Comcast Service Center

Wish no stars were possible here. In addition to an inferior product overall. Spent 134 minutes over several calls this morning. First DVR box ‘fixed’ for third or fourth time in 10 weeks– including my having to return original box to their office to avoid a service call — then to ‘fix’ laptop wireless internet connection I was transferred by Comcast to a third party who wanted my credit card number to charge me $ 79.95 to make my windows vista operating system compatible with thier wifi modem?! Subsequent call back rep John wanted to transfer me to someone to explain my problem to! Tkt # CR549235203 Would have already switched providers but condo hoa married to Comcast cable. Hoping to find alternate wifi access. Also, no live communication during this entire period was with anyone with an American accent. In fact, first call back came from a foreign language — no English — speaker.

There is a reason why Comcast is on the top of the most hated companies in the world. Horrible service, dishonest organization, disgraceful culture. Soon the Internet will allow access to all channels and maybe we all can CHOOSE a better and more reputable organization.

Comcast has earned the low ratings it gets for service, so I was not expecting much. However, my experience at the Britt Rd service center was excellent. I was greeted promptly and Clint gave us friendly, professional service, helping us with our new home’s installation.

It’s pretty much as described. Take a number, and wait with the other customers. Most are disgruntled, and the conversations are quite amusing. I had an easy issue, just swapping equipment, and it went fairly smoothly. I still waited 30 minutes before my number came up.

If you don’t have at least an hour or more to deal with this place don’t bother. The staff here is just as unknowledgeable as the staff on the phone. I’m not sure what’s worse, being outsourced to India where they have no clue about the community discounts or waisting time here. I was in a room with 20 others waiting and 90% were complaining. After 3 months my bill was adjusted to $ 30 dollars more and in no way did I receive a proper explanation. Instead without agreeing to losing channels my bill was adjusted to compensate for the charges by removing channels with out my knowledge. Back the next day and had to deal with an extremely rude and power hungry agent who basically said after an hour of waiting to call customer service on the phone. What?!? When I left two more people were griping about having to go in. Stay away if u can!

The people on the phone have got to be the rudest people on earth. They could care less about customer service. If you want good customer service, look elsewhere. However, they staff at this store seem to be the only people who actually care for their customers. If you have comcast and you want something done right, go to the store. Skip the phone all together because that is nothing more than waste of time

Went to Comcast to pick up a box for a new kitchen TV. Got talked into having Comcast come into my condo and switch all my services from AT&T. Biggest mistake I’ve made in years. The tech arrived within the 2 hour window. After he finished what was needed to be done, I noticed he ran a wire by cutting a hole in a screen to run it into an exsisting outside cable connector. On my return from the gym my laptop did not work. Phone service had a 2 second delay. Wireless printer inop. Basically the tech butchered all our electronics. After 5, yes 5, hours on the phone with 4 different Comcast reps the computer and phone are working. I have to have someone fix the printer as Comcast does not service what they screwed up. This company is truly so unethical, dishonest and I don’t give a“F” attitude it’s not funny. At one point I told the rep on the phone to rip everything out and put my AT&T equipment back. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Stay clear of this horrific company.

