballet2 with Ms. Kacee, which is a real ballet dance experience, while still being fun and easy going. There are so many options for ALL kinds of kids. They have wonderful recitals twice a year, and it’s just the most family friendly place you could go to with your kids. We have formed some wonderful friendships just by hanging out there over the years. I totally recommend this place for everyone. I also wanted to note that making up classes is super easy here, they totally understand busy families and you can make up a missed class in any of the classes they offer, not just the one you are signed up for.

Great place for kids, very friendly environment, caring and professional teachersAll teachers are great but we especially love Miss Kelly who is so good with kids. She’s got the magic touch to reign kids in when they misbehave or not following directions. My three year old has been coming here over a year. She looks forward to her ballet and tap dancing class every week. I also met some wonderful parents here. The whole place just gives me a good vibe.

we love this place. we’ve been taking classes here for over 3 years. parents of tutu-​donning princesses schlep here from all over town and this is why.
TEACHERS
we’ve never had a bad teacher, from Miss Melodee to Miss Kelly – truly, they are all amazing. their teaching style is great – the goal is to have fun and they strike the delicate balance between being nurturing, yet structured.
OWNERS
Amy & David are also wonderful. they send out emails if your instructor is going to be out and i love the way they organize the annual recital. tickets and costumes are not outrageously expensive (as with other studios); it’s super-​organized (ie, when it’s your kid’s turn to perform, you move up to the front of the audience); and, it’s stress-​free with no pressure on the little ones. it’s all about having fun.
ICING ON THE CAKE
as a bonus, when you’re stuck in the lobby for an hour or in the parent-​participation classes, you get to know some of the other parents and it has become a nice community for us.
PRICING
rates are $ 20/​class, a tad higher than other studios or enrichments. i wouldn’t mind if it were easier for us to take make up classes. when we have to miss a few classes for two girls, that’s a $ 120 down the drain.

Miss Melodee’s teaching has been amazing. Every Saturday night, my 6-​year old daughter conducts a dance class at home, she’s the teacher, I’m the student, and she teaches me every thing Miss Melodee taught her in class that day. She can stretch and bend in ways that I can’t no matter how hard I try. Thanks to what she learned in her Creation Station «Ballet 1» class, she has abilities I can only dream of having! She tried to correct my positioning, but my out-​of-​shape 48 year old body, complete with stomach pouch just could not stretch and bend the way she is able to after all those weeks taking Miss Melodee’s class!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! The owners are fabulous, teachers are wonderful and loving with the kids. My daughter (3 years old) takes a tap/​ballet class once a week and it is all she ever talks about. They even offer classes for kids as young as 18 months. Classes are affordable and so much fun for the kids. We love Creation Station!
