Stuarts Draft Retirement Community and Christian Homes is owned and administered by two local families who are on site daily to guarantee that their residents are receiving the highest level of care and personal attention. We are motivated to please our clientele who are our neighbors and community members. Manager

My family purchased Stuarts Draft Retirement Community in 1996. I was 9 years old at the time and have lots of memories growing up with the family business. I started working for SDRC when I was 10, mowing the grass, planting and watering flowers and weed eating. My wages were $ 2/​hr! I enjoyed the work, and often worked next to my dad who was doing everything he could to keep the community looking great.

Of course I also enjoyed playing in the community with my sister. We would roller blade down the large paved pathway that ran between the main building and the original barn, signing «skate attack, we’ll be back» over and over again. Another favorite was riding the community golf cart. We also loved playing kick and catch with an over sized kick ball.

I grew up in this community. I love it here and its part of my family. I have worked my way from weed eating to managing, though I still enjoy help with yard work from time to time!
