History

Established in 2004.

Joe Silva has been doing carpentry since high school. Larry Smith had recently retired from the Portsmouth Shipyard. They came together to create Silva Smith Quality Carpentry. They have built homes, duplexes, a 4 unit condo, additions, garages, remodeled kitchens and bathrooms, built farmer’s porches and plenty of decks. They’ve done floors, windows, doors, crown molding, stairs and railings, roofs and siding. Joe has always loved helping homeowners create the living spaces that they want.

Business Owner

Joe has been doing carpentry for the past 20 years. He has worked under a few different contractors learning what to do and what not to do. Now on his own he has perfected many techniques especially in trim work. He can look at a set of plans and know exactly what will work and what won’t work before the project even starts. His business philosophy is to take the extra minute to do it right and make it look great versus good and always leaving the customer satisfied so they’ll call him back for all their projects.