This is not a review of this specific office, but a review of Comcast as a company.
I’ve never seen a more dysfunctional company. We’ve been «satisfied» customers for 4 years. Recently we bought a house 800 ft down the street.
I started calling weeks in advance of our move to get service transferred. EVERY time I selected mover’s edge it would ask for my zip code and then say they were experiencing technical difficulties and it would hang up. For 2 weeks? It eventually was getting to crunch time, so I just selected whatever to get a human on the phone. Let me start by saying that any call to Comcast has a minimum 10 minute hold time.
Obviously the person I was speaking with wasn’t in the mover’s edge department, so they transferred me successfully and make sure a human picked up the phone before completing the transfer. I spend 20 minutes on the phone with this individual when she notices I’m part of an HOA bulk account and then says she has to transfer me. Once again, she made sure someone answered before completing the transfer.
The next individual was as incompetent as a rock. All I want to do is move! No, she has to sign me up with a new account. I don’t understand why. I had a really good thing going billing wise and I didn’t want to lose it, but no, my bill is going to go up 30−40%. Anyways, I notice there’s extremely long delays between my questions and getting pricing. I don’t get this, I kept repeating, I just want what I have. I was willing to sign up for the security services, but this was dragging on! I mean, I started my hour lunch break at work on the phone with this person, drove to a sub shop, went to the gas station, ate my lunch, and had to return to my office because lunch was over. When I asked why this was taking so long, she accused me of constantly changing my mind! Wait, what??? She kept giving me a price and I would ask if that included my HD, DVR, additional receiver and she would say no. Then why give me the price? I just had enough and said whatever you have on the screen, do it. I’m out of time and I’ll deal with it later.
Never was installation costs brought up. A tech shows up and plugs in the receiver and hooks up the internet and leaves. I had to reprogram the wireless to match how I had it in the other house, otherwise I’d have to reprogram all my computers, laptops, printers, cell phones, etc.
Later that day watching tv we start experiencing weird anomalies, the screen would get snowy and the sound would drop out for a fraction of a second randomly. Maybe it’ll clear up so I gave it a few days but it started getting really annoying. Then we had a DVR issue recording something and I recalled having these issues years ago and the only thing which fixed it was changing out the receiver.
So I called tech support, another 10 min hold. 25 minutes on the phone, the tech has me power cycling, turning it off and on and off and on and off and on and off and on… over and over. She says try that and call back if it doesn’t work. Really? She doesn’t know these are bad receivers? Ok…
A few more days go by, the issue hasn’t cleared up at all. We had experienced another DVR recording problem, and then in the morning I was having a HDMI sync issue I couldn’t resolve when I tried watching tv. If I switched to any other HDMI device, it would appear on the TV, but the Comcast would just produce snow then black over and over.
So I call tech support. 20 minute hold time… The tech has me power cycling, turning it off on over and over. We can’t get it working. So I mention I have my dvr from my previous address. I know this DVR works. So she activates it, I plug it in, and I have TV!
A few hours later I go to record something and the recording doesn’t activate. I hit list and it says my DVR service is inactive, that I need to call support. Are you kidding me??? I have HBO and check that it still works and it does.
So back to the phone and after another 15 minutes on hold the tech has me power cycle, turn it on, turn it off, over and over. DVR service won’t activate. It’s been 20 minutes and she says lets schedule a tech, but I believe your DVR service will start working in 20 minute and you won’t need the service call. It’s a Thursday and the soonest I can get a tech at a time of my convience is Tuesday and I booked it.
The next day I get 2 phone calls, one from retention and another from a level 2 tech support guy.
Retention wants to follow up on the closure of my account at my previous address. Really!?! I plead my case to get my previous billing restored to no avail and wasted 20 minutes on the phone with them.
The level 2 support guy asks if my issue still exists. I check and say yes. He wants to power cycle and do the on off non-​sense and I told him I did it yesterday. He says ok and doesn’t push to do it again. He then confirms my appointment for Tuesday and states the service is at my previous address, but he did

I just got a letter from Comcast… that I was going to have to pay $ 17.95 more a month for each of my DVR services… Merry Xmas!

Rating = 0… ZERO !!! Their any room DVR technology does not work. After several months of tech visits, phone calls, etc., they said they could not get it to work. Naturally, I cancelled their TV, internet & phone.
Then 9 months later they send me a bill for $ 176, even though I do not have any equipment, hardware or services. After calling Comcast to straighten out their mess, they hung up on me.
Typical customer NO service from a mega-​lousy company. Stay away from this dishonest, low tech outfit.

This review is for actually going INTO the office on Britt Road @ Federal (not for calling or online help).
Yeah, the wait is usually a while… but the people working there are really nice folks. They do their best to help you out, give you all the necessary info, and attempt to make your time spent at Comcast not feel like a total waste. Bonus that Comcast is located right next to Target and Total Wine!
