We recently used Dunbar moving to move all of our belongings to a new apartment, from a house. Their price was very good. The two young men who moved us were friendly, courteous, and did an amazing job. Nothing was broken, no scratches on any of the furniture or walls, and they took the time to ask us where we wanted everything. My wife wanted to replace the box spring covers and even helped her by holding up the mattresses. i also had a delivery of two heavy boxes the same day we were moving in and they brought those up for us, without us even asking. They were GREAT! We would highly recommend them to anyone. They are the exact opposite of the «three brothers moving» movers on the Optimum commercials.

Dunbar moved my parents (who are seniors) into their new apartment this week. They were reliable, friendly, super fast and very reasonably priced. These guys worked their asses off and put each of my parents’ fears to rest (there were a lot). I’m so grateful that they were there to handle the load — it allowed the rest of us to attend to the unpacking and getting things in order. It’s rare that you meet movers who are both so professional and so accommodating. They were terrific.

Used Dunbar Moving earlier this week on my move from a one bedroom apartment to a house.
It’s hard to find a good moving company whom you can trust, which is why I highly recommend using Dunbar for your moving needs.
I appreciate that Terry was able to help me get the liability insurance that my Co-Op’s management company required in a snap. The movers that he sent were courteous and professional. The job took an hour longer due to some bad traffic, but the guys did a fantastic job over getting everything from point A to point B.

Dunbar moving performed a great job with our recent move. My wife, myself, and our newborn baby were relocating from an Apartment in Astoria Queens to a house in East Setauket.
I contacted Dunbar Moving fairly last minute, Terry was very accommodating, he was able to fit me into his schedule on a Sunday night. I was very grateful for that.
His crew worked fast and efficient, the pricing was also terrific. All in all we had a great experience with Dunbar, I highly recommend their moving service.

I recommend Dunbar Moving without reservation, and here’s why: I called on Saturday to ask if they could move the contents of a small house on Sunday. That’s right. You heard me: the next day! And, yes, Terry said that they could. What is more, the fee was reasonable, so we set the date. Everyone told me not to expect them to show up, but they were 15 minutes early!
I was sure that the entire household would be packed and they would just need to load everything on the truck, so we estimate a 2 man, 2 hour job. That turned out to be an optimistic estimate. The 2-hour job turned into a 6 hour job, including a 1 hour lunch break. I felt bad, but Ronnie and Matt could not have been nicer about it. They did a beautiful job, were pleasant to us and very respectful of our property.
We paid cash, but that might have been because it was a last-minute job. They may take credit cards otherwise.
They really knew what they were doing and they worked non-stop. Moving is such an awful experience, but they made it almost bearable. All in all, a terrific moving company. Thank you, Dunbar!

My boyfriend and I just moved into our new home and Dunbar did the moving for us. Terry the owner was very nice and professional over the phone. The quote was very reasonable and competitive based on an hourly rate. The guys showed up right on time and got right to work. They were also very nice, courteous and professional. They moved at a great pace and did the whole job in about six hours. Nothing was broken or scratched and the guys even put couches and other furniture back together. It was such a pleasant experience during a stressful time. I would definitely use Dunbar again and will recommend them in the future!

I just moved and started calling places 1 month in advance most of the places were out of area and were charging a lot of money. But then I called Terry from Dunbar Moving, he gave me a great rate which I was amazed at and also the movers arrived on time and it took them only about 3 hrs to do the total move. My move was about 15 miles away and I had a 1 bedroom lower level apartment which I was moving from to a 2 bedroom main floor house. I usually don’t write reviews but I can’t rave them enough. I would recommend Dunbar to anyone, looking to move safely and on a budget, no hidden fees and charges just awesome service:)
Btw:I had a 70 inch TV which I was afraid might get damaged and they took good care of the TV and moved it safely!! I don’t remember all of their names but Chris and the crew were great!! Thanks for making this stressful time easier for us

I did a lot of research choosing the best moving company for my small one bedroom apartment. Terry’s quote was reasonable, so after talking to him I hired them for my move. They arrived about 30 minutes late, but that did not delay my estimated arrival time to my new place. The guys were very professional and handled the items well. We encountered problems fitting my couch in, so the movers took it apart, squeezed it in and successfully reassembled it. Again, very time consuming and frustrating for both me and them the situation never seemed to be out of control. Terry was very calm and professional. I would hire them again without hesitation.
